What if This Sora is the way Riku sees Yozora?
I said it before and i will say it again: Sora's new looks in KH4 reminds me a bit of an older Denzel from Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. I really enjoy this style and will miss it when Sora eventually returns to his reality.

It's the worst in the entire series. He is not even Sora. His hair clearly shows that he looks exactly like Noctis.
Visually, yes. But, I hope it's not a permanent look, I want him to be a dumb clown shoes kid again.

A few thoughts, Sora's hair style returned to a similar style to what he had prior to accepting Ventus's heart. Second, I think Yozora might normally look like Sora himself and his heart is residing in either a Nobody that was created during the events of the keyblade graveyard in KH3 prior to Sora time traveling or someone from Quadratum who looks like Riku.
There are some context clues for this
1. Toy story world Rex and Ham almost immediately recognize Sora as Yozora, which given how Yozora looks is definitely odd.
2. Sora comments on how Yozora looks a lot like Riku when visiting the game store in toybox
3. Yozora has the ability to steal the Kingdom key from Sora, an ability only shared by Riku, being the one the Kingdom Key originally chose. I know it's tech based, but it still shouldn't be possible without some connection, I think.
4. Yozora's reaction to meeting Sora seems like legitimate shock at first before he reels himself back. I think it might be Yozora is feeling Riku's emotions similar to how Roxas felt Sora's back in KH2 and 358/2.

I think Sora’s design in KH Remind in his Yozora fight is because it took place in a dream, where Sora and Yozora connected to each other - the semi realistic style is a literal depiction of their respective reality and unreality, meeting.
I think it's more likely that Sora and Yozora connected in a dreamscape rather than that being in the final world on the side of unreality. If it is the case that the graphical change isn't just because it's a new game and the style in ReMind was an approximation of the new look, then it would be odd for it to look different. If the style is the same in the final world as it is in the waking world on the side of reality, the style should also be the same across the final and waking worlds on the side of unreality. Either it's a crossing point between realities or it is indeed a dream during Sora's transition between existence.
Maybe it's his dive to the heart, considering he's existing for the first time in unreality and beginning a new journey. Yozora's presence there could be representative of his connections to Sora, even though they're probably just dreaming at the same time.
The night sky itself could be due to Yozora's presence as well, or it could symbolize several things like the contrast between one journey and the next, the point in which one ends and another begins, the contrast between the two realities, or that this is the crossing point between them. It could indicate the worlds' similarities too since both skies exist as sky, only a different version of it. The change in the sky could be evocative of Sora himself, whether that be a change or progression of his character or how he might be connected to and influenced by Yozora. The journey or character of Yozora could also be depicted here, going from light to dark, or perhaps it means a parallel of not only the two characters themselves but of their journies, and the fact those paths intersect.
I'm inclined to believe it means all of these things, but we'll need to see how Sora and Yozora's stories unfold going forward. It seems to me the meaning of their battle was largely to test Sora's strength, and Yozora's intention to "save" Sora never applied to the current situation within the dream. That would make the most sense given Nomura's statement that the alternate endings have no real meaning. The outcome of the fight was never a real one. The dream would end and Yozora would remain fixed on his goal, all while Sora begins his new existence in Quadratum.
Yozora seems to have projected Quardratum onto the final world so it wasn’t truly the real version of the world.
At least that’s my thoughts
Yeah, it looked like a dream world of sorts?... After all, Sora was sleeping, problably "woke up in a dream", Yozora entered the realm of sleep somehow from Quadratum, and Sora entered Quadratum when he wakes up in the KH4 trailer only.
Kingdom hearts content on this channel is the reason why I love this channel personally!
I still think that sora hair may stay the same when he leaves, because Roxas and ventus are gone from his heart
Interessing theory you mean that Soras Hair actually is closer to his childlike appearence and got Spikyer rhrough the hearts that mended with his and influenced his appearence a bit, like Roxas having Brown eyebrows for example

I think Sora’s different in appearance could do with that he mightve ages and this could be an bit older Sora’s as in the post Game of Remind Riku said he and the others have been searching for Sora for a year and Kairi also slept for a year.
I feel like that Sora’s New Design For Kingdom Hearts 4 ❤️🖤♥️💜 it has a lore with this Legendary Keyblade Wielder/SE Character he might be one of the best characters In Disney’s Kingdom Hearts Series with this Next Entry Installment.

I love everysingle desing of sora but to me it always Improved Kh2 is better than kh1 kh3 is better than kh2 and finally we got the best of his desing in kh4

Havent watched the video yet but Ive always said this, I dont think there is any significance to Sora's look between Remind and 4. I think if Square had the time Sora would have looked as he did in Remind as he does in 4

I really like the new design. Personally, I think he looks more like a mid-to-late-teen Hope Estheim than Noctis (for the record, Hope is 14 in the original Final Fantasy XIII, though by the end of the trilogy he's 27 as confirmed in the post-Lightning Returns novella), but ehhh IDGAS about it that much; it's probably just due to the Nomura design influence. In the end, I like the new Sora for what he is.
I'm not sure if making sora a bit more effeminate was intentional. I don't mind, there are people that are born effeminate, it's natural.

I don’t even think what we seen is even finished. I’m waiting to see more gameplay etc to decide. As of now I’m not loosing my mind over it tbh.
I feel like the design of Yozora in the fight/scene in TFW is different from that in the car ride scene, so "not what I really look like" refers to the difference between those, not necessarily Yozora being in a different body or something a la Xehanort/Terranort. This would also explain why Sora looks different. Both Yozora and Sora may have even seen each other differently, with Sora seeing himself and Yozora in the KH3 style, but Yozora seeing them both in the Quadratum/KH4 style. Just because we see things one way, doesn't mean the characters see them the same way.

Trust me, if they make KH5 after this, Sora might look even more realistic, even matching a proper human's face in a video game. Maybe Donald and Goofy will have realistic designs too.
i really liked the customizations we got for Aqua In birth by sleep 2.0, i was hoping we would of got something like that in KH3 but we didn't so here's hoping we get something like that in KH4!😁

I think remind was a dream I mean it all makes sense that could explain why he has his shoes off. Why would someone just take off a stranger shoes. He was probably in a dream like state sort of like khcom

To sum it up:
1) Verum Falsus was actually a dream that Riku was having (confirmed in re:Mind) so it only showed the Sora that was in Riki’s memories at that time.
2) the DLC Yozora fight did not take place in Quadratum but actually in the Final World where Yozora projected the image of the city, so Sora wasn’t experiencing the physical shift yet.
3) KHIV’s trailer is when Sora is truly in Quadratum and has been there for seven days as Strelitzia stated, so he’s gone through the shift that Unreality gives you.
I think I'm in the minority when I say that I'm not a fan of the new realistic direction the series is taking. Part of the charm of the series was the cartoon/anime-esque style that the series went with. I'm not sure if it's a permanent change or if it's just for this specific world but judging by the fact that we've seen Quadratum before with Sora's original character model it's safe to say it's not a temporary change. It made sense considering the series was a cross between Final Fantasy and Disney, but now it's just gonna remind me of Final Fantasy only rather than having its own identity. I'm just saying KH was a series that worked better with a more fictional fantasy looking aesthetic rather than looking realistic with over the top graphics since that seems to be all anyone cares about now.

Hmmm…this may be a stretch but since Yozora looks like Riku, then could he be Riku’s nobody but have been born in another realm? I mean, Sora and Kairi have their own nobodies, but what about Riku when Ansem took over? Shouldn’t Riku have gained a nobody too?

I always knew that Nomura was planning on breaking the Meta with this new saga or arc. It’s pretty much an uncommon and surprisingly untapped idea when it comes to Multiverse Tropes. The idea that something or someone could be real in one universe but a work of fiction in another at the same time, from a person or character all the way to an entire world or universe itself.
The only instances I could remember knowing this being done already is Adventure Time’s upcoming Fiona and Cake spinoff miniseries involving the multiverse and the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once. That movie showed the idea going both ways; with the events of the movie ACTUALLY BEING a movie (a work of fiction) in the Kung Fu Movie Star Evelyn universe, and Evelyn misremembering Ratatouille as Racacoonie and then showing it to ACTUALLY EXIST in the Hibachi Evelyn universe.

How much percent do you think Nomura and his team are almost finish developing Kingdom hearts 4 50% or 60%?
Realistically, I'd guess 30%, but optimistically, I'd say 50% at best. The game was only recently announced, and while migrating to Unreal Engine 5 may not be super difficult (or at least not as difficult as restarting from scratch like with KH3), it may not be the easiest thing to do either. Plus, I'mma be frank here: considering how packed Square Enix's current schedule is, with Crisis Core FFVII Reunion late this year, FFXVI somewhere next year and FFVII Rebirth on that winter season (thus late 2023 to early 2024), and both DQ12 and the HD-2D remake of DQ3 also still in the works, I really doubt KH4 will be coming any sooner than 2024.

I’m not sure why, but his face doesn’t quite seem like it’s his-I think the nose/eye structure looks more like Hope’s from FF13 and it throws me off a bit
This doesn't directly relate to Sora's change of appearance, but I have a suspicion that the origins of Quadratum may be related to Xehanort and the events in KH3. I think in the original timeline where Xehanort wiped out the Guardians, he succeeded in his desire to wipe the universe clean of both light and darkness and obtain his "new start" using the power of Kingdom Hearts. This new world, clean and pure, void of light or darkness would be the world of unreality, AKA the world of Quadratum. So when Sora abused the power of waking, he was sent back to this original timeline and hence, to Quadratum. I'm just not sure where Yozora fits into this. Perhaps the body he occupies is the body or Nobody of Riku from the original timeline after he was killed by the Demon Tide? In that case, the Foretellers could be the bodies of the other Guardians in the same fashion perhaps.

I personally don't like this realistic style. I don't think realism fits Kingdom Hearts. I miss the more cartoony, PS2 era artstyle.
