Boosted K20 Civic Finally Hits the Dyno!! (Here's what happened)

  • This is something that even Nick said he has never seen LOL. We took the K20 Civic to the dyno a few weeks ago, and instead of driving it home... we towed it home, because... well, we don't really know.

I had a very similar issue with my k24 turbo eg hatch. I was pulling my hair out trying to find the issue. Long story short, it ended up being the MAP sensor shorted out internally causing the ecu to not power up. Just an idea, swap the map sensor for a stock one if you have one laying around.

as dumb as it sounds, has the last guy that owned katie put an aftermarket anti-theft? both my integras had one and they both failed after a while... was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why it wouldn't start then fumbled upon them

Sounds like a bad ground somewhere, happened on a 2004 accord I have, key would turn on and light everything up but the starter and ecu wouldn't get power because of the bad ground

I probably am completely wrong. But when I'm working on construction. We cross a line to make sure everything stays off. Depending on when we and what we are working on. Sounds like you have a crossed ground and power. Maybe where the ecu plugs in.

Change out your map sensor , old Toyota had a shorted out map sensor and was causing the fuel pump not to prime as-well as cutting power to the injectors. You can also try unplugging the map and seeing if it runs ! Good luck😁

Dude, try pulling the backside of your ignition barrel off (2 screws) and try cranking it that way with a screw driver while holding pressure every which way while turning it. There’s a thin fragile piece of metal inside that turns with the key to get power where it needs to go that wears out over time I have had a few go bad on me over the years in my Honda’s, acc would work but I wouldn’t get any power to the starter

  • @jacobcotriss6264
