- Welcome back to the ranch! Today, we are working around the barn doing some chores, arguing with cows, and I share a story about how my day was impacted by some poor choices that I made!

I always love days when we get both Paving New Paths and Off The Path With Kevin!
For now it will be every Sunday! Maybe once this channel gets established, I will start releasing more videos a week!
Time to get a dirt bike to pop into the back of that truck for a Plan B.
Include a map of the entire property! (Names and cow herds).
Every day Map out your day and potential issues that may arise and contingency plans
I have a husband who has done a lot of walking as well 😊
This is not the first or the last time I will have to do the walk of shame!
At least it wasn’t in knee deep snow, up hill Both ways! 😅
If I had to walk twice that's how the story would have went!
If you close the gate, they will b there waiting for you to open it for them! 😂😂. Maybe!!🤔
Exactly! If I didn't want them to leave they would be trying to escape!
Kevin, you need a drone, when you can't get to the herd lift the drone up and go investigate. You can also see where you are headed and what the conditions are before you get there.
That's a great idea and I really want a drone for the channel!
Both your channels are the best. 😂
Thank you! Glad you like them!
Sorry, I laughed a lot during your description of the looooong walk of shame! Not funny in the moment, but you have a GREAT attitude and a way of telling stories. That is a deluxe deer stand, btw.
It was way funnier when it was over with! While walking I had a lot of time to think about my choices I had made!
Oh MAN!!! What a huge ranch!! And so beautiful.
It is an awesome place!
Those cows know the grass is not always greener on the other side! 😂
They found out it actually is and way more of it!
Hi from WV!! Like someone else said, that is one big ranch! They always say, things are bigger in Texas!! Oh yes, walking in the rain for several miles isn't fun at all!! Stay safe and cool!!
This is a great place to work and yes it is huge!
Great video and office window views Kevin. Echo makes great equipment, lots of great reviews on their chainsaws as well, word is they take 10 tanks of fuel before they “wake up.” Thank you for taking us along on the journey and your work days. I look forward every week to see what new adventures you have been. 👍🏻👍🏻
So far I am liking the new Echo chainsaws, and by your math I have 4 more tanks before it really wakes up!
Fun fact I was yesterday years old that I learned. When it says 10% chance of rain, it doesn't mean 1 out of 10 chance of rain. It means 10% of the forecasted area will receive rain.
What about when they say 0% rain and it rains everyday?
@@OffThePathWithKevin Space X debris that you don't want to know about...
amazing tree stand hope the owl find their friends. Keep up the videos I sure enjoy them
They were with their friends the next day after we left it open all night! Not sure who found who but they finally escaped!
Get a Garmin inreach so you have contact with the outside world or a Garmin fenix watch so you have access to offline maps. Although I think google maps also offers offline maps to help get your navigational position
That was the issue, I had a map but the signal still said I was at the barn, so I had no idea where I actually was on the property in relation to the barn! The maps are also dated as it shows open fields in places that are now grown up! Needless to say I did a lot of foot exploring that day!
@@OffThePathWithKevinI would say leave breadcrumbs, but the cows will eat them 😂😂. With a Garmin watch you can breadcrumb and it’ll map you back. With the multi band gps they have, if GPS can’t lock in, GLONASS or GALILEO will 😊. Plus they mark a good fitness watch for that sweet new home gym lol
Thank you enjoy God Bless
Thank you!
Echo’s are great to
They made a believer out of me!
OMG Kevin. I feel your pain. Do you have access to a four wheeler? Maybe you could put it on a small trailer behind your truck. That gives you the ability to run back and forth and not walk in that Texas heat. Enjoying your new channel.
They have a side by side but no one ever plans on getting stuck! You will see soon I built something to help me carry my tools with me on thr tractor!
Did you find a new number 7 cow friend yet
So far no one wants to assume the #7 role, but it's summertime now. We shall see who the protector will be when they start having babies again!
Any time you might need some help I'm willing, if I'm home!
I can put you to work!
Thank you 👋😁 good driving.
Thank you!
You need a side by side
They have one, It's just not on this part of the property, also if I got it stuck I would be in the same scenario!
Hello from the Great Smoky Mountains TN Love the new channel.
Thank you!
Always good to see some John Deer. We’re I live it has been so hot and no rain. Love the Watch you do work so I do not have to. When will there be trailer videos. I use steel weed eater. Nice and light and easy to use. Fs70r. Love that new chain saw. Very nice. Will you have some house videos on this channel to? You are to much😂 have a good day!
Hey Patrick! This channel will likely never show house or family stuff, this is primarily anything that is not Paving New Paths content! The trailer stuff starts next Sunday and there is about 5 videos in a row on the trailer and how it became what it is now!
I see progress being made. You'll make it!
Laura Ashley furniture is pricey. Look it up. I love the look of your "find."
Love Buddy's jump and run when you say GO! Lol
Enjoy that weight equipment.
Well at least I know you are watching both channels! The furniture is great, and we are very close to moving into the house!
@@OffThePathWithKevin yep watching both and commenting willy nilly. Haha 😄 🤣
Next time, take the John deer! Lol!
You will see soon I made something so I could carry my tools and supplies with me on the tractor!
Kevin, you need a satellite phone, you'll be able to get in touch with anybody anywhere anytime.
We might just get a cellphone booster on the ranch truck!
I was in Wetherford Tx, in may it rained like that.
We have never seen so much rain in June!
If you didn't want the cows to go thru the gate they'd be all over you trying to get out.
My thoughts exactly!
Might be a good idea to come up with another form of communication in case something (God forbid) happens where cell phones don't work. Or lease some land for Cell phone tower!
Maybe a cellphone booster on the ranch truck!
I'd like to see a video of that deer stand in use
Wait till winter!
Your telling of the story was funny for a not so fun experience. 👍 Have you thought about getting another mode of transportation for when you get stuck? A bike or electric scooter or something? Seeing as how this was the second time you've gotten stuck it might be a good idea. Love both your channels!❤️
It's way funnier now than it was that day!
We could really do with some of your rain here in VA! My hay fields are turning brown, creek is dry, hot and dusty. Even the mice kick up rooster tails of dust 😅.
It rains so much here we have to much grass! They hay guys are having a hard time getting fields cut and baled without getting rained on!
That was our Spring, wet wet wet, but now …… dust 🙄
Sell the grill for scrap metal!
You know how your family is about getting rid of things!
Amen to that.
I’m like you love my stihl chainsaw
I am a big fan of the Echo Chainsaws now!
What's with the old house near where you're working? That beautiful John Deere is sure dirty.
That's the childhood home the owner grew up in! It was moved there a long time ago and used as a ranch retreat, but it has not been used in a long time!
You make hard work look fun! This ranch is huge and beautiful! Is it a working ranch or more of an animal sanctuary? (I’m trying to figure out the whole “free range cow” thing?)
Not really free-range cows, each herd has a pasture they are assigned to, and it is very much a working ranch! When you have good grass and good land management, the cows basically take care of themselves, we only show up when it's time to separate, brand, tag and vaccinate them! The rest of the time we just let them do whatever cows want to do!
@@OffThePathWithKevin ah, ok, cool. I loved the technology you showed in the last video, so I figured there had to be more to it than just letting the cows wander. Thanks for the info!
TIME FOR A TRUCK WINCH !!!
Not sure it would have helped much in this situation!
Way to Hot, every time you point with your arm you can see our sweaty arm.
It is getting really warm out right now! You need to figure out how to stay in the tractor by lunch time!
😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
Thank you!
