I literally just completed putting this desk together and you've no idea how helpful your video was. The instructions in the box were horrible and you literally saved me. Thanks a million. Great voice too.
Totally agree, lockdown desks assemble! Thanks for your video, really useful to watch prior to assembly. Im going with my own custom mdf build but the leg instructions are very good.
Totally agree! I bought a different model but this video helped a lot. My crossbeam was either too long or my transmission rod too short. I had to remove the washer from the transmission rod in order to fit it and make it work.
Thank you for this video. It has a HUGE help in putting together my sister's desk. Flexispot's video was useless and they didn't bother to return our call asking for assistance.
kc70- WE LOVE YOU! This video literally saved our marriage! LOL! The printed instructions are so blah- but your detailed video walked us through step by step and we got both desks done with time to spare for Saturday errands! THANK YOU!
Thank you so much! This thing has been sitting in my corner for the last few days cause I thought it was going to be a task. Had some time on this beautiful Sunday and got done so fast I had some time to relax lol Couldn't have been possible without this video. Super simple and even when I hit a rough spot (attaching the height adjustment remote and the electronics), I was able to see how yours was aligned and trouble shoot it.
Extremely helpful, thanks! Manufacturer instructions were pretty much a waste. I watched this once, then spot checked a couple of points by going back to this video during the assembly process. Result was a great standing desk that my wife loves.
Thank you for this great video . I spent 3 frustrating hours working on this desk and the control box had me totally baffled. Wish I had looked for your video before I started it would have made life so much easier.
I just put my desk together with your directions and it turned out great 👍 Flexispot owes you some 💰 my friend. Thankyou so much. If I could hug you I would stay blessed.
Agreed! I mentioned your vid @kc70 in the review I just wrote on Flexispot. I will say, there were pre-drilled holes for my controller, yay. Thank you!
At 5:53 you remove the screws from the supporting beam. When do you put them back on? How much are we supposed to extend the beam? Can someone help me with this as I’m stuck on this step and don’t know how to go on further from here. Thanks a ton in advance to anyone who can answer this.
Thank you for the tutorial!! Showed everything you need to do. *Just like you I didn't use the adapter holder. I had no idea how to attach it so I just used a small velcro strap and cable tie.
I just assembled this desk tonight along with the monitor bracket and under desk drawer. What they fail to tell you is that the desk drawer will stick out from underneath the desk because there is not enough room for the bracket underneath the desk as the center bar under the table is blocking it. Other than that, it took me about three hours to build the desk and I am thankful that I had power tools to streamline the assembly. now that the desk is all together, I am relieved and very satisfied with the overall quality of this desk.
You are the mother effin truth! I didn’t even bother reading the instructions! Haha you got me from start to finish, I appreciate you. I left your link in my review on Amazon, hopefully you get more views!
Thank you so much for the video! The leg without the motor was defective so I had to wait another week to assemble everything and if it weren’t for your video, I would have definitely lost my mind. Your video should be sponsored!!
Thanks a lot! I bought a different model but this video helped a lot. My crossbeam was either too long or my transmission rod too short. I had to remove the washer from the transmission rod in order to fit it and make it work.
Great video! Very easy to follow. Made for an easy assembly! Flexispot now includes an adapter holder but we didn't note where it went until we had the table top secured. No big deal as they included the sticky cable ties too. They should make their directions as easy as your video! Thanks so much!
I just assembled mine. I almost tossed part # 11, the adapter holder. It looks like you missed yours. That small metal part holds the adapter in place and is attached to the main beam. You found a good solution to keep adapter in place though. Thanks for the vid! I would not have been able to make this work by simply looking at the paper manual.
It’s impossible to attach that part after the desk is assembled. There are no holes on the beam for it to screw to. I think I’ll just use the white ties also
I missed mine during the assembly and didn't notice it until I had the table top attached to the frame. I was able to undo the four beam screws (like at 5:54) and slide the middle part of the beam out of the way and slide the holder onto the beam that way, but I think it was maybe supposed to screw onto the beam. Oh well, it's on and it works for now. If needed I'll end up doing something similar to what everyone else seems to be doing. :) I didn't see him take an adapter holder out of the box in the beginning of the video, but maybe I missed it.
Great Video! Clear, calm and methodical. I would totally nominate you to make the emergancy audio announcements simply based on how calm and clear your instrcutions are!!! And I love my new desk!
@@kc70 Working from home has irnonically lead to more "desk time" and its taken a toll on my back. Now am able to move around more and even dance a little while writing mails and creating content.
Really helpful, many thanks for this nice clear video, helped me a lot. Apart from anything, it's nice to watch the whole thing before assembling, then watching section by section as you do that.
The instructions were whack so I'm super thankful for this video! Also yeah why don't they pre-drill the holes for the middle support?? So weird. Thanks for your work on this!!
thank you for the video. i think i set this up correctly. but what does the warning mean? " make sure rotating rod rotate less than 1/3 circle" im worried i didn't tighten up the rod enough.
Very helpful video! They now have an adapter holder that goes under the horizontal support structure. Misses that because once the support is fixed, the adapter cannot be attached!
Great Video Sir and Thank You. You Mentioned That the model number is the E1. I couldn't find that model number on Amazon. They only had the EN1. Is it similar or what do you think?
This is a good video for the assembly of this desk. When I assembled it, the baffle on the left side in this video is in contact with the nut on the rod. This makes a noise when I raise or lower the desk. This is because there is contact between the two. Did you have this issue as well?
I agree, seems a quality kit and yet the lack four holes means unqualified punters need to seek drills that they don't have and can't use even if they did. How many have drilled right though and then sought refunds?
IMPORTANT information and suggestion. My table did come with holes. However, it's too hard to get an exact measurement. I tightened the ends of the beam to the legs and I loosened the bolts in the middle and stretched it out. However, I didn't tighten them. The next step, I attached the transmission rod to the motor and slid the other side in after loosening the middle bolt. I did tighten the rod screw but I did not tighten the middle bolt. Then I placed the table upside down and then I put the legs upside down on the table. Because I didn't tighten the middle screws on the beam or the middle bolt on the rod, I was able to make adjustments as I needed to line them up with the holes in the table. I didn't have to worry about it scratching because it had rubber inserted at the end where the screws go for you to bolt the legs to the table. Also, it is worth mentioning that this table is fairly heavy. Most women will need some help. It's also worth mentioning has you to put the controller on the left side. However, you can also put it on the right as well if that works better for you. If you are putting it in another room, I suggest that's where you put the table so you don't have to worry about trying to go through doors with it. My table was 48' by 30'. I made that mistake and had a time getting it through the door in the next room. My wife has started to work from home and she loves it.
I assembled mine completely following the instructions from the booklet and then noticed that that it is uneven, with the slope from the left to right... the manual says that I might have tightened the transmission rod too much. Going to take it apart a bit and restart from that step. Any tips from others?
My transmission rod does not fit more more that about 0.6cm! I’m so frustrated. Have tried giving as much elbow grease as I can and nada. Any pointers?
Nice instructions! However, after assembly, I plugged the desk into a socket. It immediately rose to full height and now it's stuck there. Neither up nor down button works. Any ideas?
Thanks for the video, how did you connect the adaptor to the table top, is it screwed in or just stuck using adhesive tapes? also how do you select the drill type we need to drill holes where they are missing, please help
I just have the adhesive straps holding it there. Also the drill bit just needs to be smaller than the screw. You want to make sure sure the threads have space to attach to the wood.
I have the same desk and I am stumped about how wide the transmission rod and the crossbar are supposed to be. There are no instructions about these measurements. Both of these pieces are expandable To vary in length. I have a 47 inch desktop. I have called the company several times and only get a busy signal. And I have sent two messages via their website with no response. How did you know where to lock the crossbar and the transmission rod length wise into place?
I got a question on the crossbeam at around 7:00 . When do you know when to stop adjusting it to have the legs lined up with the prestige’s holes because if you adjust it all the way it comes completely off. Thanks in advance!
@kc70 or someone else who has put this desk together, I have a few questions. Is the desk featured here the smaller size or bigger size? Mine is the 60" one. In my directions, it says to drill holes. However, there are precut holes already drilled in, so why do I need to drill holes? When I expanded the crossbeam/frame, now the transmission rod came out. If I try to line it up with the holes, it's not wide enough.
I'm sure you've finished your assembly, but I had the same question so I'll answer. This is basically hinted at around 6:04 and more directly answered at 8:54. The initial width isn't so important because you'll adjust it later to fit the table top, for now you just have it and the transmission rod set at the same length. Note that there are stickers on the beam saying you've extended too far on one side or the other so be aware of those so you don't go too far one way or the other.
The perspective in this video threw me for a loop. I couldn't tell what side was left and what side was right with the beam attached. Wish there was some wide angle shots
