Light weight yarn of your choice (I used a 2 weight 100% acrylic)
Crochet hook to suit your yarn (I used 3.5mm)
Darning needle
Scissors
Measuring tape
Stitch markers (optional)
Stitches/techniques: (2:15)
Slip knot onto hook
Making a chain
Slip stitch (sl. st.)
Single crochet (SC)
Single crochet decrease
Double crochet (DC)
Front post double crochet (FPDC)
Weaving in ends
Sizing a garment
Tutorial starts at 4:30
Fully customisable in size. For initial sizing information go to 2:45 and there is also sizing information throughout the video.
Measurements needed:
Belly circumference (where you want the bottom of the tank top to fall)
Chest width
Length from front legs to neck along back
Neck circumference

How do you put it in the cat? I love your videos but i try to only made them things with buttons, or that are easily removable

Hi! The number you chain for your starting chain will depend on the circumference of your cat's belly, where you want to top to fall. It also depends on the hook size and yarn weight you're using. It should also be an even number. I hope that helps! 😊
u say it only in cm but can u pls provide how many is these chains do u have in basic first line? Thank you for answer, appreciate it.
Hi Nicole! Yes, I purposely speak to cm because each cat is different, it depends where you want it to fall and fit on your cat and also the yarn and hook size might be different to mine. I don't remember off the top of my head the number of chains I made here but I can check later and get back to you if that works? If it helps in the meantime, Melba's measurement where I fitted this is 36cm and I used a 2 weight yarn with a 3.5mm hook. Anyway, leave it with me! ☺️
@@CatventurousCrochet thank u very much for fast answer, if u can count chains, it helps sure. I also have 3,5 hook, plus cant say thickness if my yarn, I bought on wish and it has no any label, but I would say, it would be similar to yours. Only just acryl.

Hi Karla! It depends of course on the size you're making but I used (as definitely just a guess!) around 100-120m. 🤗

I started with 60 chains and my first round had sixty, but when I counted my second round it had 61. Is there a reason this happened? I marked my last stitch and I've redone it a few time but I still end up with 61
Hi! I'm not sure without seeing your work but perhaps you're inadvertently adding an extra stitch at the beginning of the round? I hope it works out. Good luck! 😽
Hi again, I almost made it, but have used for first time totally different yarn, not so soft or nice, but can you pls tell me exact name of your yarn, you are using in this video?
I found this yarn in France at a textiles store named Zeeman. Unfortunately, they no longer make this exact yarn but it was called Kelly and is 100% acrylic. I hope that helps! 🤗
I don't understand how to can increase?
Hi! You can increase at round three by placing increases at each side. You have the option to include additional increases if you need to. ☺
is it sturdy enough to become a harness?
Hi and thanks for your question. No, I wouldn't recommend this one as a harness. You could check out our Semla H-style Harness pattern to see if that suits your requirements. I also plan to eventually film a jacket harness but I just haven't got to it yet. Stay tuned! 🥰
