Great review! We have 2 of these bikes & really like them. Separate videos for set-up & performance is my preference, but i just appreciate whatever you do. At 72 years of age, a Vietnam Vet with 6 yrs of military, 26 yrs as an Air Traffic Controller. I can adapt to anything. 😅. Well done, Sir. 👍
Just bought this bike and it comes in Thursday. Loved the stronger motor since I have a lot of hills in my neighborhood. Can’t wait! Always wanted to get back into biking!
I took the front L shape bracket where the front light goes and attached the light to the screw above the front fender. The reason was the light stayed straight and didn't turn with the wheel With turns in the dark is a problem. Now the light shine where ever I turn. Just a thought.
@@jordanspark1754Absolutely you can! You can have the battery installed, but turned off, or remove battery & ride away. Battery weighs around 9+ pounds. We have 2 of these bikes & love them.
Hi there, I like your idea of doing separate videos for assembly and for test riding. Only if this is not too time consuming for. Your life energy and your time are your most valuable assets. If we don't have a healthy you, then we don't get to see any of your great content.
Most People Demonstrate how e-bike ride on flat surface but not hill. that what people what too know. more about purchase a e-bike but your video 4k really look good. thank you
How long have you owned this bike now? Have you needed to use customer support yet, or are all your bikes just used once and then parked? It’s still a lot of money if after a year I can’t use it anymore.😢
Things i don't like are cheap brakes and Shimano shifter, the rear cargo rack is weak construction but can be modded in a welding shop to carry some load as this is what we use these bikes for ,errands, two crates of beer tools groceries and a fat girlfriend.👍
I notice on their website it says you can upgrade battery for $359. I noticed it is a 48v not a 52v. Is this battery actually compatible…if so will performance be affected?
Jst found your video which is awesome. I’ve been wanting a foldable e-bike that is fairly light weight. Perhaps you wouldn’t mind posting a video on how to assemble it. Just want to make sure I can do it before I purchase one. Thank you ♥️
the L20 SE has a true 250 W motor and only 38Nm torque . I do not know if Engwe plans to release the L20 2.0 in EU ( hope so ) , if only for the increased torque and better battery. They should really update this to the L20 2.1 with hydraulic brakes ( or maybe the L20 2.0 pro ) for a bit more $$. Releasing a bike like this and slapping mechanical brakes on it is not really good . It's too much power
I like the bike but I didn't find it that comfortable and I don't like the pedal assist on it. Pedal assist 1 and 2 are good for very slow speeds. When you put it in 3 the bike just takes off almost full throttle. Also the assist takes a few turns of the pedals to kick in. I don't like that either. For the price I'd say it is a good bike. I guess what I'm saying is I'm used to pedal assist feeling like pedal assist. Setting 1 and 2 don't feel like they help much, and then it kicks in way too much for assist 3 and up. The mechanical brakes are just fine, I don't think that is an issue.
5-2 will be a little short for this bike. You might have to hop up a bit on the seat to get it going. I think the site lists 5-4 for height. Check the site for height recommendations.
When unlocking the speed, it seems to only go up to 99 kl which only increased my speed with pedal assist not the throttle. Ho ever there is after the 99 two letters "AO" does anybody know what that does or means?
That’s 80 miles using PAS1 with a light rider on flat terrain. All ebike companies over estimate on this stat. I rode in a hilly area, using only throttle. This is the worst possible outcome when it comes to range, which is why I do it.

Can you pedal it without battery

Just bought this bike, your video was the most informative on this model.
5:01 Wow The Engwe L20 is majestic enough to get a motorcycle wave from the other rider.

Your 4k Video look Better than Video Presentation. awesome
Nice bike, the racks are a big plus
Yeah great price too
That Was Awesome About the hill . thank you so much

Engwe is known to have good customer service. I have worked with them many times over the years.
Great job!
enjoyed the video brother! put ya a ramp at the bottom of hill road for us! bahahaha

Great little bike for RV ...camp ground....
Definitely 👍🏻

It will hurt performance a bit, yeah. Email them to see if they will provide a 52v at the same cost. Tell them you want it to match the stock battery.
What does this mean @@RandyRides
66 degrees....nice!
Yeah it’s that time of year for beautiful rainy weather!

Can you leave the light on the fork brace with the rack on? Like bend it down for clearance?
Not if you’re offroading! 😂
Great video thanks!

I think an Amp Rides bike like that would be cool if you want 35 mph. But expensive. $2,300 for a 1,500 watt bike like this one
Is Amp Rides even in business still?
Do you still have this bike and if so how's the performance now?
Hi. Is there any big difference betweeen 2.0 ans SE (eu version) model?

Are you located in Indiana?
What app u used to put on your phone and the hill gradients readings.

What is the noise level of this bike would you say compared to other similar models?
It’s not too bad. The motor is a little loud but so are most geared hub motors.
I have the same concern. This model sounds particularly noisy. I wonder if the gears in the hub could be lubed up to reduce noise

Great bike for the money!
The Hub buster hill
Hub Buster Hill sounds good. Battery Bleed hill. Torque Snatcher. Controller Killer Peak.
If you set the speed at 99km, why could you only go 28 mph? You should have been able to go 62mph.
Yeah okay 😂
Steep hill....u made it.....
I’m always searching for the steepest hill 😂
Can a 5.2 125lbs rides this bike?

Did you ever figure out what the “AO” stands for?
I don't understand. Their website says the range is 80 miles with pedal assist. 80. Not 19. 😡
