The time traveler teleported over frozen water into the past. But in the past, the ice wasn't frozen. So upon teleporting above the water's surface, he immediately drowned due to the fatigue of over-exerting his power. Then ice man came later on and froze the lake in the sparring match. Damn I was hard pressed on how she’d get him but I was seriously impressed with how she did it too. She was carful and deceptive to such an extreme degree. even when put under the spotlight she deflected suspicion, brought up irrefutable proof proclaiming her innocence or someone else’s involvement. To say it was all just the gullible nature of hers classmates and not the product of her own efforts, seriously downplays her efforts and ability.
The big mistakes here: People constantly wanting to handle Nana on their own. And the 'heroes' doing monologues about their powers and weaknesses. Silly kids.
To be fair Nana basically talked the information out of them, plus they thought that Nana could read minds so she just leaded the conversation on certain ways so the other assumed she had read their minds and knew the stuff already so they just said it thinking "she knows already so whatever, I'll just speak", plus roling as the cutesy innocent girl helped a lot xd Also a lot of times Nana analyzed the weaknesses on her own so she had already a lead
She got away with all those murders with such ease and she marinated that 1 girl. She must have watched toast among us videos before going to the island
What I noticed about this is that everyone is telling their weaknesses and their power to each other… What they should have done is not tell people about powers and weaknesses because that’s a disadvantage on them
Annoyingly gullible characters aside (which is pretty much the main thing that makes people go brrrrrr on this anime), Talentless Nana has the potential to be a good anime if it isn't already decent. It's just sort of amusing to watch her commit the murders and how most of her ways actually make sense (ignoring the gullible classmates lol) The plot twists are also actually really good if the watcher's hate isn't overshadowing them
I think the main issue is that it's really not a manga/show about following a cunning anti-villain who is always 8 steps ahead, it's just not good at communicating that especially to an audience that expects it. I think the short of it is that it's the thematic equivalent of watching someone roll a snowball down a large hill. She starts it off thinking she's doing needs to be done thanks to her childhood, then when she realizes she's wrong it's already so far out of her hands all she can do is struggle meaninglessly. I love the anime and the manga after its events because I love the tragedy of it all, and I love seeing female characters who get to be fucked up in a sympathetic way. I think the main issue is 1. The anime only lightly touches on her realizing she fucked up in the last few episodes, so everyone tries to enjoy it in a death note way and it's annoying when the stupid egotistical unsupervised teens are stupid 2. the side characters aren't well written enough for many people to latch onto them in a way that might help with understanding things. If you didn't notice, a lot of the actual fans of the show who aren't just watching because they hate to see a girlboss winning (😞) really focus on the tragic homoeroticism between Nana and Michiru, because watching it for that kinda tragedy is more enjoyable than watching for mind games. Also because like me they're more likely to have been watching for nana's angst already instead of mind games that the show isn't the best at
Nana isnt some criminal mastermind, everyone is so stupid and guillable. Nana clearly should have lost so many times, but didnt. I dont think its a good anime at all.
@@molluscumlore Nanao might negate Death since he negate Time Reversal with his Evolved Talent, and assuming the Saeki Shizuka fought Nanao and she lose. Nanao would be so Overpowered, he'll be combination of Kumagawa Misogi and Touma Kamijou, but weaker version.
Actually the time travel guy fell in to the lake because he went back in time before it was frozen and he appears in the same spot he was standing. Nana move some dirt over the ice to make him think he was still standing on the shore before a teleported back in time
The thing of the lake is that it wasn't frozen the night before, it was water and, in the ice's guy exhibition of his skill, he frozen the lake. So he teleport to the past, when the lake was still water, drown cause of the extreme exhaustion and the mornings after that, the ice guy freeze the lake, with the body underwater. She only have to take the guy to the lake and cover it with earth to the guy doesn't notice it.
@@RoseMagpie The guy's point was that people who drown float back to the top. His body should have been found when they did the exercise because it would have floated.
Wow, it is as if these kids WANT to die. All these amazing powers and they can't stop one little assassin. That is as unbelievable as the entire Marvel universe being unable to save Aunt May from a normal gun shot.
These kids got seperated from the outside world, are told that they are the best thing since sliced bread, only interact with other kids that thing that they are the best thing since sliced bread and only learn that they need to fight against overpowered monsters and protect the helpless lame normos. They are raised to believe nothing especially no human could harm them, thats why Nana has a easy time.
Also, everyone who keeps saying they are uber gullible you have to understand they are 'kids'. Maybe middle-schoolers or high-schoolers. They have had very little experiences and have had very little time to develop ways to think things out. Plus they have been hyped up to be saviours of humanity against unknown forces. When you are overconfident it clouds your judgement. This is why for example you see the adult super, tachibana being able to reach a stalemate with nana. Here nana is different becoz she has been trained almost her whole life for this situation along with maybe having very good intellect in the first place. Sure there have been some small plot holes here and there. I didnt quite like how the healer girl was so overly trusting of Nana to the point where she didnt care Nana was the killer. But all in all, considering the world and the situation it is a pretty good and enjoyable story.
Exhaustion + apearing above a **yet-to-be** frozen lake = falling in imediately + weakened physical ability to get a grip and get out = high likelihood of drowning
He can only teleport through time, not space, right? Even if he could swim, he was exhausted when he fell in. If he used his ability instead of swimming, he'd still be under the ice. The moment he went back, he was dead.
i think it would've been easy to assume from the get go that this "alien thingy" is the new student who just so happens to appear right after teacher mentions the alien. Like bro, it's obvious who the alien is. No one would've died if you attacked her from the start.
Honestly this. We get a new student and people suddenly start dying, also there is an alien threat that no one has seen yet. Yeah I would assume it's infected the new girl
"Hi!~ now that i know you can guard me, wanna help me murder evveryone whos now showing you respect? The goverment lied about the 'E-o-H'being monsters cuz Talented human are the real threat and i was sent to assasinate the next generation. Cool right? Letsa go!
Maybe he wouldn't want to kill his schoolmates. I mean, he was also brainwashed to believe, there were some creatures only them could beat. That would make the world to their enemy and the chance telling the truth to the other is really big considering his stand in the group after they found out he can do that.
This anime has potential and I’ve heard the story gets way darker. I was surprised that Nana was an assassin. She looks so cute. Anyway, this series is like watching Among Us through the view of the imposter. I don’t see many anime series with an “antagonistic” MC, so this is refreshing.
Dolorian dont kid yourself only L was a IQ competitor for Light everyone else was was dumber meaning light could outsmart them until the top two started working together.
I would tell Nana to use her mind reading powers to search for the "Enemy" bc she always says that there's one on random moments which means she could tell apart a human and the threat, if she says no I'd say that it's the purpose of why we're here
@Krystel Iris de Castro How stupid..The point is to catch her lying about her powers, her lying and denying will make it easier for her to get find out
Another idiotic comment from somebody who doesn't know what they're talking about. Nana has no more "plot armor" than any other goddam anime protagonist, but since she's a girl it's bad? Come on sexism much? If you were paying attention you would know that Nana has been trained by professionals to do what she does. She has been trained to manipulate people into showing their weaknesses since that is what she was trained to do. Unlike a bunch of bullshit protags who are magically able to protect themselves with no training or who just gets way too lucky Nana actually uses her brain to find a way out of her situation, and she doesn't always succeed either we've seen it several times in the series, so tell me again how thats "plot armor"? And the others being arrogant ain't plot armor either because thats Literally the goddam point lmao, it was mentioned several times in the series if you bothered to pay attention that people with these powers tend to become Arrogant and rely on them too much, and it doesn't help that no adults step in to teach them different. Nana wins most of the time because she does not relay on powers arrogantly unlike most of the rest of the cast. You are just another person pretending you know anything about writing and throwing around words like "plot armor" when you have no idea what it even means, makes me wonder if you're more dense than the cast lmao. Delete your embarrassing comment bro
10:22 I have 2 notes so far. 1- the time-traveler didn't go back in time under the lake, he went back in time above the lake but since it wasn't frozen he fell into it and drowned since he couldn't swim and was exhausted. 2 - the immortal didn't lose his sense of smell from his power. his lack of smell is completely unconnected
I really enjoy listening to you ramble on about how the protagonist could've made better choices while I draw, really enjoy these videos. Call me weird but they calm me down, the way you provide a logical explanation for everything just satisfies me.
The foresight dude had a chance to save his classmates yet he wasting it. He could had give the pictures to that immortality dude and tell the truth. He got a stupid death same as necromancy girl. If I were her, I would use the time to call other classmates especially the Immortality dude and air girl to help. Second, just kill her off like breaking her leg or arm to avoid her from running away. Third, don't be overconfident and stay alert. We still doesn't knew what her power is... And the poison girl is had a stupid death too, how about when you about to die. You at least bite her or anything that can transfer venom to her body, at least your death is worthy.
Remember the characters of the show are overconfident because of their talents, So they feel like they're above "normal" humans to begin with so its pretty natural that the kids to be THAT confident (especially the foresight guy)
The future teller do not care about his classmates, he just wanted to have sex with Nana, that's why he blackmailed her. His power also makes sure that no matter what, everything that is in the pictures will always happen, so even if he tried to show those pictures to anyone, chance are fate will just interrupt and he will still end up in the shed anyway. That's why he tried to get some "pleasure" out of it instead of telling the other people. Nana also makes sure that he will never tell anyone else by taking the fake picture of her being dead , believing in the photos too much, he of course will not want anyone around when he try to rape and then later kill Nana too.
@@ucnguyen6375 To me, it's dumb for him to have that power. If he didn't care about his classmate, can't he just kill Nana before she did. He have that ability and can predicted what will she do.
@@Rramune_illuz His power is predicting fates, and you knows, in this universe fate is set in stone, everything that his photos showed will always happen , no one can change that, right. He literally showed a photo of him nearly being killed by Nana when his watch point at 10 pm inside a storage in a full moon night. So of course Nana need to be alive until all of these conditions above are fulfilled for that photo to come true, otherwise it would not have been fate . That's why he had to wait for that exact day, after seeing the fake photo of Nana being dead to kill her, killing her in any other time will never work . And in fact this guy is quite smart when he fulfil a condition himself by changing his watch 's hands to make them point at 10 pm just to caught Nana off guard.
@@Rramune_illuz also he can only knew what his photos showed him, he had no control on what he can see, it is a hard limit of 5 random photos showing some events in the future a day
@@artblock3539 yeah....... I understand why someone may find the perv and the necrophiliac's death satisfying but there is no reason to find Nanao and the second dude's death satisfying at all unless you really really hated them because you find them annoying which isn't really justifiable . I actually really feel bad for them especially the second guy. In the manga he is basically forgotten whereas with Nanao, Nana ends up really regretting killing him since he in her eyes was the only innocent victim of hers (forgetting this guy even existed).
I'm surprised she didn't give up upon the realization that there is an invincible kid there. Even the shapeshifting dude is almost impossible to kill as he can just shapeshift any damage away, unless you obliterated him.
10:15 actually, his lack of sense of smell isn't actually the payment for his ability. It's something that he was born with. He stated that he was thinking the actual payment for his immortality at that moment and if Nana was actually a telepath, then she would've known it.
Ngl the Future sight kid would have ended the series with few episodes if he told everyone that Nana is the killer and not becoming an idiot by making the killer become his servant
Exactly that's why I got cringed by it. Why does it have to be a scumbag who gets Overpowered abilities? Instead of someone who's actually smart like our boi who's immortal that guy has an IQ of a detective for crying out loud😆
@@Kiwi-en7wz ngl immortality is definitely far better than future sight in this case. His ability only gave 5 images of a scene afterall, not guaranteed to live
Amazing video man, thought it would be some generic hyper upbeat one like most other videos covering anime but I was pleasantly surprised. Well researched, good humor and overall good quality. Plus it's about a relatively unpopular anime, while most other people covering anime usually stick with the most popular shows because clicks. Well done.
Bro the shapeshift power is op, that guy turned into the invincible dude and lived the spiked drink, and then was even able to use somebody else’s powers, bro that’s literally too op.
Why didn’t the invincibility dude just allow Nana to die? If he suspected her to be the murderer why didn’t he just use that kid to get rid of her? Since the girl wouldn’t have been able to heal a dead body. While yes the blonde kid would have likely gotten into trouble however Nana would be gone and soon so would he. After all he had many chances to just get rid of her, not like he can get hurt by anything {As far as we seen. Plus quite frankly if half the other students haven’t caught on that she been doing that quite a bit than he doing them a good favor}
@TwojaUlubionaRyba No not the spirit guy the literally guy who ate a explosion to the face 💀 He could have let blonde kid kill her and would have been gone with her, if his goal not get rid of her than what is it? The longer she lives the more people that could die, and the bigger risk of her finding out your powers limits and killing you ass well. Sounds cold blooded but I would have let blonde guy kill her. Two Murderers out in one stone.
Because the immortal dude want to play by the rule, he want to capture the murder with evidences and proof, not doing a "And then there was none" or "Lord of the Flies" with another human being, which is basically what happened on that island before, students killing each other after someone committing murders
Invincible dude (Kyoya) didn't know the ghost man was actively stabbing Nana. He correctly found out the different killer of a student, ghost boy, and prevented him from doing more harm while he saw the dude trying to inflict malice on *someone.* Was just bad/ good timing that it was Michiru/Nana he was attacking
Case Kyoya wasnt playing the same game as nana if he got her killed the enemies of humanity would just send another agent due to the collateral of Kyoya's immortality he probably wanted to expose the conspiracy through nana first before too long as passed, this is why he finds the school's reaction to dissapeared and dead students a bigger deal than the actual perpetuator.
It's cause the immortal detective doesnt care about the murders he cares more for the conspiracy behind the island as he cant be killed he ends up being more incompetent than characters that can die and thus having more stakes on the plate.
This show is so good, even with the ... convoluted manner of the murders for the plot's sake. I caught up on the manga because it hooked me so bad and the tension never gives out. It's so good.
The grandfather paradox is resolved with parallel timelines, but it's hard to change fate just like if you do math right it's hard to get to a different answer. Schrodinger's cat implies the universe always fulfills events with whoever can play the part, so Nana would have killed or be killed in nearly every scenario but the end of the story would still end as fate intended.
Season 2 is going to be so crazy. After season 1, everything in the manga gets so much more intense. I wonder how they are going to handle the twist at the end of season 1.
The biggest weakness these kids have is that they are far too confident in their powers. They don't consider their powers ever failing and it leaves them vulnerable.
Wait how is the ability deactivation talent something that can erradicate thousands of people? also both blackmail dude and necromancy girl were so overconfident and stupid it made me start rooting for nana and i hope she wins at the end
That plunge into water, I need someone to actually execute the survival technique he suggested (don’t do the plunging into water or the jumping off a 180 ft cliff lol)
time trawler was in same spot but in past lake wasn't frozen and his power need him to take a breath to go back to present time , he cant swim and cant go back that was her plan
The gullible trait with the classmates could have been fixed if her ability allows her to make them more gullible as well as read minds. It's a dumb simple fix that has the counter of not interacting with her. This can make her power over powered if she can isolate her targets which she does very well and would have justified her first kill because he has the best counter against her nullifying her mind reading whilst her gullible power as well. You could use this as a head canon of sorts to make this easier to watch.
I met a female psychopath and it shocked me that people were so gullible. Even warning people and pointing out the things she did, didn't convince them. They always tried to rationalise her bad behaviours. Why? Because she was cute, had class, was an excellent listener and overall real fun to be around! I actually made an allusion to her state and she didn't even deny it! She wasn't offended like any normal person would be. She was more like _So what? No one will believe you._ PS: Nana is not a psychopath but a sociopath. She does feel fear, regret and occasionally empathy, albeit to a very limited degree.
They'll be gullible (the boys at least) case she's cute thats about it these are horny beta teenagers in large majority for crying out loud only sigma male around is immortal guy and ungullible Chad of the class only appears a bit later in the story.
I don't think it's hard to beat Nana. The supers are already fighting at an advantage and Nana is the one who needs to use her guile to even stand a chance at beating them. Just... Don't believe anything she says, and they win.
It's underrated because the author makes everyone dumb and not nana like. Why tf the school not suspicious of her and there's alot of things that's so wrong with people brain in this anime.
How to survive talentless nana? Have a power so useless that when Nana's phone reveals the estimated kills of yours truly. She will begin to question everything; and I mean everything. How can you kill if your powers is to literally become a stuffed toy and your weakness is that you can NEVER do harm to others.
Wait they’re standing on top of the frozen lake here 6:27 that makes so much sense I finally understand his death, Thank you so much I’ve been confused about his death for days Explanation since the lake wasn’t frozen yet he fell into the water but he thought he would land on the ground since nana throw some dirt on the ice earlier
I dont like how much plot armor she has, i mean every anime has it but irl they would realise that when new student arived and 2 disapered in short period of time that she killed them
10:19 lil spoiler!! In the manga, kyoya has revealed that his memory is limited (the price for his immortality) to only 2 years, so he writes in his journal so he wouldn’t forget
4:15 You could angle your body so that the momentum can actually be used to get you away from the Cliff face tip form people who dive in the shallow end of pools It’s like this a straight arrow will shoot straight an an arrow that is bent well doesn’t go straight and if you’re diving off of a cliff and you hold your body straight you’re most likely going to dive deeper into the water
For the camera bastard, what nana could’ve done if she was quiet enough to hear footsteps, she could’ve cut herself with the end of the needle that DIDN’T have any poison, then stage a scene where it looked like camera bastard was trying to attack her. She could then say he was possessed by an enemy of humanity and she had to kill him in self defense. Not a guaranteed solution but, just a thought!
obviously it does? Nana is still a human after all. She has feelings. And shes not just here to kill them, she genuinely thought the other students were evil enemies of humanity at the beginning. Michiru was the one who basically healed her past trauma, so why wouldnt she get attached to her?
The reason the time traveler guy drowned was because when he was in the present the lake was frozen over because of the ice dude but when he traveled to the past the ice dude hadn’t of frozen it yet so he drowned
I did a cliff dive from about 80 or 90 feet. I managed to cross my legs in time and i knew to clench so i wouldnt get an forced enema but because i had to jump from a precarious position and basically clear a tree to jump off, i didnt quite cross my arms over my chest properly and bruh. I legit almost drowned because my inner bicep of my right arm smacked the water so hard it immediately turned into a bruise. I had a grapefruit sized lump form over the next few days and it basically bruised my entire inner arm a deep plum purple color.. the force on the bottom of my feet made it tingle so badly it felt like pins and needles.
He might trust Nana but he's not that ignorant you know, he'll figure out that Nana is suspicious if she's always around murder scenes and him being there kind of helps her survival against other talented people
Why would you want the help of the guy that was going to have one of the biggest kill count? Like he was going to become their boss, the one that would unite them all on his wing, of course he needs to go first.

Also a lot of times Nana analyzed the weaknesses on her own so she had already a lead
She got away with all those murders with such ease and she marinated that 1 girl.
She must have watched toast among us videos before going to the island
That is literally so accurate 🤣 He annihilated everyone when he was the imposter!!
What I noticed about this is that everyone is telling their weaknesses and their power to each other… What they should have done is not tell people about powers and weaknesses because that’s a disadvantage on them
Why would they do that? They believe they're all working together knowing how each others powers works will help with that.
@@some_shitposting_idiot3023
I wouldn’t say your allergic to peanuts when a serial killer could be in the room
They never expected a threat living amongst them. Theyre just kids, not your average jane and joe adults thay should be doing the responsible actions.
Actually nana is finding their weakness like 90% of the time??? Nobody in the anime tell anyone their weakness plainly
Or make a lie on what their weakness is like for example I can read minds but only when I make eye contact for example
Annoyingly gullible characters aside (which is pretty much the main thing that makes people go brrrrrr on this anime), Talentless Nana has the potential to be a good anime if it isn't already decent. It's just sort of amusing to watch her commit the murders and how most of her ways actually make sense (ignoring the gullible classmates lol)
The plot twists are also actually really good if the watcher's hate isn't overshadowing them
Nanao:. 🔪😞🔪
So true a few times in fact I was like “Ha they got you!” Like audibly too whenever she was so close to getting caught.

Actually the time travel guy fell in to the lake because he went back in time before it was frozen and he appears in the same spot he was standing. Nana move some dirt over the ice to make him think he was still standing on the shore before a teleported back in time

just because you have powers doesnt mean you are smart
These kids got seperated from the outside world, are told that they are the best thing since sliced bread, only interact with other kids that thing that they are the best thing since sliced bread and only learn that they need to fight against overpowered monsters and protect the helpless lame normos. They are raised to believe nothing especially no human could harm them, thats why Nana has a easy time.
@@QueenOfDarknes5 hahahaha
Lmao
Guy said he can't swim either, so yeah, he would drown
He can only teleport through time, not space, right? Even if he could swim, he was exhausted when he fell in. If he used his ability instead of swimming, he'd still be under the ice. The moment he went back, he was dead.
Not gonna lie was kinda expecting a version where its "how to killl the talented" breaking down Nana's strategies and coming up with alternatives
That would be epic
That would have been way more interesting!
There is one thing they forgot. the fact the students went "missing" when the new girl came in so they should have suspected Nana
i think it would've been easy to assume from the get go that this "alien thingy" is the new student who just so happens to appear right after teacher mentions the alien. Like bro, it's obvious who the alien is. No one would've died if you attacked her from the start.
Honestly this. We get a new student and people suddenly start dying, also there is an alien threat that no one has seen yet. Yeah I would assume it's infected the new girl
What urks me is that she could've recruited (even by force) Nanao since he has the ability to nullify everyone else's powers.
So does that mean she couldn't read his mind at all?

Huh, I would’ve expected “how to beat the talented” but I guess Nana’s already got that covered. xD
Yeah if you have amazing plot armor
Nana probably could have just walked up to each classmate and been like: "Blow your brains out with this gun."
And they'd be all: "Sure, why not!?"

Bro the shapeshift power is op, that guy turned into the invincible dude and lived the spiked drink, and then was even able to use somebody else’s powers, bro that’s literally too op.
1 detail, the killings started when Nana first began her “classes”, so that would of been one piece of valuable evidence to keep
Why didn’t the invincibility dude just allow Nana to die? If he suspected her to be the murderer why didn’t he just use that kid to get rid of her? Since the girl wouldn’t have been able to heal a dead body. While yes the blonde kid would have likely gotten into trouble however Nana would be gone and soon so would he. After all he had many chances to just get rid of her, not like he can get hurt by anything {As far as we seen. Plus quite frankly if half the other students haven’t caught on that she been doing that quite a bit than he doing them a good favor}
No,no she had mega plot armor
The fact that she has not been caught yet is amazing how many murders does she have to be directly linked to befor the so called detective gets a clue
It's cause the immortal detective doesnt care about the murders he cares more for the conspiracy behind the island as he cant be killed he ends up being more incompetent than characters that can die and thus having more stakes on the plate.

I had a grapefruit sized lump form over the next few days and it basically bruised my entire inner arm a deep plum purple color.. the force on the bottom of my feet made it tingle so badly it felt like pins and needles.
Me the whole video waiting for the first Guy who died to come alive somehow and kill Nana and save his friends.
I know right!?
He gets brainwashed.
Well he does in the manga but gets brainwashed the same as nana did but does everything he can get revenge against her
I never understood the feeling of not knowing which way is up. Maybe I’ve never had a situation like that but also never had that problem in water.
Ok but can we talk about how she could’ve manipulated nanao into helping her
He might trust Nana but he's not that ignorant you know, he'll figure out that Nana is suspicious if she's always around murder scenes and him being there kind of helps her survival against other talented people
Why would you want the help of the guy that was going to have one of the biggest kill count? Like he was going to become their boss, the one that would unite them all on his wing, of course he needs to go first.
Some anime only works when people with superpowers act like their iq is lower than double digits
