- Why are ITZY getting so much hate lately, are the girls responsible for it, are they a failier or are ITZY really the flops they've been claimed to me? Is JYP treating ITZY like he is supposed to? I just realized ITZY spent 8 months without a comeback. Since I always see ITZY posts in my feed I thought they were very active but you're right, MIDZYs are the ones promoting them

It annoys me a lot how much hate Itzy get when you can clearly see that they've been working their hardest every comeback, only to be hated just for the sake of hating.
It's just heartwarming that when they had their concerts you can feel Midzy's support for them.

if they were only treated right, i strongly believe that they had more than the potential to be bigger than the other bigger group on the other famous company... of course itzy is still doing better than other groups on smaller companies that have debuted around the same time as them.. i still see them as the top queen of 4th gen.. but.. div2 really did them dirty...

Right. They try a different concept every time and while I love it, it kinda seems like jyp doesn't know what to do w them so he just randomly throws songs at them. I think this comeback will be more consistent tho
Its a shame. They were blasted so much during debut just to be left off. Even rookies groups like NMIXX and XDINARYHeroes have better management, content and free creative input, with many of the things they perform being their own ideas pitched and slightly tweaked.

Thank you for the video. As a Midzy it saddens me that ITZY has to take the brunt of stuff that they have no control over. Can’t wait for this comeback though. Bet on me is already one of my favs.

Its really sad to know that jyp has like alot of amounts of money to spend on itzy and give them covers and stuff, but still decide to mismanage them and dont really care about them, even kpop gg PIXYs company(allart ent/happy tribe ent) promote them way better than jyp does with itzy, and their nugus and probably have a low budget
JYP has missed the opportunity to make ITZY bigger. They were unlucky when COVID came out. NMIXX has debuted when ITZY was growing and had potential to grow more. They have earned a company a lot of money and didn't receive a fair treatment. That's sad. DIV2 has thrown away so many opportunities. I hope they will be able to renew their contracts on better conditions.

Tbh that JYP advice only works back then during gen1 and gen 2. But now? Alot of nugu groups sang live yet they still disbanded or still under the rock for years. 4th gen is all about online presence,
and now Itzy don't even have those. Heck i just even found out this week that Itzy is making a comeback. While NewJeans (for example), i already knew about their comeback in the middle of last month, bcus they kept on updating everywhere and they even partnered up with TH-cam for Super Shy challenge.

I’ve always been a casual listener of itzy, and imo their music quality/production has been going downhill. Their ‘kill my doubt’ album cover/teasers has been mediocre and it feels reused. Very disappointing considering itzy have a solid fan base and amazing talent.
im sorry itzy fell off because of jyp. like their songs feel like im in a job interview. and they should feel like i wanna twerk in a job interview. i want that loud colorful lively sound back. sneaker was such a bad song im sorry jyp needs to do better.

if you listen to “bet on me” and you’ll understand the lyrics, i think jyp understands how the artists feel, and let them express it in one of their mvs. i don’t think theyre really “mistreated”
Yeah. This song feels very personal and he took part in the lyrics. But the fact that he still gave them this division means a lot.

@@yejisschocolate no he's not someone named jimmy jeong is at ceo position in jype . he's doesn't have much power as everyone thinks he used to be ceo but he has not been in that position from a long long time ago. He's a founder and hve some shares in that company other than that i don't think he have any power to do anything or any changes so can we all stop blaming to that person who has nothing to do with all this atleast now!.

In addition to the teaser, they only released a MV and did not release the song. This shows a very different behavior from the div4 with nmixx's pre-released songs released on the same day.
Exactly. Div4 promoted nmixx very well and was able to build big hype before the mv dropped. Unfortunately only midzy remembered that itzy would drop a mv bc there was absolutely zero promo for it😥
probably JYP is throwing them away like hey did with his every gg he is known that he can't handle multiple ggs at the same time he throw away wonder girls ones miss a debuted miss a once twice debuted (he couldn't do that with twice) he hybe up the fans on propose just to disappoint them so the attention will shift to his new gg the history is repeating itself again and again

At this point it's kind of clear that the girls should either leave the agency or go solo. Ik that at least sm of the girls will be able to make it in kpop. The backstage/behind the scene ma episodes are just trash.. the staff don’t even edit it, it’s always just compiling random videos and dialogues of Itzy them uploading them.
Less is more. Quality over quantity.
The worst thing about checkmate was they were forced to do a tiktok snipet/spoiler of sneakers where the girls were playing around with food while faking to like the dance to sneakers. The girls themselves don’t like sneakers. So many performances where’s n they looked unhappy while singing it.
They are young women, they ARE THE MARKET, they know what’s good and what’s not.
Cheshire album was damage control.l, hence it was rushed, it only even had 4 songs, barely any hype or promotion. It didn’t place top 10 of billboard due to the different day of release, but thankfully due to loyal MIDZYs, it still got over 1 million orders.
Also that they still don’t have legit collabs… the closest was Ryujin & Yeji with Bebe rexha but it was just a performance, that was initiated by the girls themselves and not the company…

And I know most MIDZYs are NOT in Korea, their fanbase are INTERNATIONAL.
It would be nice for another better ENGLISH SINGLE. besides all the girls are fluent in English, that’s freaking rare, but they’re not using it to their advantage.
Lia and ryujin are good lyrics and great at conveying what they mean, they could write something good.
Yeji and Chae are freaking dance machines they should get credit for choreography.
Yuna is a good artist she should have help with the art direction.

Also, this is in context of an opinion I heard somewhere that they were likely to be a placeholder since SKZ was chosen in that competition. I don’t count that as credible but it lends to the intentional feel that this all has. It’s like someone is saying that they should have def been grateful and made to constantly remember that. But as it was put, despite this look at the success!!!😊
They just are getting the bad deal from management not itzy
This is so frustrating the girls are so talented but these people at division 2 can't even do their job well. Girls deserve to be treated well and in a respectable way, let them have more activities, more content, let them be more invovled in the creative process and credit them! I hope they hire more capable people that really know what concepts are instead of only following trends. JYP do something!

they are HORRIBLY mismanaged. when they're managed well (imo up until Wannabe era) they literally ran 4th gen
I dont think its fair to say they are flopping just because they arent reaching the same success as they did with wannabe.
Tho i think itzy have other problems that wont solve over night instead of just "bad management". They had multiple things strike them at the same time and thats gonna leave a mark. They are trying to figure out a direction out of teen pop as they are getting older, their main concept was being a dance/performance focused group but their bodies cant handle those choreos any more and they have to tone it down now. Which also means they need to transition away from that and work on their vocal. Itzy arent bad vocally but they arent good either. They spent most of their training and energy in their dance and performance and its just how it goes.
And that's not to say JYPE is a perfect company or management. Tho i think we are lucky all this is happening under a big company so they can actually carry the load of these changes and cushon it a bit.
good video. I wish for Midzy to know that when people like me criticize their poor songs/choreos/concepts is not an attack or hate at the girls and the group. If I just didn't care O wouldn't even bother commenting. I loved them from the beginning. They were so unique and cool. They are so talented. I don't consider myself a Midzy cause I like all gg so I'm not a hardcore fan of just one group. Maybe Twice could be it but it became a try to keep the collection going 😂
I just hope they get success but they need a back to the roots in my opinion.

I'm scared for them. ITZY is the only kpop group I "stan" even though i listed to both GG and BG casually. I buy their albums and even got their shoe from charles & keith. I love them so much but I sense a decrease in their popularity. Their new b side "none of my business" has 2.7 Million views 2 days in while other groups release a bside and it gets 6-10 million views first day. Maybe they're not using ads i don't know much of that but when they were releasing wannabe and MITM their hashtags would be treding on twitter ans talked about amongst kpop fans whether they were a stan or not. I don't see them being talked about much anymore and it makes me so sad that they're being overshadowed by newer girl groups
unlike most 4th gen / 5th gen gg they actually have a pretty strong fanbase. But they havent reallt attracted many new fans in a long time. Personally used to love ITZY. I was so close to staning but then a wave of new 4th gen and 5th gen groups came and took my attention. Now that i'm coming back to them for a second chance i only feel anoyed. Because of the lack of a consistant concept they feel very messy and i get less and less exited for their comebacks. I was always a pretty causal listener to them, and even though i still am, i don't feel the same apeal to them as i used to. Now i'm just pissed of whenever someone talks about them since the whole JYP treating them badly is the only thing thats being discussed when it comes to ITZY. AN di think this has subconshisly afected the way i see the group.
I just hote JYP gets his shit together soon, because the only group in JYP rn that arent having a concept crisis are Stray Kids. And funny enough theyre the only ones who make their own music. If i was JYP i'd be so embarased. Like he can't seem to gie his groups good music that the general public likes. Everyone already hates ITZY's comeback even though it hasent been relaesed, no one talks about NMXX and TWICE's new concept dosent apeal to anybody. Not international fans neither korean fans. The only reason that TWICE and ITZY are doing pretty will is becaue of their super strong fan bases. But since NMIXX are to new to have a strong fanbase, i am quite worried about how they'll go on. Like their new concept is basicly New Jeans DITTO. And you have to be very skilled when it comes to making songs like DITTO. Witch NMIXX producers clearly arn't.

Although this video is about ITZY I can't help but mention their junior group (NMIXX) both groups are currently mismanaged when it comes to their musical trajectory. Both Itzy and NMIXX started off with a certain concept (for itzy) and genre (for nmixx) but they recieved a lot of hate so their respective divisions decided to listen (mainly to non-fans) complains and decided to completely change it. Itzy changed their concept of being yourself and loving yourself to being crazy in love (they got back to the love yourself concept during checkmate which is good but intl fans ruined it) then the Cheshire which is most likely a connection to Nmixx and straykids (not needed) and now they're lost what music to put out, any genre that suits them just as long as it doesn't have that kiddy-vibe to it is good and how they handle the hate towards the girls, their safety and little to no promotion and even JYP, the man himself doesn't listen to Yeji's honest requests. For NMIXX, eversince the hate from ad mare to entwurf div4 decided to abandon the mixxpop making the girls lose their original identity and started jumping on the trends and is always trying to make false marketing when it comes to their music (party o'clock and lmlt isn't mixxpop, pls stop being delusional) div 4 didn't even bother hiring different composers and producers for mixxpop and instead completely abandoned it when mixxpop can actually work. Div4 also doesn't know hot to handle and protect the girls from the media and the public now BOTH groups suffer from their divisons stupid descisions. Goodluck Itzy! I know that explroing different genre and concept is ok but Itzy took a total 180° change, they need to make another "love yourself" concept like sneakers but doesn't sound like a commercial song, for ITZY's genre? I'm ok with anything just as long as it suits the vibe. Nmixx needs to stick with mixxpop, their new title track sounds more like garage beat.
Itzy could have been the most famous kpop gg in world. I mean just look at the individuality and talent of each member.

Tbh, itzy never flopped or are flopping. Their music is still catchy and good as 2019. Can't we just go on without a comeback which doesn't receive so much and negative reviews? The whole hate thing is pointless. About the overworking thing, I don't think it's much of a big deal. Every kpop and pop star is overworked, not only them. Let's support itzy this comeback as much as we can, they deserve an apology after so much hate.
Exactly. Itzy aren't flops. But the lack of a good promo definitely plays its role. And yeah I just hope everyone supports them throughout this comeback and finally stops the unnecessary hate
