Thank you very much sir you’re a gentleman and a scholar. It took me a month to find a video like yours and you’re the only one that does it correctly thanks again
Hi Beto, Honda certainly doesnt make it easy. But I guess thats a good thing. Sounds like it worked for you. Thanks for commenting and watching. Have a great day.
Wow, you dont know this, but you actually helped me and all the people that are trying to find their radio code. The link I had in my video no longer worked. And TH-cam flagged it in my description. For some reason Honda removed that original navicode website and did not replace it with a new one. Until now!! And because of your comment, i went looking again, and there it was, under the website "My Garage". I have added this new link to my video, so it should help people trying to get their radios working. Thank you so much for your comment, and Im glad your radio is working!! You would think Honda could figure out an easier way😄 Have a great holiday season and a happy new year!
I would love to know I have the same radio but I cannot crack the code on changing the calendar year I wanted to know if you had the same issue or you cracked that problem thank you very very much
Hi John, I did not have any problems with setting the calander year. And, unfortunately, we have sold the car, so I cant try doing it on the car. Good luck on the search!
Im not really sure. I wish Honda would have made this a little easier. You may be forced to call your local Honda dealership. I know thats not much help to you😔.
Im glad it was helpful. Ive noticed that the link I have in the description is no longer working. Im guessing Honda decided it could be used by dishonest people. And TH-cam removed it from the video. But Im glad it worked for you!! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thats odd. I just went to the honda navicode website, and it seems to still be working! What year is your Honda? Ours was a 2009. Im wondering if that may have had something to do with it. I would try that site one more time, and let me know what you find.
@@retirementwithpete9859 It's a 2011. I go to the "mygarage" website you have listed. I click on 2012 or older. Then I type in the serial number and hit submit. Then it say's "Data Loading" but nothing happens.
Thats a tough one to answer. It seems that every model that Honda makes has a different radio code sequence. And that changes from year to year. I would try doing a google search of the year and model of your Honda. Hopefully, they all have a similar code search. As a last resort, you can always take it to a Honda dealership. But it will probably cost you a couple hundred dollars. Sorry, I wish I could be of more help. Thanks and good luck.
@@retirementwithpete9859 Thanks for answering, I just need to know, when will it ask for the code, from the moment you disconnect the battery or after some hours when the battery has been disconnected? Is the code immediately gone?

Sir are not alone in this ..I just want to save the environment and salvage a part gps from salvage yard ....they want me to go to a dealer..... Now you tube is always had my back in these matters.
OR... you can call the dealer and give them the serial number of the vehicle and they might tell you the code. It is also, in most instances, printed or written on the original Bill of Sale for the vehicle. If it was a 3rd-hand used car, you may have difficulty. I also learned years ago to always carry a "cheater." A foot-long cord available at any auto parts store for a song. Hook up a 9-volt battery to one end and insert the other end into the cigarette lighter. It's more than enough power to last while you do most single-day repairs. The low voltage won't operate any of the electric functions in the vehicle but it will provide enough current to maintain the memories in your GPS/Radio, seat settings (optional feature) and the way you comb your hair . And the final piece of advise, now that you found that number, put it on a piece of paper and stuff it in your wallet.
Great, we originally had a link, and TH-cam took it down. They said it was corrupt. I hope your site works for you. Honda sure made it a pain in the butt!
TH-cam took it off my video. They said it was not a legit website. Well, it worked for me. But they insisted. Im assuming you looked in the glove box for the sticker, and in the manual for the card/sticker? Im sorry, I wish I could help. As a last resort, you can take it to the dealer!
I just got my car back from the shop and it says error code 1. I'm guessing the mechanic tried so many times that I'm now locked out? No way I'm paying to fix this. You think giving $700 to a mechanic that you would get your car back working how it should? My radio was the best part of this car, 2011 Acura MDX. This is an anti-theft code that I've never heard of before today. Who the hell is stealing stock radios to the point they needed this? I bought this car used but it came with all those different books you showed. Of course the code isn't anywhere in those books or anywhere in the car. The serial # isn't even in the glovebox 🤷🏻♂️. I'll go back to Toyota after this cuz that's how petty I am lol
Im sorry for your problems, but your story had me laughing. Man, what a nightmare. Ive heard you can reset the radio by letting the car run for a while. But not sure how long. I hope it at least comes back enough so you can use the process I used. Dont give up!! Let me know how it turns out.
If you enter wrong code 10 times you get locked out. From what Ive read you have to wait an hour to try again and car has to be running (it says run system for an hour), whatever that means. My mechanic locked me out so I guess I have to drive around for an hour and sing to myself 🤷🏻♂️
I tried the website and got a 5 digit number, called customer service and they gave me a 4 digit number - which of course didn’t work. Now they’re telling me to take it to a dealer to “hard reset” it which is probably gonna cost me $100 at least knowing dealers. How in the fuck Honda made such a simple thing a calamitous pain in the ass doesn’t fail to surprise me
Since releasing this video, Honda has taken the website down. I have no idea why. It was so simple to find the code, and get the radio working again. Im contemplating taking my video down, since its not helping anymore. Very frustrating!!
I just tried the link, and it took me to a website called mygarage.honda.com, which seems to be a honda website. As alway, though, be careful who you give private information to, while on the internet. Do your due diligence!!

You can also find your Vin number on your insurance card. Should you be an insurance holder for that which you drive. 😂
