Great show thank you.. I bought Thiokol swamp Spryte #040 and will be close behind you on the restoration. Can't wait for the next show and thanks for setting the trail !
Its so awesome that back in the day, you helped pioneer these suspension systems and off roading equipment in general. All these years later, you're a real life testimony to what works (on and off road) and what doesn't. I'll repeat what thousands of others have already said. Back before TH-cam, we only had small enthusiast shows on cable to fuel our passion for gasoline and smoke. You are a huge part of that memory back in the 90s. Thanks for still being here as just your voice and presence brings us back to a much happier and optimistic time. Fist bump brother.
I've been watching you since the very first episode of trucks and wanted to say thank you. Right now I'm sitting here with my son and planning a go cart project - something I learned from you. I'm fortunate enough to be able to homeschool my kids and we've built lots of things together in the garage as part of their education, from repairing farm equipment to building a custom camping trailer and customizing/restoring vehicles. Watching your skill and enthusiasm has had a huge influence on me and I love getting them out in the shop regularly. I had a great career turning wrenches and while I'm glad to have finally moved on, I hope I'll be out in my shop fixing, cutting, welding, building something for the rest of my life.
You have my sympathy for dealing with all those rivets. I used to work in aircraft maintenance. I was not a metalsmith, but I have done _some_ metalsmithing work. Drilling out fasteners is boring and nerve-racking.
Love aftermarket as long as you can find a good brand! Not a big fan of oem i have had so many problems there still some oem i will use over aftermarket especially if its made in Japan or Taiwan have better luck getting someone that takes pride in there work most American made is only American assembled even the omish got on that ban wagon back in the 90s. Hopefully someday made in America will mean something good again!!! Its getting better but greed is too too much!!!!!! Gues thats why i barly get buy i have a hard time charging stupid prices on my work!!!!!!!! Cant wait till the next episode!!!!!!!
The first time I saw the name Thiokol was watching the end credits of the original Battlestar Galactica episode, The Gun On Ice Planet Zero. Or was it Lost In Space? SciFi is awesome.
Those linko torsion axles have a much better ride thsn rubber torsion axles i have cats with both and i like the old axles better if you go rubber you need full cast axles not the ones with press in inserts or your road wheels will develep a lean
Your trying to sell something every 5 minutes in every video is a massive turn off. I can understand that you need to make money, but that's just obnoxious greedy and annoying.

I thought he was actually going to work on that vehicle. It turned out to be a 20-minute product commercial.
