Today we're in York! York is an incredibly old, historic city situated in Northern England. We begin our day on the southern end of the city walls were we take a nice stroll along the ruins that once marked the perimeter of the city. From Fishergate Bar all the way up to Bootham Bar, we get some pretty incredible views of York Minster!
We enter the old town through Bootham Bar & immediately take one of the many snickelways hidden throughout the city. This provides an incredible approach & view of York Minster. We highly recommend taking this route if you're trying to see York Minster from a beautiful angle!
From there we make our way toward the Shambles. The Shambles is a medieval market street lines with all types of shops to peruse through. We made pit stops in the Harry Potter store & the Christmas store, but there are so many others that you can enjoy shopping in. From there we walked back to The Shambles Market to grab a quick bite to eat. Hannah got the fish tacos & Trey opted for the Thai Chicken & Rice, because nothing screams York, England more than Thai food right?? LOL
After a great lunch, we made our way over to York Minster. Along the way we decided to look for some of the many cats along the York Cat Trail. This trail is so fun & the perfect activity for families. Kids everywhere were having so much fun searching for the cats along the sides of the stores & shops. It was so fun to take part in! We entered York Minster & couldn't believe the beauty. This cathedral commands the skyline in York & has a stained glass window the size of a tennis court!!
From there we decided to embrace the spookier side of York. We thought it'd be fun to end our best things to do in York, England with a few pints in some locally haunted pubs. We went to the Snickelway Inn, where supposedly theres a ghost that's been seen walking through the back wall of the pub. There are also reports of a ghost in the cellar, but we weren't able to go down there as that is for staff only. After Snickelway Inn, we walked back down The Shambles to Golden Fleece. This bar had a lovely skeleton at the bar but he seemed more friendly than spooky. We had a couple of pints there & decided that maybe it wasn't all that spooky either. We will say though, there are rooms in the pub that you can stay in over night so maybe that's the best way to experience the haunts!
We had such an amazing time in York & HIGHLY recommend this city for anyone looking for a great day with family & friends. Thank you so much for watching & see you in a few days!!

Great video. I've never been to the Snickleway Inn, but I have been to the Golden Fleece. It was on a late night pub crawl. I don't remember seeing a ghost, but in the shape I was in I wouldn't have remembered it if I had.
That's incredible🤣🤣 Hannah's not much for ghostly things, but I was kinda hoping we'd come across something. Unfortunately no luck on that front. Maybe next time we'll just have to stay a few nights to see if anything comes our way. And a late night pub crawl sounds like an absolute blast in York. I go to York regularly as I only live about 50 miles north of York and have stayed at The Golden Fleece 4 times. On one stay was woken in the middle of the night by something kicking the bed. An hour later as getting back to sleep it happened again. Later in the night I felt someone sitting on my legs pinning me down. I had to really struggle to get up. It backed off when I told it to **** off. 😂
YIKES!!!! Yeah maybe us trying to book a stay at the Golden Fleece next time we're there might not be a great idea. I'm sure Hannah would absolutely hate an experience like that😅😅

Nice butt, York ? Someone has to go ! It`s an hour away and I haven`t been there in years notwithstanding it`s a pleasant city. I really should make the effort to spend a day there this Summer. The City of Lincoln too - sixty miles away from York and more or less as ancient and with a more magnificent looking cathedral - especially when one approaches the city from the south, seeing La Catedra atop the hill is worth the walk. For 4000 years the Pyramids of Egypt were the tallest man made structures in the world. Then in the late 11th century Lincoln Cathedral took that appellation away from Cheops and his Great Pyramid at Giza.
I can never remember which Holy Roman Emperor was crowned thus in York - nor in which year. But anyhow, someone was.
I must have been to York about 50 times and until now have been totally ignorant of the cats. Thank you chaps, I shall look out for them the next time I sojourn yon.
