More than a year later, look where we are now! Each member is doing so well individually and have achieved a whole lot since this video has been posted! Even after leaving JYPE, I hope everyone continues to support all of the members, and wait patiently for their comeback!
I've been M.I.A for a while now, which is my bad. Life kinda hit, yaknow? Lost my inspiration for making videos and I resort to writing now... But since I was missing GOT7, I came back to watch this video and your support towards me and wanting to help GOT7 is so endearing. I DO APOLOGIZE for the editing. Honestly, I began editing this video trying to make light of the bad situation they were going through and when I added more to the video, the mood just switched. I remember in 2017 when got7 and bts is in the same level of popularity. My classmates and I were so crazy over got7 back then, but suddenly got7 didn't got comeback and promotion. If only got7 have a better treatment by their company, they must've been one of the biggest boy group now.

JYP is a classic example of narcissistic leadership. He only enjoy the mentor role earlier in the mentorship when his students (got7) still have much to learn and look up to him, are easier to swayed by his opinions, his artistic vision. But as everyone grew and gained artistic vision of their own, they could clearly see through his bs and want to project their ideal into their own works too. This is where they collide. You can see it in the vid where JYP shut down JB's music sample after merely seconds of listening, and tracks after tracks. It's not just about JYP's way of screening music but also a prime example of power playing. He simply shut it down because "not good to listen to". It shows how he don't respect JB as a professional musician but emphasize more on his power, like "I can trash your entire creative career because I don't see it fit", that's the kind of message he imply, and that's how he wants the power balance to remain. It's not a matter of compromise, discuss what could be improve, what works and what not, but what he decides, so they better work hard and obey the power.
Honestly, I believe each member will flourish after leaving the company but I feel really bad for Mark since he has so much potential in the music industry, both in Korea and China, if only he had the right footwork, support.
yeah this becomes clear when you take a look at how he still treats rain to this day. you can tell he still sees him as less than him, not as an equal artist whom he respects.

@@amhachannel6305 i am not sure if you are here since day6 debut or not, but day6 signed a contract not like other jype groups. They debuted initially just to be like underground band. Like hyukoh or something. I followed jype groups from got7 to itzy, imo, none got as much downplayed/self esteem ruined by that hag jyp than got7. Aside from the lack of promos, and those times when they were not treated like decent human beings they were also downplayed by that hag a lot. At least groups like day6 and skz have better creative freedom better than got7. And groups like twice and itzy have better promos than got7. Got7 literally got worst of both things

I’m just so confused how jyp let’s day6 and stray kids make all their own music, but is then super controlling when it comes to got7. It seems selfish because he’s doing what he want to do for the group instead of what the group actually wants. It’s one thing to be strict about their songs, but the lack of promotion and lack of protection is so senseless. Ever since their debut, JYP had an image planned for them, but they’ve evolved as artists and JYP isn’t allowing them to nurture and develop that talent. It’s a shame since got7 has so much talent.
Bands arent very popular in Korea, JYP knows that, but let them debut anyways, since he doesn't feel threatened by them. Jae's (I think that's his name? Not sure) growing popularity both domestically and internationally caught him off guard though, which is why Day6 get bad promotions. Stray Kids are a group of talented, but short boys. Like under average height short. JYP knew the public was gonna see that, and pick them apart for their looks. Plus he doesn't protect the members of Stray Kids from hate. Luckily because of Stray Kids hard working producers/rappers, he still makes money out of them, but doesn't feel threatened. Got7 was a whole different case though. They had the full perfect idol group package: English speakers, good looking members, members with great solo potential, outstanding dancers etc. which is why he was so cruel to them. He always wants to control. He's probably a narcissist.

Day6 was just a "side" group for JYP (like how 2pm was the main boygroup and 2am neglected child) and they debuted as a band with more mature fans instead of pop idols. So more freedom was given. Stray kids was a experiment from JYP. They never had hip hop group before, it was outside of JYP idol boys. He wanted to try YG style i think. Less attention on visual e.t.c So this leaves Got7 as their only standard idol boygroup. Thats why Got7 was under hard control.
I'm not saying it's because if GOT7 had full control it be clear they were better singers/songwriters then JYP who seems determined to make sure that no other male idol under his label is seen as anything less then inferior to him and his music, but that's what I am saying
Not to say Stray kids or Day6 are not super talented they are, and I am a huge fan of both, but I don't think JYP sees them as a threat, so he basically leaves them alone

JYP never debuted top 1 popular boygroup, unlike SM and YG. Their girl group always becomes super popular but not his boygroups.2 pm was veeery popular yes, but they were never legendary like Big Bang or TVXQ. But both 2pm and Got7 had potential to become even bigger if they had hit songs. JYP boygroups never produce hit songs because JYPs own taste sucks. JYP should admit it ,and stop interfering their boygroup songs. Honestly this 2 boygroups became popular thanx to their personality and variety shows instead of JYP promotion.

What he really means is - 'it isn't his color'...because a lot of Got7 title track I could honestly imagine him doing it.
He (and other managers) probably mean it's not the color that the company has set for GOT7. If that's the case, well it's time for some changes that aligns with what the boys want to do.
That's what jyp does with nearly all his artists he makes them sing in "half air half sound" even if it doesn't fit them and makes them sing for hours if they don't get it right he also doesn't like them to change their image or try something new
Got7 and jyp are legit friends. Ofcourse jyp will reject songs if he doesn’t approve it he’s also a boss he can’t just release whatever they make without consideration of whether is song is good or not ? All got 7 member calls jyp by his name followed by -hyung in korea if you’re relationship is strictly business you’ll use pd-Nim sajangnim etc . So this video is very fucking stupid and so is the comments who thinks got7 gets mistreated. They joke around a lot too and got7 sometimes roasts jyp on their streams and on shows as well. He’s also a boss so he can’t just let them release garbage under the jyp name. Not to mention there are many got7 songs that are released that were made by them. So this tells us jyp only rejects the songs he doesn’t believe have potential in and that’s his job and that’s what made his company the richest entertainment company in korea atm
Because every group debuts with a theme ? As idols they don’t make the theme but instead it’s their jobs to adapt to it? So sure it’s their individual colours but it’s not got7’s colours. Sure you might like it since you’re already a fan and has bias opinion but at the end of the day they want to grow their product not maintain it stagnant forever

I am a new ahgase and I started stanning them after ''ENCORE'' (I wasn't into stanning a k-pop band/group and when I listened to ''ENCORE'' I was so touched that I cried without even knowing their story, after checking their other songs I found out that I have listened to half of them and liked it literally, sorry for being late and not be there to support them)
now whenever I see how they were mistreated I feel so happy that they left JYP, they got their freedom and it's time for them to fly high with their own colors (I am so happy I found these guys who 100000000% proved that their friendship is real and remaining as a group doesn't need a contract)

I got goosebumps in the end when the video shows GOT7's achievements and contributions. GOT7 surely deserve better treatment and hospitality. Truly sad to see this happened to them as they are the first K-pop group that I know and root for. Their debut song hit me hard from the first time I heard it. Hope they can and will debut as a group of 7 again under a different company and a new group name just like Highlight in the future. But some of them have already signed up with a company like Bambam tho. Huhu, but I will continue to root for them. GOT7 FIGHTING!

Whole of kpop use various genres and are mostly inspired by western music. Jyp himself has made songs that sound like western music. Well the girls are talented lyricists themselves, they've written some really great songs and besides they want to go for a girl crush concept, but JYP won't allow that. Twice became very famous in Korea because of Cheer Up and JYP wants to maintain their Korean popularity with cute and repetitive, catchy lyrics.

JB (JayB) was so stressed that he got many nose bleeding, and BINGO!! Y'all saw it coming he revealed in his latest interview that he is going under treatment for *Depression and Panic Disorders* even the doctors asked him how he was living without treatment.
He is now much better, and you can see him smile again and GOT7 are still together for Ahgases, they only left JYPe not Ahgases.

He has the final say over the music his groups release hence why he can make his artists change their songs or reject them even though there's a 10 member board that votes on songs. He gives more freedom to Stray Kids.

You completely left out how JYP forced Jinyoung to go by "Jr" officially, for like 3-4 years because he didn't want him taking any of the spotlight away from JYP, having the same name.
That's not really a big deal because lots of people do that sort of thing and have stage names and are fine with it, but once Jinyoung finally started going by his real name and asked everyone to start calling him Jinyoung, you could see how PISSED he'd get whenever someone accidentally still called him 'Junior' (although he'd try to hide it and definitely wasn't mean or anything), but it was because he'd HATED that name for so long but that's what the boss told him to go by.

Why would he do that when JYPE milks them for the racks they make overseas. 2PM was/some members are still huge in Japan. GOT7 is a global group. Also Stray Kids and Day6. They all bring money from touring internationally without having to be in the korean public's eye. Also GOT7 is a low expense and high profit group. Imagine the revenue. That's why the investors keep asking JYP if GOT7 is renewing their contracts lol.

@@killjadeskye He could have even if it's live. There's nothing wrong with him asking for clean chopsticks, it's not like Mark is being rude or anything. Jackson always calls out the production if they try to do something sneaky (like with the date vlive where production was rushing him to end the live, and he indirectly called them out for it) I know it's not in Mark's nature to speak much, but it would have benefitted him here. They deserve to be called out.
