Seeing someone template doesn’t magically make people better at mixing. It’s good to show add peoples work flow but to many of these kids on here think “ if I have this template I’ll magically get better at mixing”
You Sir Chris, are correct 👍 It's not a magical formula. But for the right viewer, it can build confidence, showcase new tips and tricks from an Industry Engineer, and help our community understand that mixing industry hits isn't as complex as many people make it out to be 😎
exactly! biggest thing is no one shares your ear! not to mention front end, monitoring, room acoustics etc.. if everyone had the same pre/mic/monitoring etc a template would do wonders, but thats my biggest gripe about templates or presets.. ive made my own for 15+ years but again sharing it with others will show my workflow but how i work isn't going to work for everyone as they dont have my same 15k vocal tracking chain, aren't using the same monitors, my room was tuned acoustically and have active dsp etc... but its always an easier way to understand how a sound or mix was created. take some of the workflow and apply it to your next mix but never just load a template and expect it to make you sound like a platinum artist i remember the days of cutting or boosting so much.. now i dont make a move over 3-4db and if i do its for sound design now to make something sound better, but sound different but good video kevin and hope many can learn that you dont need to have every plugin,a $20k computer etc to mix a great sounding record... even with a 2track... the only extra thing i wouldve done is use soothe or gullfoss sidechained on the bet from the vocals to duck accordingly for the vox to be upfront but if you know da baby's music his vox are definitely upfront
Hello Audio Academy, I have been watching your videos and I have seen that you could bring Jason Cheese, the engineer of NBA Youngboy, I have spoken with him and he told me that he is interested in making a similar video, could you bring him and do the mixing breakdown with the song Vette mottor ?
Annnnd… Most of the songs on KIRK were 2-Tracks 😅 Granted, most of these 2 Tracks were beats by some of the hottest producers in the industry, so that always helps!
I wanna know how u use them Valhalla plugs v interesting
Thank you for your efforts. That means the world to me. Viewing engineer workflow gives you an idea about where you are on your own journey.

I was tryna tell this old head engineer that our generation don’t GIVE NO FUCKS. Music must be made.. efficiently.
@@charleeparkerxo dont give no fucks about about quality lol
Need a Logix pro x template 🤑🤑🤑
What DAW is that?
Kevin uses Pro Tools 🎛️
Does templates come with plugins?
@taeknowsjust crack them 😅
What if u made a app where we just uploaded our song and it was mastered 😂
There’s sites that exists for mastering 👀
Not quiet yet for mixing though.
What daw is that bro
Pro Tools! 😎
Can we hear the song tho?
"BOP" by Da Baby
basically ....just cheat and use CLA .....lol
Ehhh, there’s a little more to it…
But the CLA is a pretty cool trick though, right!? 🔥😎
@@MyAudioAcademy cla used to ruin vocals....but the "trick" u are using is basically turn down the output
