all of those trophy truck sand paddles are made from regular tires. Ground down and paddles vulcanized on. Lets see some legit paddles (same or similar height) some TALL pizza cutters (cause the small wheels kill the look) and a trip to Glamis with some sand limos! Who's with me?
You can put as many bends in a link as you want, what is important is where the attachment points are located. That drag link may have helped against some binding problems, but the bump steer is the same, because it still moves on the same arc.
Just what I was thinking. Doesn’t matter if that rod does a figure 8 if the two points are that far from each other vertically so it’s still going to bump steel when the suspension travels
I’m jealous. When I was 10 we had a 50 Ford truck with a 52 flathead Mercury in it. But, way back then, it wasn’t a cool old truck: it was just a beater. One piece of advice: you want to live a long time & keep all your bits, so don’t scoff at safety. Best of luck!
The shifter mount is one of the most beautifully roadkill things ever. Well, except installing an engine backwards and in the back of an old pickup truck. ;-)
CASE STUDY IN PLACEBO EFFECT. If you don't change the pivot points of your drag link, you're not going to see any difference. I was LMAO watching this episode. I'm sure you did that on purpose.
Yeah I'm sure finnegan assemblies but doesn't tighten that shorter driveshaft before asking for the next shaft.. Then probably never got Tightened and driven on, you can see the metal Flakes dropping on the go pro 😅
I know this is an episode a long time ago, but i think it would be more effective in the long run to cool the v drive with an atf mix so that it does not risk contamination as bad
Will we ever be able to get Motortrend outside the US again? I'm from Germany, always LOVED the shows but got cut off by the US exclusive thing. I'd really love to watch some Roadkill, Roadkill Garage, Faster with Finnegan, Hot Rod Garage and Engine Masters again...
My dad had a 1962 Chevy shorted pickup truck with a four speed and granny gears and a 327 would pull the front tires higher than a 8816 cinder block stood on end...
Here’s a suggestion, why not get rid of that v-drive case and get a SCS drop case that are used in monster trucks and puller trucks and swap out that rear end with somthing from a 1 ton pickup or a gm top kick.
Can't get enough of Stubby Bob!
now if it only wasnt a cut down episode.......
Put some big fatties on the back instead of dullies!!! I think some on the front would look RAD and it may handle better.

Finally a free Roadkill show again!! What an honor to still witness this during my lifetime! 😃
It feels good to have it back
The Like ratio is super lame though. Do your part. The least you can do!
It's a shame that this went behind a paywall. Could have been a global mega show if it stayed free to view.
@@iainmackenzie3704 true.
Stubby Bob's first wheelie was the epitome of ALL cartube channels! I've never been so happy/excited/smiling watching a car build as that moment.
Make it electric!
How could anyone NOT love Stubby Bob?!
@@MotorTrendWatch by making it Electric like the joker above suggested

yeah I was scratching my head when he was explaining the drag link :D
They should have asked tony.
That dog ain't gonna hunt
yeah, all the bend is gonna do is keep the heims from binding. The steering is still going to be the same.
I had to come straight to the comments to see if I was going crazy about this. Surprised they didn't already know this.
It's been over half a decade since this thing's debut. I was in highschool XD. So happy to see it still a Roadkill cornerstone.
Stubby Bob now and forever.
I love that dave wears gloves, safety glasses, and open toe shoes
Youd be surprised how automatic getting your feet out of the way of danger becomes if you wear sandals your whole life.
Toes aren't thaat important 😂
They're his patent-pending safety sandals.
Didnt think it was possible for stubby Bob to be any cooler, Love this truck
We all do!
I’m 15 and my first car is a 1950 ford truck rust bucket and I love stubby bob with a passion

The most mad max thing to come out of Hollywood.
The laughter of a man who isn't paying for the broken driveshaft.
Well said....
And that profile of Stubby Bob on the last run is a poster or a t-shirt for sure!
My favorite roadkill machine! LOVE THIS THING!!❤❤
love seeing new episodes of roadkill! glad they are on TH-cam now.
So happy to see stubby bob again
Bro i remember watching this when i was like 6, im glad to see stubby bob is still working
Too funny! You guys together are pure enjoyment for us knuckleheads!!
Do it AGAIN!!
Mike and David are the coolest duo I've ever seen!❤❤
With full length episodes of roadkill returning to youtube, I resubscribed.
I am always amazed at how hard you two can make me laugh!
The perfect team!
The shifter mount is one of the most beautifully roadkill things ever. Well, except installing an engine backwards and in the back of an old pickup truck. ;-)
Stubby Bob is an old Dump truck.
can't believe you guys redid the draglink in a Z shape , but without changing the geometry at all , just the look of it haha
I know it wasn’t the first, but Stubby Bob will always be OG Roadkill in my heart
"Gronching" my new favorite term
Even had my wife laughing at y'all! Love this show!
You guy's do what We all Want to do
NEVER...stop wif stubby!!
we GOTTA see MORE!!
You guys are nuts! And I love it! Thanks for the entertainment. Keep it up. Be safe!
Love you guys, can't tell you how many nights I went to sleep with an episode playing and dreamed of gasoline powered awesomeness.
Wow inflation is real went from nickel and dimeing to quarter and dimeing😂😂
Freiburger is like a bodybuilder, one arm driveshaft flexing😂
CASE STUDY IN PLACEBO EFFECT. If you don't change the pivot points of your drag link, you're not going to see any difference. I was LMAO watching this episode. I'm sure you did that on purpose.
The driveshaft already knew what it was going to go through so it said I’m not going to do that 😂
Goodbye Stubby Bob we'll see you in another 5 years😂
The ad that played just as the driveshaft made a bid for freedom was some Google product that used the Queen song “I Want To Break Free”! 😂
I have a 55 Ford dump truck it's all original it runs good
I have been watching this since i was teenager, now Finnegan is getting gray hairs theres no way lol and freiburger still looks exactly the same
Stubby Bob is awesome!!
Quit chopping up the videos! We want long format!
Long videos only by subscription unfortunately. Their posting shortened segments to You Tube to drum up sales of subscriptions.
They want you to pay for garbage discovery.
MT is dead
Freiburg is never going to get this figured out. They destroyed roadkill as soon as it started growing legs.
@@fabiodriven He doesn't own the show nor is this his decision. Insane how that has proliferated so much lol
I was laughing right along with Finnegan, knowing that this was a crazy adventure
Please fix Stubby Bob good & proper next time... He is a BEAST
the best roadkill build 🎉🎉
The Z tierod doesnt fix the bumpsteer at all. just the binding ends
Yeah I'm sure finnegan assemblies but doesn't tighten that shorter driveshaft before asking for the next shaft.. Then probably never got Tightened and driven on, you can see the metal Flakes dropping on the go pro 😅
We need to hear the story on the impound!
It’s not often a vw shows up on this show. A welcomed sight
I know this is an episode a long time ago, but i think it would be more effective in the long run to cool the v drive with an atf mix so that it does not risk contamination as bad
They need to take stubby bob to the dunes
Welcome back to TH-cam!
Poor Stubby Bob 😢 MAY HE LIVE FOREVER 🤣🤣🤣!!!!
Thank goodness for trans tunnels
Just got stationed in yuma and wish I would've known you guys were coming here 😢
Cool 😎
Impound? I feel like we missed something.
Did they purposely edit out all the funny stuff F&F say? That's what i like. It's all business now and that's no bueno.
Driveshafts work better when bolted in.
Did I hear that stubby bob was in impound?
There are Paddle tires for that size rims or small enough rims but for the common big paddle tires.
Poor stubby Bob 😂❤
Wait impounded xD what did i miss
MOAR STUBBY BOB!!!!!
Thanks for pt 2
Sick asf...
STUBBY BOB IS BACK!!!!!!!
Stubby bob is so cool 😎
Impound? 😂
Catastrophic failure again , but they met their goal .
Finnegan is amazing as always . Freiburger well It seems to run in spite of him working on it
get er' done!!!
My dad had a 1962 Chevy shorted pickup truck with a four speed and granny gears and a 327 would pull the front tires higher than a 8816 cinder block stood on end...
Bob Rocks!
thats now how you fix that angle of the draglink
i love stubby bob it is the new rotson it breaks with mor carnage
The fastest 50mph ever !!!
Mike looks older than David now.
Omgosh
Honestly, you'd think that after so many years, and so many broken driveshafts later, they would've found a better transfercase for Bob :D
It's fun to break stuff!
Mr "ROSTER " TO YOU BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm curious why you needed a camera on new driveshafts, and why you needed new driveshafts in the first place if your spare was the same
Cool
Here’s a suggestion, why not get rid of that v-drive case and get a SCS drop case that are used in monster trucks and puller trucks and swap out that rear end with somthing from a 1 ton pickup or a gm top kick.
If you really cared that it was going to last that would be the answer but this is Roadkill. the name says it all, it's kind of their schtick
Stubborn Stubby
cooling circuit should go from tank, to heat source, to radiator, back to tank. Most amount of cooling possible.
Missed an opportunity to do a burnout on the street or drift bob with the steel rear tires.
They had a camera on the drive shafts? Were they expecting a failure???
What front wheels are you running? And where can I get some?
Well, you guys are doing a little less "hackery" in your old ages. It still looks sorta dangerous but that`s what makes for good TV.
Nooooo my heros totally misunderstood how drag links and suspension geometry works!! I love you guys, but that's not good enough.
Am I the only one who missed the "getting it out of the impound lot"?
I know its roadkill, but wouldnt some long travel suspension up front help with ride, wherlies and the bendy axle? Just spitballin
Yeah, I watched this episode around a month ago on Discovery+.
Why the month long wait for TH-cam?
What transfer case is that?
Go to scat trak and get some real dually paddles made. Stubby Bob deserves better. And maybe some new yokes......
You drove that thing to Arizona?
Man... where's part 2? Thus ended too soon 😂
Just needs a better looking scoop on it. Not a fan of the welded up scrap fender air box
Seems to me a 4x4 trans and a transfer case would have worked better.....
One of the.
Se guys wears eyeliner. Can you tell which one😅😅
Those steel wheels should have been aluminum plates much lighter.
where is the rest of the show, why the cuts?
