- The Sequoia is the largest SUV that Toyota builds. For 2024 you will get a new TRD PRO color called Terra, 18in forged BBS wheels and TRD cat-back exhaust. On the inside you will be greeted by a 14in infotainment screen, and soft-tex seating materials. Under the hood is a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 hybrid mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2024 Toyota Sequoia TRD PRO a better SUV to BUY than a Chevy Tahoe Z71?

I love watching things I can't afford.
lol I have that same problem
same but it kinda motivates you to work harder to get the things you desire :). Otherwise, you'll be complacent and do nothing to improve.
Same, fam
Me too
One day the world will be yours! :)
They removed the roll down rear windows and the backseats dont fold flat into the cargo area. Those two reasons alone steer me towards the GM twins. I do like this interior screen size and color options, but once the redesigned Tahoe/ Yukon come out, that will no longer be a factor.
Thanks for sharing your insight on this one
I love Toyota, Chevy, Ford, and Dodge! In terms of me voting for the Sequoia and the Tahoe, I’m going Toyota hands down, because they’re extremely reliable, that’s the reason why Toyota is one of my top favorite brands! Dodge is my top favorite and will always be.
Thanks for sharing your insight
@@RaitisRidesYou’re welcome
Dodge will always remain the worst
I mean traditionally, yes. But I'd put my money on a proven NA V8 in the tahoe/burban vs a new TT V6.
@@Bailey_54Roh, I'm sure that engine is just fine.
It's a Toyota. They absolutely bring the value.
You are hands done right about that
Right take 15k off .old school new price tag 😂no wonder lots are filled with 65k plus suvs
I had a Suburban and couldn’t keep it out of the shop replacing transmissions! Three transmissions in 150K miles and countless electrical problems that kept it in the shop! It was an awesome ride when it ran! But…Never going back that way!
i love the off road spin session, that was fun!! great review once again Raiti's!!
Amazing video again, thank you for the wonderful content and special thanks to the man Steven doing his thang with the camera!!
Toyota is on a roll with their new stuff. I like almost every TRD product. Super nice!
On a roll for higher prices got it .
This would be perfect if the cargo area was not so bad…I guess Toyota doesn’t think anyone shopping full size SUVs have dogs.
it doesnt matter no body can afford them
What a performer off road... was not expecting that. Nice review!
Joe, this comment is just for Steven photography. Thank you for great job, Steven.❤❤
Disappointed with the second and third rows. Also the trunk space is a shame. Too many zonks imo
Love the off road session in this video! Thanks
the spirited drives at the end have made the videos better than ever love to see someone push these new vehicles to their full potential
I like that it has no tow hooks it’s a perfect grocery getter
That's a lot of groceries!
Great review!
80K!! I'll give you 60k final offer. 😂
Yea this is my next SUV guaranteed.
GMC, Cadillac and Lincoln would be my go to as an European observer.
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
81,000$?!?! 😳😳
Absolutely not. These car companies are high
In my area it’s more like 99k
You all forgot what year this is. Everything is crazy expensive
This is their top of the line suv now. Of course it’s pushing 90k
Joe amazing review as always man!!
I’m diggin that color
I’m so glad that you are digging this one!
@@RaitisRides that color is 🔥
Joe, this comment is just for Steven photography. Thank you for great job
I feel like its a beautiful truck but they missed the mark. All they had to do was make the gen 2 better. This takes away the sliding center seats, the roll down rear glass, rhe fold flat seats, and the legroom in the 3rd row. Its the size of a "full size" but the interior doesn't make sense for that price point. They shoulda kept all the good features of the 2nd gen and made it an xl truck in length like a suburban. I think for the grand Highlander and this to be almost the same size it missed an opportunity to be a legit family cruiser. I love my 2nd gen and as nice as this looks people with families probably wont upgrade.
Loving the fender flares!
Great color for 2024...
I like the 22 mpgs in the city for a vehicle this big.
19mpgs
@@kingchakazulu7762still good for something this nice and big
Amazing review Joe.
Truly love the new refresh on this and would have likely gotten it once I’m done with my current SUV but there are 2 things that upset me with this vehicle.
#1 - Hybrid Powertrain for all trims (Long term Reliability + repair costs down the road)
#2 - Lack of 3rd row room + cargo
The lack of room is a no go for me. The older generation has more room. Will probably look at the Ford Expedition.
It is nice and yeah the color is upto the buyer but falls short on cargo compared to the comp. GR8 review I sometimes wish you'd drive over the grass hump in the parking lot when you in an off roader.
LOL I was literally sitting in that at Wesley Chapel Toyota on Friday 😂😂😂
love that color. buu to the power plant. i prefer v8 muscle. ill stay with the tahoe
Always a great review
3:35 Smart idea! Hopefully Toyota will hear you out
5:36 Relatable
Thanks man
@@RaitisRidesYou’re welcome
No second row bench is a deal killer
The bench is a must for more seating space and also really comfortable to lay down across on long road trips since the seats don’t recline.
@@morganw5060 Right? I just don't get it. My kids loved riding on the bench seat with our dog in the middle. Really stupid on Toyota's part
Joe, another great detailed review. So, no 12V port up front?
Spill the beans Joe! You said you have some exciting updates coming our way? 😏 Regarding the 2025 4Runner?
That thing is a beast. I like it better in Solar Octane. Thanks Joe and Steven!
Yes of course Joe & it is good for off-road.
Joe. Great video. How do you compare this to the new interior of the ‘25 Tahoe?
2:40 I thought the very same thing about the Sequoia pulling off the better looks with the redesign. I can't put my finger on it, so I'll just have to go with the obvious - the wheelbase and roofline bring it all together better. Of course, the tire/wheel combo of the TRD Pro package is critical too. 0h, just figured out the MAIN THING,it's the REAR side design element that begins in front of the rear door handles. That's what's bringing it all together for me.
Toyota has a nice color palette for their TRD models. Hard to say which is my favorite
Great review, as usual. I love the new Sequoia. But I prefer the Capstone trim.
Lovely vehicle. My comment on the rear wiper: If the motor mechanism is at the lower end of the glass- its more likely to get damaged as people with groceries etc could hit it accidentally. In contrast if the wiper is mounted on upper section of the rear glass, then the mechanism that moves the wiper is "protected" from random hits form the groceries etc. You could add that to your next video- if you agree. Have a good one.
I like the design with the ladder in the rear. It’s super cool for stacking things. Still would prefer more space without the seats laid down as well though.
Love the vehicle.
Accept the third row seating. I would throw that thing out and make room for my Shepherds .😂
Thanks for the video Lori and Joe.
Funny, I was just at the dealer checking the new Sequoia out!
Thanks Joe…….that was a fun ride ! 🎢
Thanks Tom for riding shotgun
U only get all that torque and hp when the turbos are fully spooled. Otherwise ur gettin standard V6 specs. I’d much rather get the same numbers from a V8 than a twin turbo V6.
This was a great review
Truck looks great but the rear cargo area is disjointed and enough for me to look elsewhere (2025 Tahoe / Explorer).
Love your review Joe, just wish it was more room in the third row and cargo area. Maybe a Grand Sequoia one day.
You are not the first to say that
I’m a Toyota/Lexus fan boy . But they need independent rear suspension for a premium ride & a lithium ion battery so they can move it from under the the third row seats & make a flat floor , would make this suv Awesome instead of just good .
In this class...no other.👍
Great vehicle. Unfortunately the third row is midsize quality . “ Zonk” 😂
Can you put a bed if you remove last 2 row seats 1.80m min
Perfect spec right there. I'd take that one exactly how it is.
That color is "Terra Cotta", not Terra (meaning Earth). This is a decent looking big SUV and on the interior I like the camo on the seats and really like that the infotainment is built into the dash instead of looking like its stuck on with glue like some vehicles. Not a fan of the plastic front or under any SUV that claims it can do off road and the lack of cargo space in the back, the shelf may help but it doesn't make up for a lack of suitcase room.
Great video and thanks
Which trim has the most comfortable ride? Would TRD Pro have it due to more sidewall and better suspension? Or would something like the platinum trim have it?
Maybe the color would look different in person, but I'm not warming up to the exterior shade as it appears on my phone. Love the front styling!
Yeah I know how you feel
an ice cap or magnetic gray with cockpit red interior in the trd pro fits well in my opinion
(oh shoot it's my birthday today)
I personally love Terra. I have a competition orange mustang and it’s my favorite part about the car. This color would look good next to the Mustang and I personally like Terra better than solar octane
My neighbor had the capstone version and traded it for a yukon with the 6.2L, lol.....but i like it
I wanted to buy one but the cargo area made me say no. From those I'd pick the Tahoe or the Lexus 550 which has the option for two rows only.
Lexus GX 550 is amazing
Im waiting for the GX but also thought about removing the third row. It would some slight modification to get it flag but that might be an idea for you.
ما مر عليك مرس ابو بندر Thk you bro keep it up
Joe, not crazy about the color and those fender flares. The front end is just OK nothing to write home about.
If Toyota would stop refusing to offer a long bed pick up with a crew cab it wouldn't be forced to offer an SUV with a 3rd row which only fits 10 year old humans, same with the Lexus LX600 series. That is the reason the Tahoe, Yukon & Expedition will always be kings of SUV's.
Nice ride, I think I prefer the Tahoe. Of course me being the gear head I am, I think it "growled more", nothing like the V8! Mind you I do like the sunroof whereas it's an add on option in the Tahoe. Keep up the great work Joe!!
Right, me too!! Especially the 2025 Chevy Tahoe!!! That thing is sick!!! Nice upgrades!!
Love the color!
Nice Honest Review. May be there is min customization because it is Off road.
This can't be a FULL-SIZE SUV if you're eating your knees in the 3rd row 😆
The Circut City cracked me up a bit 😂. Love your review Joe!
I'm in love with Terra!
Tahoe for me, v8 options for one, diesel option and it rides better.
Hopefully you can enjoy that nice ride all the way to the dealership when the transmission solenoid goes out with 20k miles lol happened to my 2021 Tahoe with the 5.3 v8 . I’ll never ever ever ever own another gm ever again.
You just got a lemon buddy happens unfortunately
Got this for the wife, traded in Mazda CX90 …… I got 40 on trade in value and then payed 35 cash out the door! Let me tell you I wish my Silverado drove like this and has me jelly of the wife 😂……. Beautiful drive all around and lord every time you drive it’s like a boar grunting. Bigger than the Mazda cx90 and more comfy by far! Plus resale value is insane!!! Love love love our Toyota!
Thank you so much for this video, now my mind is made up!!! Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro it is!!
I like the sequoia but the 3rd doesn’t have any room and the cargo area doesn’t have any space
He likes cars. Let’s not be to exiting every time ❤
Good job 👏
That's a big boy
with a not so big boy rear cargo
I like the way you put that
Good enough for me
And 3rd row!
Joe Do a Comparison of the Sequoia and Lexus GX550
You got it! Stay tuned
Didn't zonk the one sided dual exhaust pipes? Joe always does for palisade reviews.
On this Sequoia it looks better
@@RaitisRides ok
There are enough Toyota badges to constantly remind you in case you forget what you’re driving! 😂
No HUD at this price point is crazy or maybe I’m crazy for expecting a HUD lol
For $81,000 the third row and cargo area is a major major zonk for me
Cool color I think
It’s nice!
I have one and I absolulely love it! One of the things you haven't mentioned is that they hold their value! I have had Tahoes and they lose their value quickly
Loving that color
I am glad that you like Terra!
I’ve been inside the Toyota 4runner and it felt so cheap, I imagine this is the same and it would not compare to the tahoe.
Hey Joe, I found out you need an iPhone 12 or higher to use the wireless charging in all Toyota cars, SUV's, and trucks.
Oh wow! That’s crazy
Third row delete should be an option. Would make storage more respectable.
how come no "on throttle"?
That’s one big Highlander 😂. Remember when these were trucks that powered by motors rated for aircraft use?
I want one and it's super better in person.
@Raiti's Rides My only rant about this vehicle is how I wish the 2nd row captains chair can be just optional.. I'm a family of 5 and because TRD only offers a captains chair I now have to put my 3rd row up just so I can fit my family. Now with that up my trunk space is somehow cut in half. Like he said the trunk space design is already a zonk now I am force to just get the limited trim. I wish Toyota will just give an option for captains chair or just have that style only for Lexus.
Does the big light bar come on by itself?
No, you have to hit the switch inside
I like it but the GX550 is still my pick.
