So time for some fun! Modern Horizon 3 and Assassin's Creed has all been a bit serious so how about some fun commanders with these sleeper builds.

I love Maarika, but I play her with arena and fight themed cards like its a UFC match. Waiting for Universes Within to be printed sucks though, still waiting for a UW Lara Croft -.-

Sounds great! Yeah there's a big delay with universes within versions. Might be due to contract and exclusivity with the IP... Who knows. 🤔

I love how Liesa lets you jam your commander and not really care if she gets removed. All you need is some lifegain

Which is really easy in white plus a few equipment 👌 no more command tax so to speak haha.

I used to play Maarika at one point and the deck was about fight mechanics, Last Laugh and similar effects, I played Blazing Sunsteel and Fiendlash in it as key pieces. Unfortunately, the deck didn't play as well as I hoped, so I switched it to Indoraptor I pulled from a pack.

Yeah she is mostly built as a fight style commander according to EDH rec I guess that gives her a more control style game plan..?
I just thought running equipment just allows for beat down on a very nice body that then also slows your opponents progress. Which helps the game plan even more. Maybe the sweet spot is in between?

Maarika is not fun to play or play against, I regret building her tbh

Hold your heathen tongue good syr (or madam); Maarika is great; she's like Zurgo, but with sac' replacing destroy effects.
