Great video. I have a 2004 Passat 2.8 V6 , Auxiliary Water Pump (078-121-601-B), What is this pump's purpose? Does it have anything to do with cabin heat? Do you get a code if it doesn't work?
I have one ?.... I did everything you just did without putting a pin in the hydro tensioner. by taking the gear out with the crank pulley. installed everything correctly, but now I have misfire on cylinders 1$3.
I did this twice with the Blauparts tool kit. The only problem I had the first time was getting the cam seals out. Second time they had changed the tool, and I didn't use it but instead used a small screwdriver to lever them out. Oh, the crank bolt was a bitch to get through that last 1/2 turn.
Hello Eddie! It seems the engine misfire and timing issues you are having are due to some disassembly and reassembly steps possibly not being followed or missed. It is also best to check your ignition related parts as this may be the cause of your misfires. If you are a current customer of Blauparts our tech lines are available at (920) 758-3232.

I also noticed that the timing mark doesn't line up....by looking at it with timing light. it reads before the arrow by few degrees

Can you please tell me at what miles or kilometers should the belt be changed? I'm getting conflicting information from 120,000 miles or 140,00 miles?
120000km says in manual
