- Thank you all and thank the lord for the support! Join me in making money delivering compost and rocks! In this video, I'll share how I do these deliveries and how you can get involved too. Let's make some money together!
I liked the "God is good" in the beginning!
Glad to see people put that out there. It takes a lot of guts sometimes!
Thank you! I agree it does. It's easy to be scared and backed into a corner out of fear of persecution.
@@Haroldsheavyduty yes sir!
Praise God and thank you for sharing these biz ideas and also for acknowledging God 🙏🏻
You need to factor in taxes, truck depreciation, trailer depreciation and ofc gas. Overhead is another thing. Time spent getting the jobs, talking to customers, invoicing, accounting etc. so those 200 for 2h of work is not what is actual going into your pocket. Not trying to be mean, but it’s important people understand the true cost of running a business if you want to stay in it for the long run.
I definitely see where you're coming from. A lot of the things you mentioned can go right over peoples heads. When I do a breakdown video I'll do my best to include every potential expense so that people have an idea of what it's truly like running and operating a business.
I couldn't agree with this comment more! Bro must be in the business himself and actually killing it 🫡💪
@@Haroldsheavyduty counting the fuel costs is not enough brother. You need to count literally everything like that man's comment said
@JackofHaulTrades yes yes I know my brother you both are right. I'll go more in depth on actual expenses in a future video.
@@Haroldsheavyduty Also since you are are over 10K gross weight pulling that trailer, Some
states require you to have DOT numbers displayed, yearly vehicle inspections and a valid
medical card just like a trucker. I have a video on that.
Keep it up Youngman because this country really needs people like yourself. G.B.
Thank you sir ❤️
Really appreciate the Bible verse at the end 🙏🏾
🙏❤️
Thank you Harold I appreciate the credit! I am happy that your killing it man keep going these material Deliveries are great!
I got you & yes man they are awesome! It was a great idea from the get-go. What else can we help people do?!
You are good at explaining everything, I have no questions. Assuming your trailer has ramps, Id say you should consider getting a mini skid loader to provide value added services.
I appreciate the feedback. I also agree and believe that will be the next step :)
@@Haroldsheavydutyperhaps look at a dump trailer? One you could rent out or do deliveries in. I’ve seen a few guys with them that do tree wood removal to the dump, junk removal to the dump. Have a hydraulic Jack and cargo net. Buying a skid steer could work also, but now you have maintenance to think about, gas, oil, grease, repairs. And how would you get it to the site when your trailer is full of stuff?
Hey, thanks for sharing this content! What are you using for book keeping and do you like it?
I do it all myself with the assistance of Excel
Really enjoying your channel and have now subscribed. I have a thought they may help you. You have an amazing trailer and it would be rough to see someone mark it up when loading material. You have stake pockets along the sides which look like they would fit 2x4 s. If it were my trailer I would put 2x4 in there and run a 2x6 horizontally from front to back that way if someone hits the trailer while loading it hit the relatively cheap and easily replaced wood 2x6. Just a thought. Keep it up I appreciate your insights! information!
I'm having trouble visualizing this as the pockets are on the outside side of the trailer. Are you saying put the two by fours on the outside? I love the idea of extra protection.
@@Haroldsheavyduty yes about I don't know 10 inches and the 2x6 inside that. The drivers loading you are always looking to clear a visual barrier and this wood can be a great way to protect your sides. I did this on my dump truck and it works! If I can find a Pic I will send you and you will see what I mean
@@Haroldsheavyduty hmm won't let me paste a pic
Lots of dump trucks do this if you look online I'm sure you will get the idea
Here you go this guy added on but in my opinion over did it to add capacity. That is not what I am proposing. I am proposing 1 row of 2x6 as protection only against loading. Anyway I've taken enough of your time....best of luck and keep up the posting!

Awesome
love the content just wondering what size truck would you recommend assuming youre towing 1 ton hauls. Thanks new sub here and God bless!
Thanks for the sub! I would use a minimum of a three-quarter ton truck. I also recommend a diesel in case you haul more we get into other things.
Great videos! What truck do you have? Thanks
Thank you! 2019 F250 6.7
Hello. I'm seriously considering getting in to this business. How do you advertise to the public that you haul and deliver small quantities of gravel, rock, dirt, etc?
I'll go into most of this in today's video!
Hey Harold, thanks for your videos... I'm looking to start a side job and I think this is it... would a Sierra 1500 truck work ok to start pulling a trailer similar to yours? Thank you
Possibly for smaller loads!
can you make a video on how to start this business, the startup costs, how to land the first client and how to market
Yes I plan to do that here soon
You can post on FB and lots of groups allow your ads or posts. But making a name a brand is not about just selling. So good quotes, positive stuff but all your small business groups realtor's and so on. Best wishes good attitude and mission. You might be losing a lot of money however. Best wishes.
Great work
Thanks!
He'll yeah dude get after it
👏🔥
What size vehicle are you using to pull the trailer?
Three-quarter ton diesel
Do you source your materials from a supply yard with a store front? I havent found a supply yard that offers discount pricing plus all landscape supply stores in my area offer delivery within a 10 mile radius for $50. only larger yards that offer discount pricing but require higher minimums 5 yards on aggregate and 8 yards on soils and mulch
Typically, yes. Ask for contractor pricing as they all should have it. They probably have a minimum tonnage for their delivery though? Either way you can still mark up a little bit and or do longer deliveries with a higher delivery fee.
Very random but what rims are you running and what's the spec? They look great!
I love answering this because I've commented on others builds so many times like you're doing but get ZERO response 🤣

@@Haroldsheavyduty Thanks! Really appreciate it. Keep doing what you're doing, so inspiring!
I watch him as well. Very awesome guy
Agreed
That tag is not very good. Gas cost, insurance, labor, wear on truck trailers, dump fees you're done. Make sure you are covering your basic cost. And never under value yourself.
Do you have an LLC with it? And insurance?
Yes!
What kind of truck you have ?
F250 diesel
How i Can finded customer
Facebook is a good start! I like to use marketplace. Could also try to Google ads
Where type of insurance do you have for your dump trailer I just got my dump trailer and I have seen some people go with mba
I'll go over this in the next video!
So are you just a hauling service side gig or a junk removal dumpster rental?
I just sell rocks lol! But we are very quickly starting to expand
@@Haroldsheavyduty So you buy the rocks and sell them or have a client buy the rocks they want and need them deliver?
Do you have customer's sign a contract? If so what does it consist of?
For the trailer rentals, yes. For Rock delivery, I'll get into that in one of the next videos.
5:54 how the hell did you make that turn hahahaha
Ha! The first couple times I definitely had some help. It was tricky had to learn to do it but I learned lol
If u need help I’ll come work for u
where do you find a dump trailer ?
At your local dealership or on Facebook marketplace or craigslist
Tell me about this Business demand in dutch market (Netherlands and Belgie9
I have no idea how the business would be in another country but I don't think that should stop you from trying!
God is good. As he lets millions starve to death each and every year. Silliness.
You should read the book of Ecclesiastes
@@Haroldsheavyduty same book which endorses slavery, genocide, and revenge killings of children? Nahh I'll pass on that but thx. Was a christian for 35 years and won't ever go back at this point.
