Probably somebody here has already mentioned this, but the band is called Foreigner because some of its members were American and others British, so no matter where they were, at least someone in the band was a foreigner there.
Fun fact: when Foreigner toured in 2019, they had a contest in every city they played in for high school choirs to compete to sing this song with the band on stage. It was fantastic.

Underrated by who? I've always known him to have one of the greatest rock voices. By the way, Foreigner was both the first concert that I ever saw back in 1981, and the last one I was at a few years ago. Although I missed Lou Graham, it was still enjoyable.

Loved the first foreigner Album in 1977 and in 1978 bought the cassette and when I moved from Ct. to Fla. I would pop in the cassette and listen to it from beginning to end and do it all again. I made it one time on i95 to Tampa Fla in 20 hours. Never to be able to beat that time but the music kept me going.
Oh I love this song so much. It is beautifully made. Listen to it several times a week. The new Jersey Mass Choir was brought in to sing the backing vocals. By the way it was the first gospel choir on a #1 pop hit.
