    You missed the best part:
    "Breathe deep the gathering gloom...
Watch lights fade from every room...
Bed sitter people look back and lament.
    Another days useless energy spent.
    Impassioned lovers wrestle as one...
Lonely man cries for love and has none...
New mother picks up and settles her son.
Senior citizens wish they were young.
Cold hearted orb that rules the night...
Removes the colors from our sight...
Red is gray and yellow white.
But we decide which is right.
    And which is an illusion."

This song has such heartache for me personally. My good friend, committed suicide, he absolutely loved this song. I talked to him the day, they found his body, never realizing he was going to commit suicide that day. This song was playing when they discovered his body. Just wish I knew, he was suffering so much. Man suicide is not the answer. Please if you are down, felling depressed, please talk to family, a friend anyone, just get help. I miss my friend every minute of everyday. I will always, have his great memories to cherish. RIP - FRIEND.

This is one of the greatest songs of all time, from one of the best albums of all time. They recorded the album with an orchestra. However, this is the radio single edit, the full version has much more orchestration after the main song, and then there is a spoken word poem with more even orchestration afterwards until the end. But yeah, amazing, powerful, meaningful song. I'm glad you got to experience it. Thanks for all you do for all of us! ~Be Blessed

I can still smell the warm air and the oil of the nova and feel the wind on my skin then tide my seasaw came on and She told me to open my eyes and then that’s when the beginning of the love for speed racing began we were on an old back Road and she floored it I’m 47 this year and the grandmother of three beautiful girls two of them are her spitting image literally they make the same faces she did I return the favor of taking my daughters on a drive each of them when I busted them smoking pot and introduced myself as a woman to them you brought up a memory I hold very dear in my heart Leo yes my girls continue the family tradition and one of them is hell of a speed racer just like her mom and just like her granna Shirley I can’t wait for the next three little females to get busted smoking a little pot by me or their mom I will make sure just the same as this album was playing for me and I played it for my daughters it will be played for my granddaughters
Because I love them oh how I love them I can still hear her voice she was a powerhouse of a woman 6 foot two and built like a brick shit house to this day she is the largest human outside of my father I ever knew both in size stature and personality she is dearly missed I wish she would have had The chance to know her great granddaughters especially Eva I often times wonder if that’s my mother reincarnated LOL thank you for this memory Leo truly sorry for the long Post but this is truly one of my most favorite memories
