Ay thanks for watching everyone! I hope you guys enjoy this weeks video! We are trying to get back to Wednesday's release days again but what can you do. We have to watch a lot of animes to make each videos so we are trying our best haha. Do you guys have any suggestions for us? Thaaaanks! - Albie
Snow White’s ability doesn’t just allow her to hear the thoughts of those in trouble, she’s able to hear basically everyone’s thoughts. If used correctly it’s basically the most OP ability because she can escape almost any situation. Hard Gore Alice’s ability comes in second in terms of OPness because it’s literally invincibility.
The saddest part about this series is that things only played out that way due to Cranberry's selfishness. She unfortunately went through a traumatic selection process and instead of trying to make a change, put others through the same horrors.
@@Arrakiz666 true. This is just a battle royale version of Madoka with *another* furry mascot. We get it, madoka turned the happy-go-lucky magical girl genre into sth dark. We did it once, we dont need to do it another 50x
@@BloodyVisualKeiJoker The sad part is that this one has a clever setup and a good promise. Exploring Souta’s character as a male magical girl would have been _great._ What we ended up getting was sooo much less than what could have been done.
honestly i just feel like the problem is that the first volume is the only one that got an adaptation when it's supposed to just be a prologue to introduce it's two reoccurring characters, down the line the light novels really set themselves apart with their unique intrigue
The most messed up thing about MGRP is once you accept the contract, you must keep competing in death games until you eventually die. So even after you become the lone survivor, you must make up the rules for the next death game and participate in it. This contract is a literal death sentence. Edit: Oh, apparently it only becomes a death game based on the host. I just assumed they were all death games because the books only focus on the hosts who prefer death games.
@@Catglittercrafts The novels are pretty much about girls being forced to fight one another for different reasons, like one book was about the girls split in two teams, and first team to complete the goal will live while the the opposing team will die. Only until MGRP: Aces does it turn it into an all out alien war about how the Magical Girl project will be ran. Edit: What I mean to say is: yes, the winner can make it not a death game; however, the host can manipulate it to basically become whatever they want it to be. Cranberry’s game on paper is not a battle royale. It’s a point-based game based on how many good or evil deeds you can do within a week. Fav and Cranberry just created the rules in a way which pushes the contestants into killing each other, like killing the loser of the week, or telling them about the “share” system or giving them “protection” items.
Definitely not this. It´s not even a death game at all, just a selection test gone wrong because of the evaluator's (Clamberry) own interference. Usually selection tests are peaceful, and the "winners" don't get to set another one, they just become magical girls whilst the losers get their memories erased and magic removed without killing them. Even after Unmarked, the events of Restart and Limited are NOT selection tests: one is a VR-ish game made to punish the survivors of Clamberry's tests (organized by a survivor as well and for selfish reasons) and the other one is a dome like barrier set up around a city so a rogue magical girl won't escape magical girl investigators.
okay this is not true, the real selection test is not a death game. Fav just made it a death game cause he was bored then later teamed up with Cranberry, who was a winner in one of Fav's death games, in looking for strong opponents.
The hardcore alice girl in all black is lowkey OP 😭 the fake out deaths would definitely not only wear down the fighter but lower there defenses if they think shes dead
She just needs to always have her hand on how she could transform so when she was getting attacked by swim swim she could go regenerate from the injury quick.
@@desadograisedrobot515 Man I hate swim swim with a passion, Rip all her victims, especially Hardgore Alice, Winter Prison, and Tama man, this is why I believe in the movement of kill the homicidal 6 year old!
@@NerroST Swim swim was just a child with very bad role model in the other magical girl she looked up to. She was corrupted by everyone else being horrible around her. No excuse for her actions and she was not really redeemable, but just something to help you understand why she was the way she is. It's your right to hate her because that's your opinion, but you have to remember she was a child.
On the topic of magical girls, you should totally do Madoka Magica! I feel like the obvious solution is "don't make a contract" but it would still be fun seeing your solutions for the series.
Wait a minute, sixteen magical girls all with unique powers, a black and white animal with one singular red eye communicating to them through an electric device, and they are forced to kill each other… bruh that's just the plot of Danganronpa
the light novels explain many times that a magical girl cant reveal her human identity to a non magical girl or she will loose her powers thats why they told nobody
Until Chad White just drops in casually in her human form right in front of transformed girls, perfectly confident that she can fold them like a lawn chair if they ever even think of coming after her.
well she was evil just because of ruler. she was thinking about her everytime. swim swim probably killed tama just because she saw her real life body. (watched the anime before watching this video)
What's more messed up about this is that the Magical Girl Raising Project incident is just a small incident compared to what's about to happen, as the Magical Girls in the first volume wasn't even filed as official Magical Girls for the Magical Kingdom, and not only that, the fact that Clamberry's death games has been revealed due to her and Fav's deaths set off a lot of a catalyst that will set numerous incidents within the politics of the Magical Kingdom itself, including the growth of Snow White's character and her goal as a Magical Girl being the last Child of Clamberry.
@@exaggeratedswaggerofablackteen The messed up part is that to anyone other Snow White and Ripple, the fact that there's a high kill count in the death games were of no concern of them, rather what's more concerning for them is how Clamberry and Fav was making such games on the Magical Kingdom's back backs. Even the items Fav "borrowed" in the death game was more concerning to them rather than the deaths of the Magical Girls, as they haven't even acknowledged their existence as Magical Girls.
@@Ririckito It's a light novel and the manga adaptation took a lot of liberties changing the structure of the trivial details. Also I suggest you reead the Light Novel from the start, quite a lot of detail like the Land of Magic/Magical Kingdom was lost in the anime adaptation.
I kind of wish this anime would get a season 2. Alot of the stuff in the later novels gets pretty crazy 🤪 and I'm a sucker for magical girls and violent anime 🤪
@@briannguyen6248 nah, it's still ongoing. Last time I checked it the Light novel was in limbo but if I remember correctly it has like 6 or 7 books. The anime was book one with some side stories thrown in but there is definitely alot of content if some studio wants to pick it up again.
Fav, like many villains, likes monologuing, and that can be used against him. What I would do, after the first death, is pretend concern, and ask Fav to talk with me. Come to the conversation appearing nervous, but put a burner phone on to record it all, and ask a lot of questions: the goal is to put him in a double bind where he contradicts himself, indicating that he is lying. Further, offer suggestions for a nonviolent solution, to confirm that what he actually wants is not for the issue to be solved - Sister Nana's idea of forcibly creating a tie with the candies wasn't half bad, but there's other out-of-the-box solutions that you could ask Fav about. For example, Fav mentions the city can't support more than 8 magical girls, indicating the problem is with the city's ability to support. So, I'd offer to move to a less populated area, and were Fav to deny this, we can conclude it's not that the city's capacity is threatened, but that this game is for another purpose, and that he's either a lying sack of shit himself, or a dumbass in service to one. Some of the secondary villains actually are quite smart about this, trying creative strategies to get the candies. Calamity Mary and Magicaroid 44 both figure out that the system doesn't deduct their bad deeds from the good, and that scamming Sister Nana for money or outright being a crime lord doesn't cause reduction in points or disqualification-death. Furthermore, I would not spam-buy all the magic items - chances are, I'd ruin the game's tension by becoming too OP, and the gamemasters would spite-kill me for drama. Rather, I'd go for the cloak and the medicine only, befriend Alice to use as my ace in the hole, and "attend" the skirmishes in the city, picking off the others (probably start with Calamity Mary, she's too loose a cannon, and her magic guns should prove useful) while maintaining the game's stakes. This would buy me time to figure out the gamemaster, Fav - how did he come into the city, what is on his agenda? Research should show Cranberry was the first magical girl in the city, and has not teamed up with many, except for the clearly off-her-rocker Calamity Mary, making her seem suspicious_ it's either her or Swim Swim's group behind this, and given Swim Swim's group just backstabbed their leader, I'd try to kill Cranberry. Sneaking up on Cranberry will be difficult, given her power, but possible. She, like Fav, loves monologuing, so I should try to get an audience - before it, I'd ask Alice to stop her heart, which she can do since undead, and go under the invisibility cloak, to sneak up on Cranberry for a cheap-shot kill - even should she fail, Cranberry cannot retaliate at her in any meaningful way. Furthermore, while Cranberry is a good fighter, she's a sneak and feint expert, not a brawler: fistfighting her denies the sound power's greatest advantages, while Alice can safely take her on melee and I can stay further away and run circles around them, emptying Calamity Mary's magic guns in the direction without a risk of harming Alice. Then, killing Fav will be as simple as stealthily-stealing the magic halberd from Swim Swim's group and cutting the master magical phone in half.
I remember being literally obsessed with this anime I even had my own sona, name was "Paint Starlight" and was able to bring to life (except actual living beings) whatever she drew on her little magical scketchbook She would eventually discover that wasn't obligatory to use her sketchbook, any surface would work so she was able to survive an encounter drawing stuff in The floor with her own blood
I was interested in watching this originally but Koyuki makes me glad I just watched this run down instead. She seems like a great character, don't get me wrong...but not for this series. From this explanation alone it seems like she does quite literally nothing the whole time while the action happens around her. Everyone is carrying and doing actions to create progress and development to the plot while she sits around and things happen to her. She hardly had any automy in her own story. I'm not saying she had to be killed people to be interesting like the others but even Sister Nana tried to talk to the other girls and work together, stop the violence, she did something while Koyuki is just...there. She pretty much just exists as someone for us to follow to watch this epic story unfold as a third party who is hardly involved in the story herself.
Yeah, what other's have said season 1 is basically just a prologue. It wasn't shown in this summary but at the end of the anime Koyuki learns to fight from Ripple. She actually gets so good that Koyuki starts hunting evil magical girls and is given the moniker "Magical Girl Hunter" cause of her deeds.
@@Arrakiz666 Here's what the anime missed, Snow White is the epitome of purity and kindness similar to the girl in Battle Royale. Her acts of kindness inspired certain magical girls to either do what is right or change their previous behavior. For this arc, Ripple and Alice were inspired by Snow White. Even Ripple didn't want SW to see her fight against Swim Swim because she knows SW is too pure for this. Alice, on the other hand, was saved by SW from her suicidal tendencies. She transformed her MG form to contrast SW. She performed magical girl acts with Snow White and still at the end, she kept doing what is right because she owed the most magical girl of all her life.
I found the scene where Nemurin dies in her sleep is very chilling. The music abruptly shutting off along with the screen sent a chill down my spine, especially Fav's voice being the last thing she hears before passing.
In theory, Snow White's ability should be OP as well if she actually used it in fights. By reading the enemies mind she would've not only been able to predict their movements but also become a living radar since she can probably sense the dangerous intent from the other magical girls with her mind reading ability
*cough* you're 100% right. Novel Spoilers: After this event, she becomes obsessed with training to stop evil Magical Girls. One aspect she improves upon is her command over her magical ability, and she hones it to the point she can practically read a combatant's sub-conscience intent and predict their next attacks before they happen. It's not perfect, as there are those who can shield their emotions from her and there are opponents who are so fast or so broken in their own right that even if she predicts what they're going to do it won't help her, but this alone turns her into a ridiculously good fighter. By book 4 she's got a hell of a reputation to where her name carries respect and/or terror depending on what side you fall on with her.
Also, only a young child would fall for the contract at the beginning and older people would join just because they think it'll still be a game. This is also why this contract is messed up -- Either you join thinking you'll be an awesome person, or you will join thinking none of it is real.
That's exactly what happened to one of my favorites (Magicaloid 44) It wasn't even her phone that had the game on it, and she accepted the contract on her friends behalf as a joke, only to become a magical girl herself (since she's the one who signed)
In case anyone wouldn't want to follow the series because of its protagonist, believe me when I tell you that the light novels are absolutely better (new more charismatic characters and amazing combats and unique abilities), and Snow White becomes the best character.
@@Poicyss She can just stay at home or run somewhere. Her parents would be worry but atleast she's alive and if she survive then she can tell them what happened or make up a story
@@thh1226 she can't tell them what happened because that goes against her contract and would kill her via heart attack like it did Nemurin. Also, she's still a kid and probably has no where to go aside from her home. If she were to run, where would she go? How would she care for herself? She understandably felt safe walking to school surrounded by other kids because who on earth would attack a child in broad daylight. She played it as smart as she possibly could I think.
Another issue with picking as many life-taking items as you can is that you don't know how long you'll live, you may die from murder at a young age so taking all these items may put you in an early grave.
If you can’t kill your friends when evidence adds up, you can’t win the death game. And if you can’t think fast against young children, you will die. Very simple take on movie stuff.
I recommend everyone to watch the anime b4 watching this. Also love how Mgrp is getting more exposure nowadays I hope this anime gets popular one day. I love this series
I hope MGRP gets the Danganronpa treatment, an anime that had its niche fans but became really popular later. I just hope to see Pechika, Kuru-Kuru Hime and Filuru animated one day.
i love all of the characters to death, i hope that it’ll get enough exposure to eventually release more animes (i need to see magical daisy, hana gekokujou, and calkoro get animated asap)
Bro this anime lowkey traumatised me as a kid, I got so attached to the characters and when they started dying bro my heart couldn't take it and I couldn't forget it.
Becoming the master and protecting future games and making them fair and not killer is a good option. Heck, if you get enough magic, maybe you could even find a way to save your friends.
Thing is... this 'game' is wholly invented by Cranberry and Fav. The Land of Magic doesn't even know what's going on. They have a totally other means to train girls and most of their girls in charge with training them never resort to this sort of barbarity. Cranberry and Fav were rogues. There was never a need for Fav to have a new 'master', it was just his way of keeping the sick thing going and not being turned in. But the girls being trained here were never even informed about the Land of Magic being a thing that existed because if they knew, they could have called upon allies, ran for help, or reported what was really going on. Instead they were kept in the dark, fed the lie that they were given their powers by Fav, and made to believe they were the only ones.
The only thing wrong with the plan is the gun thing. It is way harder to get a gun in japan than you make it out to be. The public is only aloud to SELL shotguns and airguns and this is strictly for hunters and competitive shooters. There are exceptions like LEOs and criminals, but let's be honest, you're not gonna steal a police officer's gun or a gun from a gun shop bc then you will have an entire police force looking for you since Japan's gun laws are air-tight and if you steal from criminals, you would most likely end up dead in a river somewhere with your tongue cut out or something. This is assuming you don't kill the criminals you steal from. If we are in the mindset of Koyuki, she's not about to kill anyone at that point, sooo... She should start relying more heavily on her extremely enhanced physical abilities to run, you already have a simp ready to die for you so use that to your advantage. Also, gang members have started to deter the use of guns bc a Crime boss was sentenced to death for the use of guns during other crimes, so finding guns on criminals and gang members will be even harder than before. Furthermore, if she is the exact same as her character from before, then Koyuki should know she has the power to read minds, so in the moment when the leader is going to freeze her, she should be able to hear that the leader is going to freeze her and evade OR even better, read swim's mind and tells the leader of her plan to betray her, turning them on each other, giving Koyuki a chance to get away. In fact, she only uses her mind reading a handful of times. If it isn't physically demanding, then Koyuki should have it on all the time specifically listening for anything pertaining to her, her teammates, her enemies, or anything pertaining to magical girls. If she did this from the get-go she could've saved her simp by assisting him in battle by telling him what cranberry's every move will be. Last thing which is an error on the anime's part, I'm assuming sister nana became the magical girl she is bc of her religious views, she would not have killed herself bc in many religions it goes against beliefs that you kill yourself, so killing her off like that was very lazy of the writers.
@@rottenmacaron True, but in this case she was probably picked specifically bc of her sense of religion, meaning she probably follows stricter guidelines, and the game creator would've taken that into account. She is also dressed as a catholic nun when a MG so knowing this, it does say in the bible that suicide is a sin (obviously doesn't say suicide, but it does say you shouldn't take a life, yours or another's, I believe. I can't say for sure as I never read the entirety of the bible, just what I've heard and read myself growing up.)
@@mentrumgaming7541 It's been a bit since I've seen the anime but aren't her and Winterprison some kind of couple? If she did follow stricter guidelines then wouldn't that also be kind of taboo? Growing up Christian my mom and dad didn't take very well me being gay so. And I could've sworn I heard somewhere Nana and Winterprison were lesbians and that's why she killed herself when Winterprison was murdered but idk.
@@rottenmacaron I don't think so, if I remember correctly, and correct me if im wrong, but they didn't know each other until sister nana became a MG, or the other way around
@@mentrumgaming7541 I thought they lived together, alsooo tbh aren't the magical girl outfits just based on their in-game avatar? Maybe sister Nana just likes the nun aesthetic for all we know. There's a whole nun girl bar in Japan as well lol
so what happens in the end? does she become a real life magical girl or does ripple? I feel like if she died her friends would have heard about it. idk I haven't seen the anime does anyone know or have any theories
I’ve been reading the light novels (but I haven’t reached the end so I’m guessing a little here). They both survive the death game and go on to work for the magical kingdom. Basically not every girl becomes a magical girl but instead they go through a trial before they become full magical girls. Usually if you don’t win, you survive but become a normal human, though some of the game runners change things to fit how they think the games should run. Cranberry was their game admin and wanted to find the strongest magical girl to fight and kill so that’s why it’s a death match. Snow White and Ripple then go on to protect other magical girls from their admins.
snow and ripple survived and they both choose their own path. Snow work with Magical Kingdom and training to become stronger to beat more bad magical girls out there and throw them into jail while Ripple more like freelancer where she don't work under magical kingdom and do her own thing. lately the book focus more on politics among the factions and it really interesting series so far
@@OpossumOnTheMoon I was gonna say I recall that Cranberry wasn’t suppose to be doing that to begin with also I think she did it cuz she was bored too and they didn’t know it was happening. So with Snow White and Ripple were gonna check on the rest to make sure it was done fair. But it’s also been a couple of years since I’ve read it too so I was surprised to see it turn into anime lol
@@TheAnnMain yeah Cranberry was bored with the usual process and she just wanted the thrill of beating someone strong. I can’t remember if this was because her admin also killed on purpose, or it was a freak accident where the other magical girls died from the beast.
@@sugomasugoma8935 not the same thing. they’re paid actors doing stuff for children not some middle aged woman who is an alcoholic crazy person who beats their children playing some magical girl games
If I was in such a situation I would be thanking the gods for a such a useful non-combative ability because I have trained in hand to hand combat, and with the added superhuman physicality I would be down right lethal targeting pressure points with superhuman strength while grappling and snapping joints. With the ability to locate people who need help better than anyone else I'd be top of the rankings without worry, and with a sword chick to watch my back I'd be invincible.
What's interesting about Snow White's 'non-combat' ability is that it CAN be used combatively. She just doesn't know it and have the right mindset. Yet. Immediately after this she starts training and then learns how to use her skill to fight and that's when she becomes downright amazing. See... being able to hear the thoughts of those in trouble sounds like a cute ability, good for a Magical Girl that wants to save or be helpful to others. But on the other side of the coin, and when you really break it down, it's basically a fear-based mind-reading ability. And this is exactly how she ends up using it in the books. Whether it's stalking a target and gleaning information about what they most fear in order to prepare ahead of time against them and use that knowledge to leverage a favorable outcome, or literally just keep her opponent scared shitless so she can know their every next move and basically be ahead of them at all times in a straight up combat situation, she basically becomes a Magical Girl you don't want to let get the jump on you. Because if she's coming at you aggressively, chances are she knows everything you fear most, she's got it at the ready to use against you to maximum effect, and as you're struggling, that part of your brain that's panicking is going to be telegraphing your every reaction so you can never turn the tables or fend her off. You throw a punch, she's already out of the way and countering. You block, she feints and redirects to an exposed area she was planning to hit all along. As long as your mind's an open book, she's got the advantage. There are ways to counter her, and much of the draw of the fights in these books are all the unique powers that can sort of cancel each other out or the crazy plans girls come up with to turn the tables, but it's definitely not easy.
@@mgh7634 Exactly, people see telepathy as a none combative ability, but it can act as a early detection method to find enemies or be used to predict enemy moves by reading their minds.
Btw Tama didn't use an item to kill Cranberry. Tama's ability is to create holes and the items that Swim Swim's team had were the invisibility cloak (bought by Swim Swim), the Ruler Blade (bought by Tama) and the pills/candy that make someone stronger (bought by the Peaky Angeles). While tama could have used a pill to make herself stronger she used her power to make a hole on Cranberry and that's why you can see a hole forming on Cranberry's body before she died.
May I say I love these anime series and its like hearing the thoughts of everyone else’s thoughts of it in 1 video as what other people would do if this happened and what is the smartest decisions
one thing you got wrong is with the whole revealing yourself to the police and transforming. the whole reason alice died was becasue she monologued in her head that if others saw her transform she would lose the rights to be a magical girl essentially killing her by heartattack like the sleepy girl. so that's not an option unless you just wanna die i guess
Literally la puselle could stay alive by literally doing nothing. He has the best human disguise and would be extremely difficult to find in his human form
This is a great video! However, my slight criticism of suggested methods to beat the game is the blind spots for the massive information gap of what I could only compare to the political concept of "Institutional Barriers." In this case, it feels like an employer-employee situation: "do what I say, or you lose your job." I don't know where the magical powers came from, but I have a feeling that masters (or Fav) could just as easily take away your powers and lead to your quick death. To be fair, this is not the Channel's fault. None of us are afforded this access to information, that's why I think it's an institutional barrier. Early on in the anime we are aware that some ambiguous magical world is recruiting from our world, which is already a giant red flag. They have access and knowledge of our universe but we don't have of theirs.
Could you make a video on Evangelion? Covering Neon Genesis and End of Evangelion, and making the desitions for the best possible outcome, whatever that might be according to you guys. It would be very interesting, given the circumstances the characters find themselves into and the amount of control the have over them. Plus, your know, Evangelion is one of the classics! Your videos are amazing, thanks for the great content
The series loves doing that, later on in the novels every time a character with a seemingly OP ability gets introduced they die pretty easily. And characters with seemingly useless abilities usually are way better at fighting and staying alive. I guess the logic is the more you rely on your ability to do all the work, the less cautious you are.
I do enjoy this series you guys have thou my one critique is that based off the character in the show so options seem a little far fetched. The guns idea for the protagonist so early on for one. (Granted haven't actually watched the anime) That aside good episode and looking forward to the next one.
i remember watching this when i was younger, i loved it and still do love it!! fantasy and anime was my escape from things, i guess this was my introduction to horror lol
Here are the 3 most important powers you should need to survive the death game in MGRP #1: Return By Death With this ability you are allow to return to an unspecified, unpredictable and uncontrollable "save point", that was set some time before your death. It can happen instantly after your life was taken, there's no lag between the point of death and the point of resurrection, and there is no known limit to how many times you can "Return by Death", making this ability an effective way of permanently bypassing death as it currently stands in. To your point of view, it looks exactly as if someone switched camera angles inside your own head and the sudden influx of new information and sensations often makes you feel dizzy and confused. You can also use your newfound knowledge to save your fellow magical girls from death and even, put an end to this madness once and for all. #2: Time Manipulation With this ability, you can create, shape, move, control, interact and manipulate time, the indefinite continued progress of existence and events that occur in an apparently irreversible succession from the past, through the present, into the future, in the general area or for a specific target in various ways, with the most basic of acts revolving around accelerating, slowing, stopping, and even rewinding or looping it. The range of the affected area is proportional to the mastery of the user, with those at higher levels being able affect the entire space-time continuum. Since "time" exists and flows within "space", the two are interrelated, and by manipulating time, one is also distorting space proportionally. The effects of this relative distortion can vary, however. For example, controlling time of a mere object or person may not affect the space they reside in, whereas twisting the time-stream of an entire region of space can cause the area itself to warp. Additionally, due to time being so closely intertwined with our three-dimensional space, manipulating it might not affect another dimension, such as heaven or hell, in the same way it affects our own. So, if let's say you want to save La Pucelle from getting murdered by Cranberry, all you have to do is freeze time, and take Cranberry out when she's at her most vulnerable state. But, there's a drawback. If that said person is immune to your powers, you're screwed. #3: Reality-Altering With this ability, you can create, shape, and can manipulate reality such as overwriting, erasing and rewriting reality the sum or aggregate of all that is real or existent within a system, just by thinking about it, while a weaker individual are limited to what's "real," stronger ones can make changes from absolutely nothing! Depending on the power of a reality alterer, one may alter something as tangible as physics and the universe to something inconceivable like the metaphysical and logic. The power actually works when the user controls the very existential state of anything depending on their proficiency, regardless of whether or not the entity in question is an object or subject, among so many or most others depending on their power scale. It can range from transmogrifying objects or subjects into something different, altering the laws of reality, logic, and physics, creating things out of thin air, to outright erasing it on the spot. Any scientific or natural laws such as biology, causality, physics, concepts or even time, space, order, chaos - they no longer apply to the user. Yes, a reality alterer can do anything they want. Anything. You can create worlds, erase ones, Thanos snap a few, and heck, the possibilities are endless! You can use this power to create a world where mana is infinite, so that the death game won't occur, or even wipe out Fav, Cranberry, and all of the rogue magical girls that love to cause chaos and havoc. That way, you won't have to worry about who will be next in line to kick the bucket!
i love this guys videos. It is a video but it feels like you’re at school and are best friends and he’s ranting to you about a new anime he watched…….and it is absolutely awesome. Like your parents don’t like you watching anime but he tells you everything so you can still know what happens y’know?
If I was to suddenly become a magical girl, I'd be very confused since the last male magical girls I've seen were the Ribrianne fanboys in Dragon Ball Super and I wouldn't want anyone to witness such travesty in real life.
This channels reverse flash type of enemy is jojos bizarre adventure. It doesn’t matter what these guys say jojo characters come up with the best options and moves during fights.
I just realised that creators of the game made the game because they probs didn't get many volunteers for whatever they were wanting to do. The game attracted people and the creators went stonks.
When an innocent magical girl anime turns into a game of Mortal Kombat: Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, Quan Chi, and Shinnok in a distance: *literally laughing histerically*
It was her nickname, you’re right 🤔. Still, it can be used for ANY virgin girl so…kinda weird/creepy for French speaking people. We also don’t really refer to Jeanne d’Arc as la pucelle d’Orleans in France, not that often, we just use her name so that’s why I didn’t make the connection personally. But good point ! And I hope he chose that name for that reason, that would be rather knightly more than pervy which is always better.
I listened to the audiobooks books on mayhems channel. At some point I'm thinking of buying the actual light novels, and just rereading it. I was surprised at first to see the story continued, and then found out it was still ongoing.
A method of mine is using Winter Prison, Sister Nana and Hardgore Alice to barricade ourselves from the others, since FAV never said about alliances. When the others go insane and kill each other, the four of us destroy FAV and beat the death game.

@@lunartears6761 I can answer that quesiton for you unless you'd prefer to read the fan translations (which are available by googling the wiki). Spoilers: A bit of both. I mean... a part of Koyuki is VERY damaged by what happened. She's not anything I would call 'ok' mentally as she very clearly develops PTSD, anger issues, suicidal thoughts, and a martyr complex. Her personal life is isolated and sort of a wreck. But at the same time, she channels all of this into being a badass Magical Girl that can save the vulnerable and stop evil girls. There's a noble and yet almost wreckless way in which she throws herself toward saving others, to where she really doesn't care if she dies. Just as long as one life is saved, one murderous psychopath is stopped, etc. that's all that matters. Of course, this puts a strain on her friendships because... well people do love her and while what she's doing is noble and heroic, and truly how a Magical Girl SHOULD be, it's also obsessive, lonely, and self-destructive. And the scary part is, she knows and she's okay with that.
Allying with Sister Nana is worse idea. She's actually one of the people enjoying the death game the most. Her goal is to live her fantasy of being saved by her prince. She isn't naively trying to placate the girls for peace, she is intentionally provoking them to attacking her so that her partner will save her.

*Me opening youtube at work. Sees this video.* Ah shiz. Here we go again. Joke aside, I went into this show months after it aired expecting a cuteness having grown on Cardcaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon. Then I ended up being horrified (but needing to see who lived).
there some inconsistency in your resume: I guess you don't want to spoil the story but let me clear them out so spoilers ahead. That item was not a key chain it was a rabbit foot, a luck charm item that boost luck, and as the description reads "can change the outcomes of an bad event if you are up to use it" swims swim didn't send a "robotic nana", it was one of the twin angles who transform into nana, (the one who could transform into any living being) wile the the other twin transform into a knife (the other one who could transform into any inanimate object) and was stabbed by the fake nana directly in her heart, WP was bleeding to death with that strike, she only cold fight long enough to kill one of the twins before dying, Swim Swim cut the arm she use to make the wall, stopping her attacks right there and then. Calamity started killing civilians after Top speed and Ripple manege to get away and escape, she did it for them to return and keep fighting her, she use innocent bystanders as a way to make them come back. One of the twins, the remaining one as the other one was kill by WP... transform into an axe and hurl herself aiming towards snow white but Dark Alice got in her way and got the strike head on. Snow white powers is to hear the anguish thought of those in need. Tama was trouble to kill SW and she heard her, but Tama though she could see her. and chicken out. SW had the luck of a million suns, and the thing is she has a rabbit foot so that explains a lot. Nana commit the unthinkable after losing her love, winter prison, she didn't want to live anymore. maybe because guilt as was because of her the reason WP play the game in the first place. a terrible miscalculation here because after the announcement of the MG to be reduced to 7 and that even though those 7 where under the initial quota was again reduced from 7 to 4, it was not 3 against 1, it was 3 against 4 Ripple, Snow, Alice vs Swim, Tama, Angel2 and Cranberry. The fact Swim went to get Cranberry and not the others was also a struck of luck for Snow, as Cranberry was a very tough opponent. Snow lost it, after she was dishearten of all the death and pain the game has cause her and the others, and said Magical girls don't exist, that they are all evil, but Alice keep insisting there was at least ONE magical girl in the game, Alice was referring to Snow, the only true magical girl. but she didn't get it and just told Alice to stop bothering her and never talk to her again. After that Alice was planing to end her life, because all the reasons she had to become a MG was to be with Snow for being the only person to gave her hope and a reason to live, in her world of death and abandonment. she even made a testament and all that , damn this anime is really is dark... Kyouki heard Alice anguish of not returning the "key chain", rabbit foot, Also Alice could not transform to her magical form as she left her device to do so, at home to go to school. the only reason Swim find her in her human form was because Angel2 transform into her bunny stuff animal when she was helping SM to rescue the victims of Calamity. Angle learn her true human appearance and location. Swim went to kill her in her human form as otherwise will had been impossible to kill. Cranberry power was sound, and cold hear Angel2 heart beat and could identify her and kill her as a rock instantly, in the manga Angel2 transform into a chain to imprison her, but she brake the chains and brake Angel2 body who return as a dismembered corps. Cranberry use a sound wave to knock out swim swim, her body was water so no way to strike her down unless you rend her unconscious. Tamas power was to dig 3 meter diameter holes with only a scratch. once she was distracted Tama scratch Cranberries torso and so made a big hole on her and well... kill her in the most horrible way possible... after the death of Tama, cranberry and Angel2, there was no reason to keep killing each other and the candy count was not important. however, because swim was the master and she didn't want to listen Fav , fav got pissed and fuel the hatred of ripple towards Swim for killing Top speed, and even told her her weakness to get rid of her. Ripple agree to face her one on one. truly Snow white got there late and both Ripple and Swim where dead, Ripple kill her in her human form but was blinded by her blood and use her touch to locate the girls body to stab her before collapsing by her wounds. But her rabbit foot fall near Ripple and this device return Ripple back to life and stop the bleeding. Snow withe heard the anguish of Fave seeing ripple return back and was clutching the magic sword "ruler" as that magical weapon could easily brake the magical core device. And snow white hear it and so ask Ripple to brake it. killing Fav once and for all. or maybe only the mean to communicate? Last to clarify the rules, the original rules stated that after a magical girl quit the game, or was dismiss, their thought was to be erased of ever being one and continue living a normal life, however! cranberry after turning into a master set another rules which fav was delighted with; cranberry only wanted to fight the strongest magical girls, and being the master she could do that twisting the rules to her convenience, was because Cranberry this game turn to be a blood bath death game. and once she die that rule was , overrule, however Fav wanted to continue with that and ask Swim swim to read the rules, but she was not interested, isntead priories to do her home work over playing. The reason Fav went to ripple to make her kill Swim swim saying she was "crazy", when the fact was she was a 7 year old child who saw all this as a game and a way for her to become a princess like Ruler was. So in resume, the way to win this game was to kill the master and change the rules as they was before so nobody gets hurt.

The saddest part about this series is that things only played out that way due to Cranberry's selfishness. She unfortunately went through a traumatic selection process and instead of trying to make a change, put others through the same horrors.
The saddest part is actually that the author decided to run things this way instead of doing anything remotely interesting with these characters.

Not true. The new winner can make it not a death game. There’s nothing saying you have to make it a death game.
@@cr0-okedglasses814 damn this series is even more messed up. Then again this makes it sound like a magical version of danganrompa.

That is, in fact, exactly how it feels. Minus the “epic” part, nothing about this story is epic, it’s just gratuitous.
To be fair, this is just the first book which is effectively a prologue for her. She and ripple are appear again a lot for various reasons.
Oh trust me, she becomes a better character after this arc
Novel Spoilers:
After this event, she becomes obsessed with training to stop evil Magical Girls.

I'm sure there have been religious people that have turned to suicide before
@@rottenmacaron True, but in this case she was probably picked specifically bc of her sense of religion, meaning she probably follows stricter guidelines, and the game creator would've taken that into account.

@@kyotokiranami so book is not just focused more on games(like, death game as core.subject)???and from here should I start based on this summary??
Hardgore Alice was such a badass in this show. Something satisfying about watching someone tank everything coming at them.
Moral of the story, if the cute mascot is black and white that means you've joined a death game. Just see Danganrompa's mascot.
I'm shocked that not all of these girls are children, a magical girl game is a game AIMED at kids so the maker is SICK AS HECK

@@larunha I mean it’s the same thing with power rangers and Disney adults yk
@@sugomasugoma8935 not the same thing. they’re paid actors doing stuff for children not some middle aged woman who is an alcoholic crazy person who beats their children playing some magical girl games
Thats probably a goal, the younger the better since they'll develop the proper skills better.
even though he says that the items may not take years off our lives( 15:40 ), the game did also turn us into IRL super humans, so I don know...
See if I was a part of this…. I would survive thanks to you guys
He kept switching between male and female pronouns for La Puacelle like he was Scott Cawthon talking about mangle’s gender 😭
La pucelle genderfluid icon
Real
"She increase the size of her sword and bang the tower"
Huh, never thought I would hear those words
Definitely very *SUS*
no one gonna talk about how that guy got turned into girl when he tranforms
sounds like a win to me
Could you make a video on Evangelion? Covering Neon Genesis and End of Evangelion, and making the desitions for the best possible outcome, whatever that might be according to you guys. It would be very interesting, given the circumstances the characters find themselves into and the amount of control the have over them. Plus, your know, Evangelion is one of the classics! Your videos are amazing, thanks for the great content
Alice was so OP but they did her like that, she was competing on a death battle with her literaly not dying ability. How OP is that??
The series loves doing that, later on in the novels every time a character with a seemingly OP ability gets introduced they die pretty easily. And characters with seemingly useless abilities usually are way better at fighting and staying alive. I guess the logic is the more you rely on your ability to do all the work, the less cautious you are.
Tama’s and Hardgore Alice’s death got me saddest the most :(((
One of my favorite anime 😍
Done reading all seasons ❤
Still hoping for the rest to have their own anime adaptations!
Here are the 3 most important powers you should need to survive the death game in MGRP
#1: Return By Death
With this ability you are allow to return to an unspecified, unpredictable and uncontrollable "save point", that was set some time before your death.
#2: Time Manipulation
With this ability, you can create, shape, move, control, interact and manipulate time, the indefinite continued progress of existence and events that occur in an apparently irreversible succession from the past, through the present, into the future, in the general area or for a specific target in various ways, with the most basic of acts revolving around accelerating, slowing, stopping, and even rewinding or looping it.
#3: Reality-Altering
With this ability, you can create, shape, and can manipulate reality such as overwriting, erasing and rewriting reality the sum or aggregate of all that is real or existent within a system, just by thinking about it, while a weaker individual are limited to what's "real," stronger ones can make changes from absolutely nothing!
Oh yeah the powers of god sure would be handy
@@somedragonbastard Yea, definitely. Sadly there's no magical girl in the series that doesn't have that power yet as of now.

If I was to suddenly become a magical girl, I'd be very confused since the last male magical girls I've seen were the Ribrianne fanboys in Dragon Ball Super and I wouldn't want anyone to witness such travesty in real life.

IKR ?! It isn’t surprising that it’s a guy who chose this as a name -_-
Wasn't that Joan of Arc's nickname? It's probably a reference to her.

Spoilers:
A bit of both. I mean... a part of Koyuki is VERY damaged by what happened.
Aren't we gonna talk about how Fav looks like Monokuma?
Glad i wasnt the only one who saw that similarity 😅
Omg I started watching this as a kid but never finished it thank God
Allying with Sister Nana is worse idea. She's actually one of the people enjoying the death game the most. Her goal is to live her fantasy of being saved by her prince. She isn't naively trying to placate the girls for peace, she is intentionally provoking them to attacking her so that her partner will save her.

Ah shiz.
That item was not a key chain it was a rabbit foot, a luck charm item that boost luck, and as the description reads "can change the outcomes of an bad event if you are up to use it"
swims swim didn't send a "robotic nana", it was one of the twin angles who transform into nana, (the one who could transform into any living being) wile the the other twin transform into a knife (the other one who could transform into any inanimate object) and was stabbed by the fake nana directly in her heart, WP was bleeding to death with that strike, she only cold fight long enough to kill one of the twins before dying, Swim Swim cut the arm she use to make the wall, stopping her attacks right there and then.
You killed me at 10:13 about the guns😂😂😂
