My cats actually like scented litter and have been using it regularly without problems ever since I had a blind cat who couldn't find his way to the box, prompting me to get scented to see if that made a difference (and it did because he could smell it then). Basically the kind of litter you get will be different based on your specific cat. Every cat is like a person, they have preferences. It's up to YOU to find what your cat likes and stick to that because cats like and thrive on routine.
Already liked and subscribed. My last cat lived to 21 until he had a stroke and had to put him down, he couldnt find his way around, guessing it affected his sight and perception. He had to have a stool to get up on the couch, but if anything was on HIS spot, he pitched a meow fit...lol
I'm totally against all dry food all the time for both cats AND dogs, & I believe it's a "people thing" because (1) it's easier to pour dry food into a dish & much easier to clean the dish & (2) getting wet food out of a can & mushing it up & then having to clean the dish is more work. Yes, dry food is a more people-convenient thing. Also, dry food is much higher in carbs -- a real bad choice as a regular diet. Dry food should be a "once-in-awhile" thing. The great Dr. Jeff TV vet is totally against all dry food & says it's contributing to kidney & urinary problems. And most cats love that "soupy" type of wet food w-the extra liquid. Thanks.
How do yall brush your cat's teeth? Mine wont let me go anywhere near his teeth. He even bites me and goes berserk when I try to trim his nails. He used to be soooo sweet but now he is a jerk lol. (he is 11 months old)
@@CPotatoPlant "Nature of the beast" as the saying goes will most likely determine how much you can do. I've have many cats over the yrs. & my last one (who had to be put to sleep last yr. age 15) would not let me go near her for a # of things. I could not even brush or comb her, had to give her treats to get near her & then she would hiss, slap, etc. & that began when she was 9 wks. old. She also did not like being picked up or held. My cat prior to her was in heaven & looked forward to a long combing sessions. No guarantees.
Sounds like your cat has fully embraced his teenage rebellion phase! 😹✨ Mine acts like I’m plotting world domination every time I bring out the nail clippers. Have you tried distracting him with treats or a cat toothbrush that tastes like chicken? 🐾 What’s everyone else’s secret?
@@funnypet_house Of course I tried the treat thing. But again, each animal is different. And what does it tell you about temperament when you have to bring your cat 1/2 hr. early to the vet so they give it a bit of sedation in order to work on it. But she was AMAZING when it came to the litter box - let me know she needed to use it but waited nearby & watched as I cleaned up a bit, then went in to use it.
@@carolhayar3037 Wow, she sounds like a cat full of personality-rebellious when it comes to grooming but a total angel with the litter box! 😹🐾 It’s amazing how they have their own rules for what they’ll tolerate. Maybe she’s just setting boundaries like a queen! Have you tried experimenting with different brushes or even a fingertip brush to ease her into it? Also, the litter box story deserves its own medal-what a thoughtful diva! 😂
