MATERIAL TAGS - How they Work

  • When annotating sections and details you will want to keep your naming consistent from view to view. Using TEXT can often lead to items being called out differently on different views, but MATERIAL TAGS pull the material information and speed up your annotation process.
This works great and is one step short of using Keynoting.
    Give it a try.

Thanks dude. Sorry if this is missing the point but how did you get the dot on your leader?

Seychellian : The dot is simply one of the arrowhead choices. I think Revit ships with just one size, so I duplicated it and made a slightly bigger one. Let me know if you need help with this. :)

Is it possible to justify the text of a material tag? Mine seemed to be coming all in center justified. And I can't find where to adjust it.

Yes.. the attributes of text are in the family when you edit it. Select the text or the tag and then use Edit Type to make it left justified.

How I can upload Material tag family in Revit 2017?

I have found that if I don’t have content that was supposed to ship and load with Revit.. I do a quick web search. I would try searching for ‘Autodesk Revit content 2017’ as a start.
