i bought one of these bikes,living on a sailboat crusing the Caribbean islands,this thing should be great for getting around for errands and food plus storage.By far the most comprehensive review on this bike.Lets hope i bough the right thing.
Great video as usual!... IMO, under $800 is ok price for a 52V ebike (especially one that climbs your little dirt hill). Sometimes people have a sad look on their faces when I reluctantly tell them how much my bikes cost, but then I tell them they can always buy a cheaper bike and replace the brakes, add a 2nd/bigger battery, upgrade suspension, etc., in stages that their budgets can afford.
I was going to say you were ripping it pretty heavy all video, I feel like most people aren't riding a bike in that way, granted I realize this is more of a stress test and way for you to review them all and I like this style better because it shows how far you can push the bike if you really needed to for whatever reason. I would say 13-15 miles is probably pretty reasonable for everyday use. I just want to ride it around my little city so this would still be perfect.
No, it's not too long, I'm sitting here with COVID right now, so I'm very bored. You could have made it 3 hours long and I would've watched the whole thing. Either way was a great video as always. Thanks for that.

You could try finding a non-suspension folding seat post. You can buy folding seat posts, But they always seem to come with integrated shocks when I've searched on a few occasions. If there are none, I wonder why? Maybe it's also protection for the mech?
throttle will only go to 20mph as seen in the video. if you pedal at max assist mode you will be going 28mph and get around 1mile per AH which is around 13miles. At my weight i wont get more than 15miles tops with 28mph. if you go slower you'll get better range@@ringofelysiumhomemini7883
Sorry, not about this bike but I'm stuck and need help. I got a Amyet G60 yesterday (first e-bike.) I made a mistake of taking the crown off, the piece with 3 holes that the fork goes through, and 3 metal rings fell out. I spent hours and looked at every pic I could find and I don't see a silver metal ring anywhere. Ones metal and is split in half. The other 2 are thinner black metal rings. Now the steering column jolts forward just testing it in my living room. Theres no info about it in the directions cuz I wasn't supposed to remove it. Does anyone know where they go? 🙏
Do you have a FB group I could post a pic so people can see the rings? Im not in any e-bike groups yet and dont know which to join. I dont know what else to do.
I couldn't resist and had to give it a test run even tho I shouldn't have. Everything works well except for the jolting forward. I avoided the front brakes to minimize that. I rode it to make sure everything else works before I reach out to the company. That's the last resort, I'd rather try fixing it myself first. I can't wait to figure this out cuz that 10 mile ride was fuckin awesome! It was my first experience on any e-bike. I'm so upset I fucked this up 😢
It's not just the perception of speed that brings "why this bike"- questions, -even at 52v, a step-through, vertical battery bike is a bit "out of character" for the channel. Going from night rides on 50mph scooters, its... uh. DIFFERENT! LOL. It's all good. Nothing wring with some variety to shake it up once in a while.
All great until that gooseneck goes snap. Love the inclusion of mechanical brakes. 13ah battery … to the shops and back then? Price point is irrelevant when safety is compromised.
@@Tom-ol5zz really? So why do I have over 3500 followers on Facebook all with issues with their Chinese e-bikes including snapped frames, snapped goosenecks, failing fenders that snap off and lock up the front or back wheel etc. I assume you mean it hasn’t happened to you … right?
@@ModProjects4306 because the bikes you're talking about arent the same that the bike shown in the video. These arent amazon bike or alibaba bikes. Also, 3,5k aint impressive and doesnt mean anything.
depends how your riding you're bikes. i've been on tons of bikes and sold many to friends with these stems which all look similar and no issues. not saying people haven't broke things but also how do they ride and how heavy are they. many factors on why things break
Be careful of Engwe, the welds on their bikes is not too good and people have had accidents riding, where the welds just crack and give way. Look out for the battery as well. Another thing with them is the battery will catch fire because engwe use cheap components in there battery's. It doesnt make any difference if they put stickers on saying everything is certified. Anybody can do that. Just be careful and check any welds over..

I did a range test for this bike.Pedal Assist 3 and 4..no throttle..It went 49 miles...Great bike for a Great Price..

A volt meter doesn't really show that much with lithium batteries. Its not like lead acid batteries. Lithium discharge curve is fairly flat.

This might be the first bike I've seen on YT that actually kicks the throttle off at 20 in Class 3. In other words, the first street legal bike.
All the Lectric brand bikes cap throttle only to 20. What's different is the part where HOLDING the throttle AND pedaling simultaneously limits to 20.
you havent seen much ebikes on yt then. Lectric bikes all do that and many other ebikes do that as well
