It may sound crazy, but i came to listen to Lara, because i was listening to Emma Kok with a cover of 'Voila' (70 million hits on TH-cam). This 15 year old girl sang 'Voila' last year with full orchestra and many reactions said that she was a young Lara Fabian. I love Emma Kok, so i checked out Lara. And yes, i am not disappointed. Lara is amazing and the way she delivers the song is astonishing. It is a compliment for Emma to be called a young Lara. This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonate, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and give his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. The classic music piece is globally famous and was translated into a pop song for Lara. She wrote lyrics in english and italian for it and is the original performer.
