I think from what i’ve heard, what the Stampede would do when you pulled the trigger is when you pull the trigger, it actually primes its own spring, therefore allowing you to prime and shoot in an extremely short time frame. And without a rev trigger, so for its time, and even now (in my opinion) the Stampede is a very unique and innovative blaster.
i had one back in the day. the problem is the action loosens up over time , and your action starts jamming and grinding darts into chunks hopefully the icon rerelease fixed that.
I feel that if it had a priming handle like the Vulcan has, it would be a lot better, because you wouldn't have to worry about the first shot delay. Also, it would make the stampede so much more fun.
Yes I agree I love the stampede it’s one of my favs and I have regulator to and I love the stampede more than my regulator
Much perfer the stampede system over the noisy droneing flywheels used in modern blasters. Flywheels obviously outperform the stampade but to me, its just a lot more fun to use the stampede and I think that's what matters more when it comes to flinging foam.
@@Lovestone_blind its a more elegant weapon, from a more civilized age. STAMPEDE MASTER RACE!
Frank: today i think we all would rather use a rapidstrike
Stampede: how dare you mention that name to me
Stampede goes super sayan
Mod idea: slap the flywheel system and other parts into a Stampede, enter a Nerf war with the enemy thinking you're ridiculous for not bringing an elite blaster with you, and waste them.
The Rapidstrike has my favorite look of all the elite blasters but I still prefer the looks of the Stampede more.
Rapidstrike did not replace stampede

Should've brought back the Recon indeed. Maybe the Vulcan too while they're at it.

Looking back why not the Nite Finder instead of the Element too
I miss when the recon was continued, I collected them.
They already made the recon mk2

They should have included the Stampede's old grip-pod as well. It's one of the best Nerf VFGs they ever made.
Yeah. That thing just made Stampede a real deal. You know. Heavy gunner
You are inmune to propaganda
the stampede shall finally have the 50 drum it deserved
especially because they have a released 50 round drum design with the titan
They should have given it an N-strike 50 round drum, or just a plain orange one

I think it was clear on the original one but I’m 13 so I don’t know
Titanium Viper it’s true it’s clear,
@@Artemis_X5 ITS NOT A LITERAL THING! ITS A JOKE
I feel like the spring powered stampede was a good idea that, if expanded on, I think would absolutely b better than the flywheelers, mostly because flywheelers have a spool up time, whereas the stampede doesn’t. On top of this, modern day technology allows for the arm 2 b pulled back faster, maybe even eliminating the delay between the trigger pull and the shot fired
It is The better flywheel, but i think The battery would just kill The buyer because of how much rnergy it needs
@@triceratops4227 they could run off 2 9vs in parellel
@@johnmurcott1273 that would give you like 3 shots. 9V blocks have very low energy-density. there is a good reason why the stampede runs on the big C/D cells. makes more sense to use a 3S lipo instead. the weakpoint are the gears for the priming mechanism tho, those are plastic and can easily break.
Man, I remember getting an element for Christmas one year. The gun is nothing special, but the really cool part was that it came with a machine that launched target discs into the air. Hitting one of those always felt like such a huge accomplishment
using nerf darts, it is an accomplishment

Us- hasbro what inspired you to remake these (awesome) blasters?
Hasbro- MONE- I mean nostalgia
longinus cyclone lol
The stampede was truly ahead of its time when it first came out.
In my experience, the things the stampede is best at are looking and feeling cool and one-handed hip fire. The weight seems to be centered on the grip; so despite the weight, it is somewhat easy to use with one hand. The biggest issue I have with it is that i have to find 6 D batteries to get it to work.
Man pumping the Magstrike would be easy for me.
IVE BEEN PRACTICING THAT HAND MOTION FOR YEARS.

Petition for Nerf to make a 50 dart clip for the magstrike
The closest to that is probably the 40-round boomco clip but that doesn't use Nerf darts and air-pump blasters in that lineup only function well with the 20-round clip that they also sell.
The Magstrike's bladder wouldn't be able to cycle 50 darts. There is a weight problem when the clip becomes too heavy.

"This was the coolest blaster ever 10 years ago"
You wanna fight? I'm still salty over the rise of flywheels. Give me more autospringers, dammit!!
Motorized direct plunger systems can definitely have high fire rates and range but are limited in terms of overall output beyond using a stronger spring accompanied with a voltage mod to keep up. Flywheels have the advantage here as you can literally use even stronger motors and better wheels to chuck darts farther.
That being said, I really like that weird feedback you get when firing the Stampede due to the plunger moving back and forth. Gives the blaster enough movement to feel like recoil without the actual recoil effects.
If it's of any consolation, I know Nerf made more autospringers besides the Stampede but not sure what the other models are
@@GabrielIgnacio Vulcan, Swarmfire, Speedswarm, and Powerbelle. Nothing new since 2013, and that was just a slight upgrade to an existing blaster.

Every Icon explained:
1. Element: precursor of Nightfinder and Firestrike. The first true secondary pistol
2. Magstrike: pretty fun blaster, one of the only full auto air pump blaster. Maybe the inspiration for Boom co.
3. Stampede: first flywheel full auto blaster made by nerf. Precursor to the Rapidstrike, hyperfire, infinus... and the base for the legendary Stryfe.
4. Spectre: implemented revolver pistol, first one with the "tacticool" factor. Basically an upgraded maverick.
5. Longshot: big ass underperforming sniper system, but so damn cool.

@@gameshow6672 *hMmMMmMMMmWmmMmm*
Nice
Exactly what I thought
It's a running joke he always says. You all must be new here.
The stampede sounds like a flintlock rifle in response time. There’s a little delay before the projectile fires. Totally different reasons for the delays, but still.
I'm tempted to use its firing mechanism for something else.
As a huge Engineering nerd I have been obsessed with Nerf making a 75% scale replica of the Stampede with either half-length elite darts or rival (or hyper). There are quite a lot of good reasons, even better accuracy than flywheel blasters, they are completely quiet until you fire, they would even give you more shots from a battery recharge. It should prime when you turn it on and again after every shot, to fix the lock time issue and be single shot, not rapid fire. When you have accuracy you don't need to spray and pray. Something like the Nerf Mythic, but in a Stampede skin.
picked up the stampede years ago at a thrift store. safe to say it’s one of my favorites, even if it’s outdated.
I can finally get my hands on the stampede. Back then I never had enough money nor anyone to play nerf with
Right? I remember the commercials where they showed the outline with a date for it to launch
@Paul Martin I feel like the Nemesis is more of a significant game changer than the Prometheus. The 100-round capacity was already considered insane at the time and is still in a rifle-esque format.
They should make an amped up modulus version of the stampede like they did with long strike.
Ulisse Narici-Porter hopefully not as ugly as the modulus longstrike
Ulisse Narici-Porter what is with the jackcepticeye pic
Attijoe Jedi Knight Jacksepticeye is the best TH-camr of all time.
Modulus is a subseries to N-Strike Elite so Nerf would have to upgrade the internals to shoot the average 70fps velocity to match if they wanna make it Elite grade, which you can do by using a stronger spring and voltage mods.
Imagine if nerf brings back the maverick
I actually have a stampede and I remember the mag release being horrendously stiff and I had to grab it on both sides to actually use it. It also never fired right or fast, and literally jammed twice a mag, maybe mine was just broken. I liked the shield doe- I took it and used it on all the other weapons that actually worked.
Imagine coop seeing a flashlight and saying "this light doesn't have slamfire"
"the grip is okay, its made of a comfortable rubber silicone, but the trigger is in a wacky position"
it uses batteries but not flywheel powered :(
