    In this right handed tutorial, I show you how to crochet a ruffle border onto your projects. This is a really fun way to finish off a blanket or other crocheted items using either the same colour yarn as your project or mix it up with a contrasting colour. Make sure to watch until the end, where I show you how to crochet the extra tall version of this border, too.

    I made something completely obscure, and I needed to remember the basic ruffle. I haven't done it in years. I found your video, and its exactly what I wanted to create. Thankyou for the brush up.

      Oh that's fabulous. It's so easy to forget how to do some stitches. I sometimes look back at my own videos to remind myself 😂. Glad I was able to help.
      What were you making?

      @@ConquerCrochet umm, a cat couch lol. My cat seems bigger than the patterns I've found so I made my own couch platform and then crocheted a cover to match every cranny. The arms are even floofy and soft. It ended up exactly how I imagined it would. It's ridiculously cute and comes complete with a throw blanket and 2 granny square cushions to match. I needed the ruffle for the couch skirt, to cover the tiny legs I built😂. Thankyou for asking, it's extravagant and hilariously perfect for my cat.

    How do you continue around all sides? Anotherwards, the corners?

    • @ConquerCrochet
      @ConquerCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Becky, thanks for your comment. I would suggest doing the dc (uk) base stitch all the way around the piece. When you do the base at the corners, I would chain 3 then carry on to the next corner. On the ruffle row, when you get to the chain space, make 2 tr(uk), ch 1, 2 tr in the same space, then carry on with the ruffles down the next edge.
      Hope that helps, Becky?

    Great video! How would I go around a corner on my blanket TIA

    • @ConquerCrochet
      @ConquerCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Julie, when you are doing the round of dc (sc in US), place 3 stitches in each corner. With the ruffles then with into those stitches as if they were straight sides.
      Hope this helps

    Am i going mad & blind ?! You keep saying double crochet but im seeing single crochets 🤪 . I was very confused and couldnt follow along unfortunately

    • @ConquerCrochet
      @ConquerCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're not going made. I work in UK crochet terms where a double crochet is the equivalent of a US single crochet. (There isn't a single crochet in UK terms). Sorry for any confusion. ♥️🧶

      @@uneasylobes1393 You're not the first, and probably wont be the last. Just know that when I say double you need to think single. I hope that helps? X
