I’ve had my Dewalt since Christmas so it’s been 8 months of constant usage and let me tell you guys… this is the OG of mitre saws. I have abused the factory blades with composite, treated timber and hard wood! And the blade is still sharp and as good as new. 💯 recommend it to anyone who is interested.
@ttdowgcarpentry2390 I'm enjoying your journey into carpentry. You also have an awesome channel👌🏾... excellent Dewalt Mitre Saw review a slight tip when using a miter saw for the 1st time check that the 45 and 90 are correct👍🏾 before use
Europe has the average voltage usually 18v and 54v for dewalt where as the US has the max voltage output. So the 18v batteries can get up to 20v but England is just strict on the rules of having the average stated.
No because the AC adapter is the reason the motor's kept blowing up, I'm on motor number 3, I just use that saw as a spare now, bought this newer saw over a year ago and so far no problems 😅
I'd buy some nice new tools but I'm sick of having them stolen. Just going to make do with the one's I've got. They aren't worth anything so fingers crossed the thieves leave me alone.
I doubt its best mitre saw. I have lots of tools from dewalt but I would never get mitre saw from them. Too big, too heavy and adjustability it's not as smooth and precise as I would like to be. I bought festool and it is day and night. It's like to compare some primitive hand tool with Swiss watches literally 😂 I don't understand why dewalt doesn't design their mitre saws better like fine finish product that works well not like rough tool that's not very user friendly.
Not big difference. I have got 240v which cost me about £850. This flexvolt model I found for around 750 bare untit and over 1058 with batteries and charger and if we compare festool battery powered KSC 60 is £1080 which is very small difference. For me personally I prefer festool for better control it's much more precise and handling and using is much better than dewalt. We have dewalt mitre saw in company and I have used it for couple of days but never again. It was older model but I wouldn't spend a penny on it
@@playingsongs so I checked (and this is nothing against festool, I like the brand)… this dewalt saw is 250mm, I can’t find a 250mm festool, at least on Screwfix. So I’m comparing 216mm saws, the difference is £639 to £875. That’s not a small chunk of change.
I got the same set up and I luv it, and the leaf blower, it’s great for cleaning the table saw too

I always square up the saw when out of the box because it may look square but it could be 1mm out over 300mm.
yo-Ttdowg-relly amazing . so long,)
I like dewalt tools, but the mitre saw takes up way too much room.
Question for you then - What do you prefer a battery powered mitre saw or a wall powered miter? and why?
Why. They have different battery voltage s in other countries?

Britain has strict rules not England Britain has 4countries in it not just England.
@@WdmsWoodwork There's no rules on the displayed voltage, it's just down to the individual companies. There are 20V max tools sold in the UK.
keep it safe though, its not safe in the van
*The DeWalt Dummies didn't make an AC/DC adapter shoe, as they did for its predecessor- just to sell more batteries... SKIP!*

Why do you repeat this comment on every video of the saw
I'm really afraid of this saw, I heard alot of persons complain about the motor failing in a very short time

Its not what you know............

And how much does that Festool saw cost in comparison?
