I am glad your pulling molds off the truck. My uncle built glass fenders for racing cars/motor bikes. I remember him always saying if you use more than a quart of body filler on a car, you were sloppy in your build. He was a machinist by trade and did this stuff as fun. I will always remember the fuel tank he built for a Aermacchi Harley Davidson 250 RR road race. He colored the resin a lite orange. But it was so thin it was easy to see the fuel level in the tank. .. Keep up the good work. But remember your son will have so much knowledge that you will be amazed by what he he will do. Teach him well.

Pro tip when spreading think about larger spreaders and the amount of force your using to get surface build, tight wiping is for finish glaze. You will be chasing highs and lows for double the time using your displayed method
my favorite superglue trick is to use baking soda as it cures the super glue almost instantly its sandable and acts like a filler if you need to take up a gap you can also buy a super glue accelerator spray
Maybe put a slit spoiler on instead of a defuser. It acts like a defuser and will match the style it being a Datsun and all. Just a idea 💡 It’s looking awesome can’t wait to see it finished 👍

One of those oscillating tools would make it a whole lot easier to cut things like that and not fling the dust in all directions. Plus you can run a wider blade to help steady the cut and keep it straight.
While she's really coming along I can't wait to see her finished. The guy was thinking sand and all them hazardous chemicals in body filler and such, perhaps y'all should invest in respirators. Absolutely love the channel God bless
Hey have you tried of a metod to do a widebody with thin steele rods and fabrick? It works really great. You wont need that much bondo and 1mil hours of sanding😅
Yeah chase deserves it for sure! You should take your channel to the next level though and ask your other friends and family what they want and build it for them maybe? But you also need to grow your investments. Maybe think about which vehicles you could build and sell and make tons of money to upgrade your channel with shop upgrades, home upgrades. Tools, lifts, find an engine company to sponsor all your vehicles and make them really fast. Possibly get a dyno. Learn something new.
Such an awesome build also same boat with anniversaries glad we have the women that are distracted with life that we all don’t get in trouble. Better late than never my wife and I are the same way and it’s ok. Not that they are not important but we know how life is
have you ever thoght of a muscle pickup but with a street legal V8? like the Chevy El Camino SS454 maybe with a Ram V10 or a Viper engine and a widebody obviously, they never made Viper pickups but they could look like killers!
Watched the end of the video in slow-mo to catch views of the engine. The intake comes over the top. At first I thought RB, but the intake is coming over the wrong side. Then I thought 5.0HO, but I don't think that would fit in the MG.

You used a flexible piece of aluminum hot glued and super glued it on. Then you bondod over that. Um, speechless.
Its not the final part. Its a mold to pull off parts later.
