That was a great summary, Eric. I think she has gotten even better over the years because she uses even more of her emotional experience and personal ability to connect through her singing which is even greater than her raw talent and incredible technical skills. Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly".
This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonate, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace.
The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and give his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself.
The classic music piece is globally famous and was translated into a pop song for Lara. She wrote lyrics in english and italian for it and is the original performer.
She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration.

Over the years I've heard many singers (including Dimash) perform this song. When I want to listen to Adagio performed, I go to Lara Fabian. Actually, the only time I've heard anyone perform one of "her" songs (like, "Je t'aime") better, it has been when she did it again.
