- The second Dawson & Joey love theme, composed by Adam Fields and used during the fourth season and onwards of Dawson's Creek. When Adam came back as composer for the show's fourth season he created a completely new theme for Dawson & Joey. Unlike the first theme that revolved around a friendship turning into love, this theme had a mature feel of a friendship beginning to rekindle but with an undying love still very much alive. This score along with other rare score pieces from the show were available on "The Score" soundtrack, available exclusively at dawsonscreekcds.com which is no longer in operation. One of my most cherished score albums.
Dawson’s creek had SERIOUSLY one of the best soundtrack ever. I feel so much richer having watched this amazing serie. Lots of magic songs to remember!
It really did. 90s pop music and a wonderful score. Had the best of both worlds.
Sad that the soundtrack was changed on the DVDs and Adam’s score isn’t known too much.
@@evilsilence88 there are a few rare cases where I prefer the replacement songs or at least like them. Overall it's certainly better with the original music.

I love Dawson and Joey because they had this unbreakable bond and this deep never ending love for each other. Even through all the crap they went through that connection they had always remained constant and by the series end it was stronger than ever. They really were soulmates.
But then what is the point of being soulmates if Dawson and Joey cannot be together? Even though they have this bond and they are soulmates, if they aren't together with each other, then they are just two different souls always away apart from one another. All they will do is to believe that their soulmate is out there somewhere and pretend to be happy for it all, yet they will never be together and their happiness will never be there compared to the happiness they would have when they are with each other.
The Guy Nobody Really Likes Kevin Williamson said it himself in an interview when writing the two part series finale. She ends up with Pacey because its undeniable that they have the greater attraction, but that doesn't mean that can be the only permanent in our lives. He said he wanted to show a different side of what the term "soulmate" could be, rather than the overplayed cliche of "we're soulmates so we end up together". I thought it was the right choice, and a great choice. Sort of like, you can move to a different place you absolutely love when you become an adult, but many of us still feel that nostalgic comfort for home. For where we grew up, and nothing can replace that. They are home for each other. A relationship that rises above who ends up with who, who's sleeping with who etc. It just is, and it always will be, because it always was.

Its so wonderful and it really defines the beautifulness of everything that had to to in Dawson`s Creek series: the moments between Dawson and Joey. I still cant believe they didnt end up together as they were meant to be.
Just caught this wonderful series for the first time this year and I'm overwhelmed by how Dawson and Joey were together. I cannot believe they didn't end up together. What a travesty. This music is beautiful and really is so romantic and calm and just perfect for them.
these two characters just by looking at each other you know what they mean to each other ... so pacey is the practical love and dawson is the unconditional spiritual love that never ends !! so team dawson ans joey all the way 💖✌

The Guy Nobody Really Likes Honestly, though. I don’t think we’re supposed to. Season 2 was a mess, and for some reason that made Joey so angsty and continually ready to throw Dawson away at the smallest quarrel. End of season 2 was one of my favorite times in DC, when they got back together, and then they threw it into the sh*tter.
@@evilsilence88 if Kevin had been able to stay on post season 2 and saw it through to the end the show would have been completely different.

I think the fact that Joey didn't end up with Dawson doesn't change anything. Their love was so big and pure, it's beyond sexual attraction, beyond being "just" a couple. When I saw the last episode I got that idea; that their love was more like a spiritual thing, like soul mates. Joey and Pacey are a couple, they love each other. Joey and Dawson are soul mates. Nothing can come between them :)
I'm reviewing Dawson Creek to keep up with the smallest details. the conclusion I came to is that Joey loves Dawson, Dawson’s indecision makes her frustrated with the feeling that Joey feels for Dawson. This indecision enters Pancey, who has always been into Joey. so Joey falls in love with Pancey, she feels a very strong carnal attraction. after she has sexual intercourse with Pancey a lot changes in the feeling between them. she still likes Dawson, but not like before. she always feels sad around Dawson. that was terrible for the audience that has the greatest motivation to watch The Series in Dawson and Joey's relationship. not to mention that Jack got into the story very badly, he came in ruining the relationship between Dawson and Joey.

This song reminds me to the love of my life. We spent 11 years together. I made a video of us together with this song. And now it's been 5 years since we lost each other and I can finally listen.
I don't regret any second I spent with him. I may never find anyone like him. I am starting to make peace with this fact.

Back in 2007 I hunted down an email for Adam Fields and he responded and mailed me a CD of all his work from Dawson's Creek. I don't know where you can get it elsewhere but I have it!
