My company specialises in repairing and selling Cat S etc vehicles and is very open on declaring the category. I personally have owned and driven Cat cars for over 50 years. All my family have Cat cars. All my family have saved fortunes. Yes, there is a stigma but if the job is done properly (usually over at least six weeks before release) and comes with an honest warranty and open to ANY specialist check, as do ours, then it is a good vehicle. Cat vehicles are fine but beware who you buy them from. Simples..... Oh. And we will buy it back at a fair price when you are ready for a change. Our Vans are particularly popular but you may find there is a waiting list.
Lookup for car auctions, you can buy any cat s car well undervalued. Get it fixed and you’ll still have spent much less than buying from dealership or privately. Just take into consideration that the resale value should not be less than 70% of purchase + repairs.
Just had a bang on my Mini Cooper s convertible - absolute stunner. Insurance has written it off under N. Im keeping it as its sound other than the panel damage.plus have the insurance payout.

Great video mate. Helped alot. So just viewed a cat s car. All looks great. But told me that 1 set of keys stays with the insurance company!!! As it was previously written off. Is this right? Plus its not has an MOT yet. So considering an independent inspection.
Been offered a cut price vehicle in the spec and colour i prefer , only first registered from new in early jan 24 , which i have been told is now fully repaired, virtually no mileage.. Just Emailed seller to ask first enquiry question, is the manufacturers warranty still valid. Awaiting response. Can make a enquiry with the brands head office but would like to see if seller has this.knowledge. Must have been quite a bash to write off a virtual new vehicle
Bought a Fiesta last week from a local car dealer who I have bought a car off before. 21 reg was up for £10.500 but got it for £9.500 for giving him my 10 reg Peugeot 207 which wouldn’t start. No idea why but was looking for a newer car so didn’t want to be paying out to get it fixed. Well log book for fiesta came yesterday and says has been salvaged cos of structural damage but declared suitable for repair. I wasn’t told this before buying it but had it a week and love it. Just wondering if a problem could happen cos of it now? Never had a write off car before but my first ever car was wrote off through a little bump so I took the payout from insurance and kept the car and never had problems tho it was just a dint in the front on that.
Hi, my insurance company has written off my car for a very minor bump on the door saying it’s gonna cost us £5K and gave me £6K but the car value is £9K. They said we are coming tomorrow to pick it up. I said, you under valued my car and I’m not gonna hand over to you. Please advise. Thanks And another thing, should I inform DVLA immediately?

Thought by retail purchasing law you have to submit to buyer if its a writeoff and category , also informing your insurers about the cat
