  • The first Dawson & Joey love theme, composed by Adam Fields and used during the first season of Dawson's Creek. I love this score, it has sense of innocence to it. This score along with other rare score pieces from the show were available on "The Score" soundtrack, available exclusively at dawsonscreekcds.com which is no longer in operation. One of my most cherished score albums.

    I know it's stupid because they all had such mature vocabulary and silly problems, but I don't want to forget Dawson's Creek. Love the themes...

    Well, I've been done with the series for a while now. Loved it. But I still maintain that this is my favorite love theme in the entire show. Especially how it was used in Season 1. Just perfect.

    Adam Fields composed the first season and Danny Lux composed the second. Therefore, this theme was discontinued after season 1. When Adam Fields came back for season 4, he composed a whole new theme for Dawson and Joey. The second theme is way more fitting to the development of these characters in that season.

    Wish they would have used this beyond season 1. I just bought the complete series and right now, I'm in the middle of season 3. Great so far.

    What a complete freaking travesty the way the show ended. Should went with the other one.

      The writers just had to spoil a good planned ending by changing it around so that they could satisfy majority of the female fans who wanted a Pacey+Joey ending. I guess that's how the writers have fun. Nothing for Dawson/Joey fans, except for a forced 'soul mate' consolation prize.

      Slacker Kid
      That's not actually true, or at least not clear. Williamson said that one reason was that they couldn't get Meredith Monroe, who played Andi, for the filming. This made things more complicated. There are other reasons floating around but I agree that the finale completely ruined the show's premise and it became Pacey's Creek. Williamson left DC after season 2 and in order to shake things up the writers decided to make Pacey fall for Joey which meant the writers ruined the friendship they had shared before. DC never recovered from that blunder and to top it off, beginning of season 6 Dawson and Joey had a crummy one night stand and that was it. To this day I feel betrayed watching Joey bawling her eyes out in the pilot because those tears seem so disingenuous because apparently her love for Dawson was not strong enough and instead she rewarded Dawson's best friend's backstabbing by dating him.

      +starlodear The writers did a bad job by making Dawson look like a loser. If Pacey and Joey were to be together at any time of the show, then the writers should have given Dawson a strong and meaningful story line. It is like, all the writers could think about was Pacey and Joey without considering what Dawson would do or where he went. Dawson had NO goals apart from Joey. And if there was no Joey for him, then his life had no meaning. Sure, Dawson wanted to be a director/producer/etc. But in the field of film making, you either make it, or you don't. And even if you don't make it, then you'll be at home always doing your small film projects until you get the chance, make it big and become successful. You're bound to become successful and at least go somewhere. If Dawson was not going to get Joey either during the show or in the end, then the writers should have created another character that was strong enough to be another Joey for Dawson. And by that , I don't mean Jen. I'm saying the writers should have created a strong character that would have given Dawson a meaningful and long lasting love life. Someone that we could feel and see Dawson ending up with without feeling dissatisfied that Dawson didn't end up with Joey. That was the only way the show could have truly ended. I'm saying this because, even after the show has ended, the viewers are still continuing it and the show never truly ended.

      True. It remind me of "Wonder Years" where Kevin and Winnie went their separate ways. Yet another betrayal.

    • @TheGuyNobodyReallyLikes
      @TheGuyNobodyReallyLikes 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. That was also a show where people wanted the two to end up together. At least in The Wonder Years there was no Pacey to screw Kevin. Ironically, Pacey did make a reference to Kevin and Winnie when talking about Dawson and Joey. What we do need though, are strong shows with characters having meaningful relationships where they are meant for each other and also end up with each other so that everyone can be satisfied and have a happy ending when the show ends.
