I wonder if it could damage the tank lining

I wonder if you have to be a licensed plumber though.

When removing the water valve to attach the tool, how come the water heater tank doesn't drain when it's removed?

Because unless you vent the water heater it won't come out very fast. Like one of the water bottles that you put inside a cage for a guinea pig or a hamster it only lets out a little bit of water as air is able to go in through the hole.

@Supa Trending Daily what hear exchanger are you referring too? A gas water heater has a burner under the tank. Are you referring to the bottom of the tank as a heat exchanger? I used this product on my tank that would make popping noises while heating water. I recovered about 2 gallons of sediment in a bucket and it no longer pops and works normally now for 4 months. Please explain what you are referring to in your post.

Can you leave that tank cleaner in the tank all the time? Or do you have to take it off after using it.

I see the value of your product. But most DIY people that might want to try a business as you suggest are not experienced in marketing. Do you find it easy to convince people they need your service. If you do please share and also post your contact information in the "Show More" section of the text above. Good Luck I like what I see.
