In the midst of the 1970's emerged the bands now legendary as Glam Rockers. SWEET, not satisfied with being one of the pack, slapped on the paint and went out of their way to become more outrageous.
SWEET had 15 Top 40 hits in the UK alone and went on to sell well over 20 million units worldwide. They achieved 3 Top 40 singles in 1971 with Funny, Funny, Co-Co and Alexander Graham Bell followed by 3 more hits in 1972 with Poppa Joe, Little Willy and Wig Wam Bam and finally the coveted #1 slot in January 1973 with Blockbuster!

One of the very best rock songs ever. And one of the very best pieces of all types of music ever - including classical. The writers of Ballroom Blitz - both the instrumental music and lyrics - were geniuses. And the technical performances of each player and singer, and the studio recording professionals. Of all rock songs written since Bill Haley and The Comets in 1956, I would say this is the BEST.
One of the best songs ever in rock`n roll!!. Underrated band definitely. Choruses are amazing, comparisons are out of place, yet people usually are impressed about Queen`s choruses but Sweet choruses are just...unique.
All four members hand incredible voices with Brian having the golden voice. Whoever those evil guys were that beat him up and wrecked his nerves I hope they paid in the afterlife. He was never the same after that and it’s a damn shame!

The opening shot of Mick-fantastic! That smile still makes me melt. 😍🥰 Great song. There have been a few remakes but no one drums like Mick or sings like Brian (or answers back like Steve). Sweet forever! 💜🔥🎸🥁🎤

This song was made great by 4 musicians Steve, Andy, Mick and Brian. No other group could have pulled this song off. They may not have written it but they made Ballroom Blitz a great and legendary song. They deserve the same amount of credit that the writers received. The Sweet is great and far ahead of their time. I've only said that about one other band and that's Led Zeppelin. The Sweet is legendary.

When I first heard this I knew they weren’t a fluke. I fell in love with Little Willy the year before. They were running on all 8 cylinders here! Just a fun incredible band that I have loved for 50 years!

The problem with Sweet was the live performances. Some songs were to tricky to show it right with four instruments. Maybe they should hire one or two extra musician to show better live performances. But I loved my Sweet.
Who are the two main guys interviewed here? Apologies if I'm supposed to recognize them.
