I always thought of growing old with my dog when I first had one. He died because of old age. He was 16 years old when he died. He was with me since I was in 1st grade up until after college. He was the best dog in the entire world. He's my best bud.
Other than losing my parents, nothing has been more painful than the loss of the dogs that have blessed my life. My 14.5-year-old mixed breed is slipping fast and I feel so helpless.
I just lost both my dogs, both were 15 yrs. old and raised together as pups. They died 10 days apart and I could tell the last one had a broken heart and so missed her buddy. Watching her in anguish was heartbreaking and I'm going to have to deal with that for a long time, but I just hope '' time heals all wounds ''.
I just watched this video and I want to tell everyone out there that is going through grief right now over the loss of their pet. I have had Pomeranians in my life for over 20 years, this past year I had to put down my last two. That was very very hard for me. I put down my snuggles last August it’s not even a year yet, so my Spohiea got very close to me. I was just as close to her she was the last one out of nine. All my time was just with her, in June I had to put her down out of nowhere she had water in her lungs. Thanks for trying several things but it seems nothing was helping so I had to make that decision. I was so broken I am still broken so I just wanted to share because anyone going through this my heart goes out to all of you. They are our kids with fur. I don’t think you ever get over it you just learn how to live with it.. ❤️ my heart goes out to all of you....
Thank you! I just had to put down my little buddy 2 days after his 13 birthday. He was diagnosed with CHD 10 months ago. I now know, he was in a lot of pain and I was second guessing my self up until I saw this video I know now, I did do the right thing BUT it's still so very hard for me.
I am so sorry and I know. I have been thru the loss of a dog several times. It never gets easier. My little dog dachshund is going thru some health issues. She is thirteen. She is my shadow following me wherever I go.

It's early Augest 2021. My faithful friend has been ill for quite some time according to the vet. I knew she was getting thinner, so I improved her diet with homemade and got some of that high nutrient high calorie for dogs. She fully stopped eating 4 days ago. She has gone 36 hours without water. It hurts her when I pick her up. I called the vet on the after hours line and discussed it with her. She said that based on what I said my little girl either has failing organs or cancer. She said she wouldn't know without a blood test. My baby is 14/15 years old. It's probably her time to go. I just keep telling her how much I love her and what a loyal and great dog she has been. I keep telling her to go to Jesus and I'll see her in a little while. This is really hard and I love my little Angel so much. Bless her to heaven if you would. She's a very sweet creature. Thank you for listening. I find myself holding my breath. God bless all of you.

My dog seems like he was young just yesterday. I remember playing with him as a kid and teaching him tricks even though he only ever learned to sit and come, but it's hard seeing him not able to do any of that anymore. I don't think he has long left and I know there is nothing I can do but try to make sure his needs are met at this point
I'm glad I watched this, my dog is showing all of these signs, and now we know we are making the right decision to end her suffering. I'm so sad, we take her tomorrow. But I'm glad I know these are the signs and she is not going to get better.

my dog that's been with us for 11 yrs is dying. im alone with him right now and i can't watch him struggling with breathing. he's a pomeranian chihuahua and he's been my best friend since i was in 3rd grade (im in 2nd yr college rn) . i dont wanna lose him but i also dont want him to suffer longer. it's just hard to think that im used to seeing him everyday in my life but i'll no longer see him when that day comes. his death is my ultimate fear but it's inevitable and it's about letting go which is the most selfless and loving thing to do. :(( i dont know when will i heal, everything will surely change. he's my first heartbreak.
update: he died today, the same day i made a comment on this video. he gave up just 3 hours ago when i was asleep. he went outside to get some sun while my brother was working out then he went outside to check on our dog and noticed he wasnt moving nor making a sound. so he woke me up and told me that gerbo's already gone.

Our lovely cockapoo died 2 days ago..the love he showed us was many times more than humans..chronic pancreatitis,heart murmur,arthritis and multiple operations when he was a young pup to right floating patella’s,you would think he would just give in but he had a strong heart then…to say he will be missed is an understatement..he was a very loved dog and we will miss him…Vinny will never be forgotten,his lovely soul will always be welcome in our house….
For me . The role is seemingly reversed . I am the one dying . All of my beloved have gone before me . The night Raggetty Ann died . I sung to her and paid with her . I picked her up in my arms and cried in her fur . It was then I smelled a bouquet of roses in January and looked up crying . Thank You . Took her inside and laid down beside her . Telling her how much I loved her . She nuzzled my arm happy and wagged her tail .. Then took a deep breath . Years later I got a puppy in 2018 . Held her in my arms and knew . She is for me . I never noticed till I got home that she had a white heart on her nose . A black cocker spaniel . In 2020 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma that spread to my brain . Before we knew ,she would climb on my head and drape me in her fur . She knew and was telling me . I asked my oncologist about dogs knowing and he said . There seems to be a research that dogs can sense cancer . She has been my strength . I will be going soon be tell her I will never leave you. Always with me !! My greatest sadness .. I don't know where she will spend the rest of her life without me here
By The Grace of God , I am still here , Never does a day to by that I don't look upon my pups grave . Raggedy Ann was the first to pass away .She used to go to the apple tree ,look back at me and say her tail . Wanting me to pick one so she could eat it under the tree . Sometimes she's reach up and bite one till it came loose .lay there wagging her tail . When she passed . I laid her to rest under that apple tree . Her brother Andy joined her a month later . In 2006 my parents cocker passed away in that November . Back then I wanted to get mom a cocker puppy for Christmas .We picked this beautiful puppy out but had to wait till she was 6 weeks old . Two weeks before Christmas my mother was told she was terminally ill from cancer and had only 6 months . We already had bought this Angel . When we brought over this little happy pup . My mom cheered up and told me . I can't take her . I am dying and would you take her for yourself .. Yes ... I asked my mother .. Would you name her and she named her Lady . . My mother passed away on the most beautiful day in May ... Lady now rest with her brother and sister , There is something about pups and dogs . I believe they are as close to Angels . I believe they were made by God to love us and lift us up . Remind us .. We are Loved

So sorry you are going through this. When my sweet Rottweiler passed away, she too stopped eating but wanted me to pet her. I pet her a lot, and every time I stopped she looked at me to continue. Then I got a phone call from my mom, so my hubby took over petting her and 10 minutes later she passed away. I think she waited for me to leave to not upset me. She was my heart dog. It's so tough losing them. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time.

February and March, Signs started coming on more and more, and while I didnt want to think about it, but Ive been sensing its coming for a while. And while I had been preparing myself emotionally for this as she's gotten older, NOTHING still prepared me for the impact of her death, and after. My dog has been with me since I was 2 I'm 11 now I have noticed his breathing is much faster and he always is sleeping and he lays on his bed and eats his food only a little though so we give him wet food normally with a egg and medicine in it but it doesn't seem to help he is 15 I know he will go very soon and I want to be ready I'm still very upset at the fact that I will never see him again but when I do I will give him a great big hug in heaven so yea I'll miss him 💔🐕

Thank you for the kind words. Having gone through this personally several times and having attended several animal hospice courses has helped gain a deep understanding of the subject. We have to agree that it's true that not all dogs lose their appetite when they are dying. We personally experienced this too. While our older female dog with cancer stopped eating a couple of days prior to dying, our other dog died after eating a meal, so he left the world on a full tummy. We also need to factor in, that in dogs, as in people, the phenomenon of a last surge of energy may take place too. Dogs who weren't eating much or who weren't moving around much, may eat or start walking in their final hours, when they weren't able to do these things before. Not to mention, very sick dogs like dogs with terminal cancer are often on the drug prednisone and this is known for causing a voracious appetite so these dogs may die from their cancers, but still with a good appetite. Dying is therefore ultimately a personal experience, and not all dogs go through the same changes. This makes the dying experience for us difficult to gauge at times, as we might not know what to expect, but we are there for them and that's all that matters. xoxo

My baby is 18 and has had him since a puppy and he has some of these symptoms. I am crying everyday to watch him going through this. I don’t have a way to get him to a vet to possibly end this for him. But part of me wants him home with me. He won’t eat and he will drink. He is vomiting and it’s difficult for him to move. He has to wear pampers. He looks at me like he doesn’t want to leave me especially when I cry. I hurt because I can’t do anything for him. 😥 💔
So sorry to hear about your baby being sick. It's very sad when they grow old and frail. If he is suffering, there are vets who can come to your home. Lap of Love is a company that offers this. Both our dogs got old and died naturally (as we lived far out in the boonies) while being pet and talked to. Our vet provided us with all the meds to make them comfortable. Cerenia (an antivomiting prescription medication) helped reduce nausea.

The thing is When dogs enter their final journey the angels guard and take and guide their Souls only for the soul to rest in rainbow Bridge and start another Journey as either another breed of animal when the time is right we as humans have a feeling that they the new pup looks even has traits of our beloved friend . I believe our babies try and get back to us . Love and the bond is everlasting and eternal. The spirit of the former pet is free but the Soul lives on and yes, we do see our fur babies . My own dog has benign liver Cancer and I have told her that she will have a pain free live making friends with all other animals on Rainbow Bridge.

Yesterday my dog died It was a German shepherd and I still miss the dog that died in 2000 he was only 5 years old :( my German shepherd had these big pimples from which worms came out and there were a lot of them after he died my dad and my grandfather buried him in the garden with the help of my Father's brothers poor guy was getting old and he didn't ever wake up again he was ok till 11:30 but by 12:30 everybody noticed that he was not moving at all and flys were coming up on him then when my mom gave him food he still did not move and eat the food later till 1:30 he was pronounced dead heartbreaking this is the 6th dog that died in our house 2 3 escaped my dad got his first dog in 1990 he escaped then we got 2 more they also escaped the rest died one we had one of the dwarf German shepherd he died mysteriously he was completely fine this is a haunted street because there's 3 haunted houses behind our street and the poor dwarf German shepherd

My dog died today, she was 11 years ol i grew up with her and i saw her resting more not being as active as before. and today around 4pm she started crying and vomiting, i made sure she wasn't poisoned but then she died. Tomorrow morning we're burring it in the back yard. At least I'm happy that she died of old age And not a bad sickness
My rottweiler is 13 yo, I saw some signs....he still eating chicken breast, broth and rice. Drink, not as much as before, drooling. Has difficulty controlling his rear legs. Normally he poops twice a day but now, even though still eating twice a day.. he didn't poops..sometimes 5 days. Is it a sign too?
13 is a wonderful age for a Rottweiler, you have certainly done a lot of right things for having him live that long. I am sorry you are going through this. It is hard to say if decreased pooping is a sign because there can be other factors. For instance, if he's eating less, there's less poop to produce, or he may be holding it because he can't go to door. Sometimes, the dog is pooping only that you do not see where he goes or the dog eats the poop. Rice can make a dog more constipated as it's given to dogs with diarrhea, although it shouldn't last that long. If your dog recently had diarrhea, it can take some time for new poop to form. Sometimes there can be a mechanical causing a blockage and making it difficult to poop (like enlarged prostate gland, cancerous growth). His back leg issues if related to a spinal problem, also effects the nerves to his rectum, so that could contribute to constipation (although more commonly causes them to be incontinent). Drinking less can be due to the fact that you are feeding rice with broth which is moist compared to kibble. I would suggest consulting with your vet and determining what may be the problem. The vet can prescribe something to help him poop. Maybe, if he goes, he may also feel better because being unable to defecate can make them nauseous. Or, the nausea could be part of whatever primary problem is making him feel ill in the first place.If taking him to the vet is difficult, there are mobile vets or vets who do house calls. Keeping you in my thoughts at this difficult time.

This video is authentic and, sadly, accurate. I would like to contribute, however, the miraculous outcome my 12 yr. old. 118 lb GSD has enjoyed with respect to Hip Dysplasia. My Cooper gets 1500 mg. of Boswellia (separated into 3 doses throughout the day) together with an approximately/closely same mg. of Curcumin.( just pay attention to the mg values) He HAS hip dyplasia but can RUN!!!! There is NO GOOD REASON why dogs need to die SO SOON. Please look into potential "supports, supplements, healthy inclusions" . My heart breaks over the loss of ANY, ALL and EVERY dog who who has lived on the face of this globe.

This video has helped me. I didnt know what my dog died of. He was a 20 year old Jack Russell terrier. 3 days before he died in early morning abt 3am he was panting en had either a cough or he wanted to get flem off his chest..he had wet clear nose..i noticed he drank more.. he was eating well though. At 9am he was fine. No panting en chasing a ball. Then .2 days later abt same time 3am ish his panting returned. His gums seemed ok. After he died his mouth had fluid like bubbles. After seeing this video my conclusion is i think it was his time to die. Because i did read a dogs breathing pattern can change week,, days before he dies as his body is shutting down.
Mine is 10 , he is lying at one place since last 2 days , not eating anything , drinking less water , he couldn't even stand up , soiling and urinating lying there only . If i try to carry him away he barks and tries to bite . The fact that i can't do anything is more saddening .
If you think your dog is dying, please see your vet. There are many conditions that may be managed or treated or medications that can provide relief if your dog is uncomfortable or in pain.

My male dog is 13 and we have been partners in life since he was a pup; dogs are partners and not property to me. His bad days outnumber his good. He has dementia and other problems giving him pain in moving and so on. I will be holding him at the end. I have opted for cremation and return of his ashes. The vet staff were great yesterday to explain everything and will allow me to pre-pay so I can leave when done. On his bad days the other dog and cat treat him differently as if they sense or know. I did not know dogs can get dementia until I observed him a few months ago and thought that he acts like a hooman with dementia and a search confirms it; he has all the symptoms. Even at my age of 76 I believe in the Rainbow Bridge: Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge....

Breathing changes can be seen during a dog's dying process, but it can also be a sign of pain or underlying respiratory condition. So sorry your dog is going through this. Please keep in touch with you vet.

I’m watching this while I’m holding my dogs paw as he’s slipping away. 13 good years from my miniature pincher. He was the best dog I could ever ask for. He was doing ok until last night. He since then has gone down hill. He has diabetes and been handling well the past 2 years. We took him to the emergency vet this morning but they wanted to much money to keep him so we just took him home. We knew it was coming he’s been with us all day today on Easter. I’m staying up all night with him. I don’t think he will make it to his vet in the morning. It’s very rough.

So true, my neighbor once gave me the perfect description for how it feels to lose a dog. She told me it feels like somebody grabs your heart, tosses it to the ground and then shatters it into a million pieces. So sorry for your loss.
I always thought of growing old with my dog when I first had one. He died because of old age. He was 16 years old when he died. He was with me since I was in 1st grade up until after college. He was the best dog in the entire world. He's my best bud.

I just watched this video and I want to tell everyone out there that is going through grief right now over the loss of their pet. I have had Pomeranians in my life for over 20 years, this past year I had to put down my last two. That was very very hard for me. I put down my snuggles last August it’s not even a year yet, so my Spohiea got very close to me. I was just as close to her she was the last one out of nine. All my time was just with her, in June I had to put her down out of nowhere she had water in her lungs. Thanks for trying several things but it seems nothing was helping so I had to make that decision. I was so broken I am still broken so I just wanted to share because anyone going through this my heart goes out to all of you. They are our kids with fur. I don’t think you ever get over it you just learn how to live with it.. ❤️ my heart goes out to all of you....
Thank you! I just had to put down my little buddy 2 days after his 13 birthday. He was diagnosed with CHD 10 months ago. I now know, he was in a lot of pain and I was second guessing my self up until I saw this video I know now, I did do the right thing BUT it's still so very hard for me.

It's early Augest 2021. My faithful friend has been ill for quite some time according to the vet. I knew she was getting thinner, so I improved her diet with homemade and got some of that high nutrient high calorie for dogs.
She fully stopped eating 4 days ago. She has gone 36 hours without water. It hurts her when I pick her up.
I called the vet on the after hours line and discussed it with her. She said that based on what I said my little girl either has failing organs or cancer. She said she wouldn't know without a blood test.
My baby is 14/15 years old. It's probably her time to go. I just keep telling her how much I love her and what a loyal and great dog she has been. I keep telling her to go to Jesus and I'll see her in a little while.
This is really hard and I love my little Angel so much. Bless her to heaven if you would. She's a very sweet creature.

My dog seems like he was young just yesterday. I remember playing with him as a kid and teaching him tricks even though he only ever learned to sit and come, but it's hard seeing him not able to do any of that anymore. I don't think he has long left and I know there is nothing I can do but try to make sure his needs are met at this point

Our lovely cockapoo died 2 days ago..the love he showed us was many times more than humans..chronic pancreatitis,heart murmur,arthritis and multiple operations when he was a young pup to right floating patella’s,you would think he would just give in but he had a strong heart then…to say he will be missed is an understatement..he was a very loved dog and we will miss him…Vinny will never be forgotten,his lovely soul will always be welcome in our house….

For me . The role is seemingly reversed . I am the one dying . All of my beloved have gone before me . The night Raggetty Ann died . I sung to her and paid with her . I picked her up in my arms and cried in her fur . It was then I smelled a bouquet of roses in January and looked up crying . Thank You . Took her inside and laid down beside her . Telling her how much I loved her . She nuzzled my arm happy and wagged her tail .. Then took a deep breath . Years later I got a puppy in 2018 . Held her in my arms and knew . She is for me . I never noticed till I got home that she had a white heart on her nose . A black cocker spaniel . In 2020 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma that spread to my brain . Before we knew ,she would climb on my head and drape me in her fur . She knew and was telling me . I asked my oncologist about dogs knowing and he said . There seems to be a research that dogs can sense cancer . She has been my strength . I will be going soon be tell her I will never leave you. Always with me !! My greatest sadness .. I don't know where she will spend the rest of her life without me here

Raggedy Ann was the first to pass away .She used to go to the apple tree ,look back at me and say her tail . Wanting me to pick one so she could eat it under the tree . Sometimes she's reach up and bite one till it came loose .lay there wagging her tail . When she passed . I laid her to rest under that apple tree . Her brother Andy joined her a month later . In 2006 my parents cocker passed away in that November . Back then I wanted to get mom a cocker puppy for Christmas .We picked this beautiful puppy out but had to wait till she was 6 weeks old . Two weeks before Christmas my mother was told she was terminally ill from cancer and had only 6 months . We already had bought this Angel . When we brought over this little happy pup . My mom cheered up and told me . I can't take her . I am dying and would you take her for yourself .. Yes ... I asked my mother .. Would you name her and she named her Lady . . My mother passed away on the most beautiful day in May ... Lady now rest with her brother and sister , There is something about pups and dogs . I believe they are as close to Angels . I believe they were made by God to love us and lift us up . Remind us .. We are Loved

So sorry you are going through this. When my sweet Rottweiler passed away, she too stopped eating but wanted me to pet her. I pet her a lot, and every time I stopped she looked at me to continue. Then I got a phone call from my mom, so my hubby took over petting her and 10 minutes later she passed away. I think she waited for me to leave to not upset me. She was my heart dog. It's so tough losing them. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time.

Thank you for the kind words. Having gone through this personally several times and having attended several animal hospice courses has helped gain a deep understanding of the subject. We have to agree that it's true that not all dogs lose their appetite when they are dying. We personally experienced this too. While our older female dog with cancer stopped eating a couple of days prior to dying, our other dog died after eating a meal, so he left the world on a full tummy. We also need to factor in, that in dogs, as in people, the phenomenon of a last surge of energy may take place too. Dogs who weren't eating much or who weren't moving around much, may eat or start walking in their final hours, when they weren't able to do these things before. Not to mention, very sick dogs like dogs with terminal cancer are often on the drug prednisone and this is known for causing a voracious appetite so these dogs may die from their cancers, but still with a good appetite. Dying is therefore ultimately a personal experience, and not all dogs go through the same changes. This makes the dying experience for us difficult to gauge at times, as we might not know what to expect, but we are there for them and that's all that matters. xoxo

My baby is 18 and has had him since a puppy and he has some of these symptoms. I am crying everyday to watch him going through this. I don’t have a way to get him to a vet to possibly end this for him. But part of me wants him home with me. He won’t eat and he will drink. He is vomiting and it’s difficult for him to move. He has to wear pampers. He looks at me like he doesn’t want to leave me especially when I cry. I hurt because I can’t do anything for him. 😥 💔
So sorry to hear about your baby being sick. It's very sad when they grow old and frail. If he is suffering, there are vets who can come to your home. Lap of Love is a company that offers this. Both our dogs got old and died naturally (as we lived far out in the boonies) while being pet and talked to. Our vet provided us with all the meds to make them comfortable. Cerenia (an antivomiting prescription medication) helped reduce nausea.

The thing is When dogs enter their final journey the angels guard and take and guide their Souls only for the soul to rest in rainbow Bridge and start another Journey as either another breed of animal when the time is right we as humans have a feeling that they the new pup looks even has traits of our beloved friend . I believe our babies try and get back to us . Love and the bond is everlasting and eternal. The spirit of the former pet is free but the Soul lives on and yes, we do see our fur babies . My own dog has benign liver Cancer and I have told her that she will have a pain free live making friends with all other animals on Rainbow Bridge.

Yesterday my dog died It was a German shepherd and I still miss the dog that died in 2000 he was only 5 years old :( my German shepherd had these big pimples from which worms came out and there were a lot of them after he died my dad and my grandfather buried him in the garden with the help of my Father's brothers poor guy was getting old and he didn't ever wake up again he was ok till 11:30 but by 12:30 everybody noticed that he was not moving at all and flys were coming up on him then when my mom gave him food he still did not move and eat the food later till 1:30 he was pronounced dead heartbreaking this is the 6th dog that died in our house 2 3 escaped my dad got his first dog in 1990 he escaped then we got 2 more they also escaped the rest died one we had one of the dwarf German shepherd he died mysteriously he was completely fine this is a haunted street because there's 3 haunted houses behind our street and the poor dwarf German shepherd
Should has come a cross this video two months early, so at least I can give all my love to my beloved lucky of eleven and a half years in his dying days.

My rottweiler is 13 yo, I saw some signs....he still eating chicken breast, broth and rice. Drink, not as much as before, drooling. Has difficulty controlling his rear legs. Normally he poops twice a day but now, even though still eating twice a day.. he didn't poops..sometimes 5 days. Is it a sign too?
13 is a wonderful age for a Rottweiler, you have certainly done a lot of right things for having him live that long. I am sorry you are going through this. It is hard to say if decreased pooping is a sign because there can be other factors. For instance, if he's eating less, there's less poop to produce, or he may be holding it because he can't go to door. Sometimes, the dog is pooping only that you do not see where he goes or the dog eats the poop. Rice can make a dog more constipated as it's given to dogs with diarrhea, although it shouldn't last that long. If your dog recently had diarrhea, it can take some time for new poop to form. Sometimes there can be a mechanical causing a blockage and making it difficult to poop (like enlarged prostate gland, cancerous growth). His back leg issues if related to a spinal problem, also effects the nerves to his rectum, so that could contribute to constipation (although more commonly causes them to be incontinent). Drinking less can be due to the fact that you are feeding rice with broth which is moist compared to kibble. I would suggest consulting with your vet and determining what may be the problem. The vet can prescribe something to help him poop. Maybe, if he goes, he may also feel better because being unable to defecate can make them nauseous. Or, the nausea could be part of whatever primary problem is making him feel ill in the first place.If taking him to the vet is difficult, there are mobile vets or vets who do house calls. Keeping you in my thoughts at this difficult time.

I have a 16 yr old chihuahua. She's still pretty active for her age. Appetite is amazing. But I'm not looking forward to the inevitably that will happen in a relatively short time.

Thank you for this my dog is dying right now he began vomiting yesterday morning and wouldn't eat or anything I'm really starting to Wonder if it's time for my dog to pass away my dog isn't doing well at all he's on his death bed and I'm really sad about losing my dog I'm really upset about this but it's life o guess i have to say my goodbye's to my dog since he's dying

This video is authentic and, sadly, accurate. I would like to contribute, however, the miraculous outcome my 12 yr. old. 118 lb GSD has enjoyed with respect to Hip Dysplasia. My Cooper gets 1500 mg. of Boswellia (separated into 3 doses throughout the day) together with an approximately/closely same mg. of Curcumin.( just pay attention to the mg values) He HAS hip dyplasia but can RUN!!!! There is NO GOOD REASON why dogs need to die SO SOON. Please look into potential "supports, supplements, healthy inclusions" . My heart breaks over the loss of ANY, ALL and EVERY dog who who has lived on the face of this globe.

This video has helped me. I didnt know what my dog died of. He was a 20 year old Jack Russell terrier. 3 days before he died in early morning abt 3am he was panting en had either a cough or he wanted to get flem off his chest..he had wet clear nose..i noticed he drank more.. he was eating well though. At 9am he was fine. No panting en chasing a ball. Then .2 days later abt same time 3am ish his panting returned. His gums seemed ok. After he died his mouth had fluid like bubbles. After seeing this video my conclusion is i think it was his time to die. Because i did read a dogs breathing pattern can change week,, days before he dies as his body is shutting down.

Thank you for the video. '...one more day...' I have to make that decision tomorrow. and know that to postpone will only force him to suffer longer. My male dog is 13 and we have been partners in life since he was a pup; dogs are partners and not property to me. His bad days outnumber his good. He has dementia and other problems giving him pain in moving and so on. I will be holding him at the end. I have opted for cremation and return of his ashes. The vet staff were great yesterday to explain everything and will allow me to pre-pay so I can leave when done. On his bad days the other dog and cat treat him differently as if they sense or know. I did not know dogs can get dementia until I observed him a few months ago and thought that he acts like a hooman with dementia and a search confirms it; he has all the symptoms. Even at my age of 76 I believe in the Rainbow Bridge: Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge....

I’m watching this while I’m holding my dogs paw as he’s slipping away. 13 good years from my miniature pincher. He was the best dog I could ever ask for. He was doing ok until last night. He since then has gone down hill. He has diabetes and been handling well the past 2 years. We took him to the emergency vet this morning but they wanted to much money to keep him so we just took him home. We knew it was coming he’s been with us all day today on Easter. I’m staying up all night with him. I don’t think he will make it to his vet in the morning. It’s very rough.

@@DogDiscoveries he barely made it to the vet. We had to put him down but he was almost gone when I got there. I held him and talked to him the whole night until the morning. My wife and I are crushed. It’s really going to be hard to get over him. Thanks for the reply
@@Jfokes So sorry, it's so devastating. It took my husband and I a long time to feel better. It hurts a little less as time goes by. What helped us was thinking about cherishing all the good times. Knowing our dogs, they wouldn't like to see us suffer.

So true, my neighbor once gave me the perfect description for how it feels to lose a dog. She told me it feels like somebody grabs your heart, tosses it to the ground and then shatters it into a million pieces. So sorry for your loss.
