Been saying it for months but considering how close your brake master cylinder is to the turbo I recommend you get a ✨brake booster delete kit✨ MPC sells one dude
love seeing a robbie video, just a heads up when working with heatwrap, spraying with water tends to help it stick to itself and defo helps in tighter areas. Glad you are taking protective measures too but it would be good to invest into a full face shield as the cutting discs can shatter and no one wants part of a disc flying at their face.
Aluminum is a very good CONDUCTOR of heat. I'm not saying your heat shield won't work, but you should definitely try to check the temps near the reservoir after running the car hard sometime.
The two ways a heat shield works is by : 1 - Absorbing the heat 2 - Reflecting the heat, which is why he added the gold tape. Aluminium is a proper material for heat shields, if you've ever seen those exhaust heat shields that are waffle/embossed looking, those are often made of multiple layers of aluminium, and they are embossed because that reflects heat better. The more you know 🌈🌟
Awesome work! Everything turned out amazing. Us Mitsubishi boys call it boost by gear. Lower boost to start out so you don't just sit there and spin your tires, then higher boost as you progress through the gears
Loving the K swap video and just wanted to mention heat-wrapping manifolds usually lead to the welds cracking. It's more prone to happen on the cheaper manifolds.
Make things simple one ground is for the constant power source and the other ground is for the switched power source and in your cause was the ignition. Love the videos always like to see people that aren’t afraid of doing things out of there comfort zone and not being afraid to experiment.
You should consider getting your turbine housing and exhaust manifold ceramic coated as well. I had one done once and it helped keep the heat in just like heat wrap and it doesn’t burn off like paint so no more rusty exhaust stuff making your clean engine bay last forever 👍. The product I used was called a titanium coat that was good for like 1000 degrees of constant heat and ok for spikes in heat over that too. The company I used was out of Calgary AB called top gun coatings but I’m sure Ontario has places like that too
An adjustable GFB blow-off valve will allow you to close it for your flutter or open it for your pshhh noises. I have it and I play with it even now and then. Best of both worlds
Pro Tip when working with heatwrap to not get glass fibers all over your hands: Submerge the roll in water before using it. That way the fibers all neatly stick to the wrap and dont fly off/get stuck on your hands!
hey robbie! i just wanna let ya know that you shouldnt lay your angle grinder on the wheel side, you should always lay it on the other side, thats why theres a little bump/ridge there! just wanna let ya know! have a great day!
@@jn7154 well I thought it meant before it is finished or something like that but my English is not really good since I’m from the Netherlands sorry if I’m wrong 😬
the fuel pump voltage is ok if your doing a kswap its when you add boost = more air and it takes more fuel thats the issue meaning your pump has to work harder ( sorry but you should ALWAYS upgrade the pump ) current and amperage is gonna be higher than your stock wiring can take hence why you use your original 12v to the pump to fire a high gauge setup with a relay to power the upgrade never stick with a stock pump your injectors rely on a base fuel pressure usually more than a stock pump can make ( even with a regulator ) can deliver unless you put a low base pressure in your tune even then the fuel wont atomise properly
Yo Robbie, Consider doing a video where you explain in depth step by step what your doing vs telling the viewers what your about to do then throwing them on a tripod to watch a time lapse no one can gather any info from.
Sorry I’m really bad with names but I have to say. Watching this video. Your really bad at not letting you friend Chris finish what he’s already saying. I know your the main man but come on. Be a proper friend and let the man talk
your worried about your boost because you teed of xyz ???????? dude your base fuel pressure should be the thing your worried about boost is easy controllable but base fuel pressure that has to be set for your injector dead times to give the right amount of fuel is not a 5 min fix i would rather diagnose and tune a car that pops bangs and is rich as fuck than a car thats lean bogging detonating and is outta pump and has to pay for another dyno session
hey man im wondering if you have the drag cartels crank gear if not i highly recommend getting it i never did and ended up fucking up my engine and thats only running 14psi
BBG: Boost By Gear! Electronic boost controller controlled by the ecu to increase boost by the gear. (my car is 1st - 14lb. 2nd- 17lb 3rd-5th is 26lb)

After having seen so many of the cars, and meeting you two in person, these videos just hit different now. Definitely need a red blowoff valve tho
Would love to see a cost breakdown video of this build! EVERYTHING INCLUDED
ima need a black on black jet tag my guy
Using safety wire is really good for holding the heat wrap down, looks way cleaner then those clamps and less chance of failure with the safety wire
Also the turbo to manifold gasket WILL blow mate. Only use stainless mls gaskets until your further down the exhaust system

TURBO BLANKET !!! STUFF GON GET HOT
Correct me if I'm wrong I'm sure the bov is best closest to the throttle body
Robbie mate, wire your exhaust to a rocker switch on your dash or center console and get rid of that control box they come with

lil tip i discovered recently: get a set of smaller files, they take just a tad bit longer but they clean up the edges super well :)
I second using a booster delete! I have one and it’s hardly noticeable on older civic!
when he muted himself saying starting wheel cover 😂
Black heat wrap Wouldve been less noticeable but such a beautiful engine bay
Just got my first build car so exited to start working on my Miata

Sessh looking better and better 8)
If you soak the heat wrap in water you can get it tighter and then when it gets hot it gets even tighter.
theres a sealer you can put on that heat wrap so it doesnt smoke like hell when it gets wet from driving in the rain
yesss i love to see a robbie notif!!!!
You should get a pair of thicboi turbo shears for all the sheet metal cutting you do
Your awesome Robbie keep up the amazing work
When you doing the hot wheels wall?
ahh its a good day when robbie uploads
And in addition you are the best TH-camr ❤️❤️❤️all love bro
Does your merch ship to the UK??
Easy way to get fiberglass on you is a lint roller :)
or a sticker, tape, anything sticky
I feel like that blowoff valve was from when the civic was in the wish stage
