@@areacode3816 i am not sure if Hello Games is even aware of the fact that multiplayer in No Man's Sky is buggy as hell. They haven't fixed it in years.

I just started playing about 2 weeks ago. He has created an amazing game. I can't believe the built all the extras in this game and didn't charge for a DLC or expansion packs. I can't wait for light no fire.

It sheds a lot of light and anyone *still* rambling about scam or lies is a moron.

When Light No Fire comes out, I just say that no matter how it initially launches, Hello Games/Sean will persist. They will hear the players, work on it, and ensure that it becomes great. NMS has proven their persistence, and I think, earned players' trust in them to keep at it until it's a great game. That said, the difference between NMS launch and LNF is that they have a base to go off of this time instead of figuring it out as they go. Lessons learned, coding/dev skills improved, digital assets to start with, etc.

Careful stepping into this storm ;)
Anyway from someone there before release (since the initial trailer), Murray didn't lie. He was a Game dev excited about his project with no PR experience. When he was constantly asked to "explain the game" ... he was explaining their current game design ideas. When asked *explicitly* if something would be their on release, the answer could change. At one point he was asked "Are NPC going to be in the game on release?" ... Murray answered "No." A couple weeks later, they put out a new trailer and it had NPCs shown (IIRC, there was a bug with the NPCs and proc gen they were trying to trace down).
The biggest was in the .... Next Big Thing (??) series for NMS ... Murray was asked point blank "Is everything you've talked about going to be in the game at release." And again, the answer was "No."

I got NMS as a Christmas gift the year it came out. I didn't start playing until after Pathfinder dropped a few months later. Since then I've popped in and out several times over the years and each time I go back, I have a bunch of new stuff to do.

I love NMS. I bought it a few years after launch, having never heard of it. A good game delivers, and keeps getting better. Anyone who didn't preorder NMS and receive it at launch needs to shut up about how they didn't deliver what they promised.

People who are stuck 7 years going on 8 years in the past are just salty because NMS has turned around due to Sean Murray's tireless work. Hello Games, Murray and NMS are perfect examples of what the gaming industry can be. Most of the time games are launched incomplete and/broken then aren't fixed but instead abandoned and broken promises are left shattered and never acknowledged. NMS is a fantastic game that had a rough launch but Murray and Hello Games has turned it around and held themselves accountable for the mistakes they made. Since then it's been delivering in nearly every aspect.

I was confused by this months ago and still am. Are people calling LNF a scam? Or were they calling NMS a scam, so they’re skeptical of LNF?
I heard such vague accusations that there didn’t even seem to be enough “smoke” to look deeply for a fire. Though, I’ve only been “NMS-curious” since launch and have only dipped a toe in the initial tutorial.

    • @GingerPrimeGaming
      @GingerPrimeGaming  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

From what I’ve seen in comments and on live streams is that accusation and that they won’t even play LNF because of how NMS was at launch. But I think that’s just noice and they’ll come around as we learn more about the game

There are a lot of whiney little bitchy gamers out there that are just looking for a reason to complain, moan, and groan. They think their opinion matters to anyone (mine included as I am sure many don't give 2 craps about what I say). Hello Games flopped hard in the beginning with NMS, we all know this, it's no secret, it didn't deliver on early expectations...having said that, all these years later it is an AMAZINGLY good game and continues to deliver with more and more content. If you are still not playing it or haven't played it because you are butt hurt over broken expectations or promises from 6+ years ago, you need to take a long look in the mirror and reevaluate your life and your attitude because you are clearly living a miserable existence. Mistakes happened, they were corrected, now move on. This is a great video and recap and I agree fully that Sean is an overly excitable person without PR training that shouldn't have been the spokesperson; however they have WAY MORE than delivered on the NMS vision and have created a great game. Thanks for the content!

Great video. I remember the initial hype and the quick crash after launch. There are 2 games I never I thought I would play let alone LOVE and they NMS and Cyberpunk 2077. I didn't like NMS stylistic art and without any research I assumed Cyberpunk was a GTA clone. Both games have made an incredible turn around with both developers regularly surprising players with new features and patches. Without a doubt, I can easily say both games are a top 5 for me.
I'm really excited to see what Hello Games does with Light No Fire. They've learned a lot in their redemption arc for NMS.

    • @GingerPrimeGaming

No Man's Sky, the game had my imagination running wild years before it ever released. It was one of my most anticipated games. Then it came out and was a flop. I didn't even buy it. Just disappointed and felt deceived. Was excited about it for a couple years because of the pre game hype. Usually I don't anticipate much, but this game just sounded so amazing.
Just recently I played when they released Omega because they had a free to play weekend. After the free weekend I bought the game. Had so much fun adventuring around the different planets and space while following the expedition questline. Really great game now. Amazing story to see a game have such a big turn around. Glad he stuck to his plan and made it happen even though it was a failure at first.
Great video! You make good content

I appreciate your video. I'm a quiet gamer, don't go in for hyping anyone or anything. However, I would say this - I have played NMS from LAUNCH... 55 THOUSAND hours... and I've never, ever even reached the center! I just enjoy the HECK outta the game. Yes, there's times I get bored & walk away... but my kids, family know... I always go back to NMS. I enjoy the survival aspects, the exploration aspects... and the Expeditions are just FUN! So for me - it's a Thank you, Sean Murray, for the Vision... and the tenacity to continue improving your game. You've made it truly enjoyable!

Lol, people are so based sometimes. Hello Games has given out so many free updates and saved their game. Unlike big companies like EA that killed games like Anthem. Most people shouting about fraud do not even know it is a hub-based game. They think it is a MMO, and do not even understand how it plays. Simply invite your friend to your play session. Light No Fire should be interesting and may have the same network play.
