Debi, when I was growing up my very religious great-grandmother would say "the Devil is a liar!" When she would hear any of us being negative about someone, some thing, or even ourselves. I've thought about that a lot over the years and I believe it to be true. You ARE an artist sugar, it's evident in every single aspect of your life. Your home, your store, your clothing and shoe choices, even your eyewear. No way a non-artist could develop a line of paint! So, the negative thought(s) that you couldn't paint a canvas made me laugh out loud. You've got a gift-it's special and it's yours! Thank the Lord for it-He gave it to you when you were born. And I predict everything for you is just going to get better and better. I'm so proud of you! And we aren't even related🤓🌻 (the little face with glasses is me-). Thank you so much for this beautiful video. It's a huge encouragement to people everywhere-never stop trying to reach your very best potential and to embrace the gifts you've been given. I love your channel! Thank you❤️
Your great grandmother sounds like an awesome lady! She is right! My friend has a saying that I love. “ don’t eat the devils candy” ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much for the encouragement and the wise words🔥🔥🔥🐝
@@DebisDesignDiary, I LOvE your friends saying-I'll have to borrow it. MyGG's name was Lillie-she was born in 1899 and was the real deal...just walked the walk every day of her life. True that!!! I'm hunkered down in my studio painting on canvas. I've painted hundreds of canvases. At some point in each painting I think, "Well, this might be the one I can't make work," but it always works out if I keep at it. Often it's the last brushstroke that brings me to that point. Thanks for your words of encouragement!!!

That little dresser is so cute you never give up I love your work. This turned out fabulous lucky people who can buy your furniture I’m in OZ .Love to you.❤️🦘🐨
Hi Debi, I’ve watched you for over 3 years now, just about every video you’ve made. I thought to myself, after I watched your paint the couch video, I like her , she’s quirky, fun and she paints diy. I could say so much more about you that I love, how you are so real like one of us watching, you share your life and so on. My point however, is that I just saw you paint the flowers with your new product on a bedside table. What you shared about repainting several times , thoughts of just throwing it out and the like. I go thru that whole process on a lot of pieces and say the same things and am really hard on myself. But after watching you, I know I’m not alone. I try to pattern myself with successful people like you. But you are so much more than that. Thank you Debi for inspiring, being honest and real and for your talent that you share with all of us. You can’t help but motivate us all. Marie😀
I took a painting class in college and the professor wasn't very good at teaching, not my words all the art students who had her, but she gave us a lot of assignments. I had to do a master work of Matisse's Pear and Geraniums. Long story short one of my friends thought one of the geraniums was a pig, so I wrote Oink above it. The painting hangs on my wall and cracks me up everytime I look at. My Dad who was an artist always said "it only matters if you like it". I love my painting! Though I don't see it ever on a dresser. I also love your paintings they remind me of the Impressionists. Keep it up!
Debi, only an artist could scrape out some old dried up paint and apply it confidently to the canvas. Your flowers are beautifully vibrant and textural. Who wants to make art that looks exactly like a flower. A camera is the tool for that. But an artist paints with feeling...even if that feeling is fear...oh my how am I going to make this look like something that isn't ugly and cringe-worthy. Yes! You said it...you are finding your own style. Don't give up, keep practicing. This piece is wonderful!!!
Debbie I watch your videos over and over. Thank you I ordered your paints and also some IOD transfers. Tomorrow I will begin . It was no mistake I found you on TH-cam. Lots of love to you. I will try to send you a picture of it whenever I finish❤
You are so stinkin' cute and so stinkin' creative! I could watch your videos all day!!! I used you DIY paint for the first time the other day..don't know why I was intimidated by it..but I'm hooked now..it blended so beautifully, and when I put the wax on it transformed it into a beautiful piece of art. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge, skills, talent and feelings...it helps so many of us!!!!
I live in CapeTown South Africa and just woke up. I'm so excited to get the day started after seeing your video. GA has brilliant tutorials, I had forgotten about them. Anyhow, thank you Debi. You are a Rockstar!
❤I know this is an older video, and you say you can’t paint well in this video, but man, you have such a gift & that dresser is so beautiful! Maybe I’ll watch the video you recommended if it’s still available! Awesome video!🎉❤🎶🌺🌸🌼🌷
Debi! Your sparkle is back! This is probably my most fav of your videos....that's saying a LOT because I adore your past ones. Great job! You look happy and your work is fantastic!
Debi you got this painting thing down girl. Beautiful work. I love your determination. You have concured the painting of the flowers. They are beautiful and uniquely you. Keep up the beautiful work. 🌺❤️💖❤️

Debbie you have no idea how very happy I am to see this video! I've heard you say in the past that you couldn't draw or paint artistically in the classical sense of 'painting' and that you admired those who could. We'll I would hear that and say to myself "Debbie, you are so mistaken". I went to art school, and have seen others blossom & develop their skills and I knew you had an talented artist in you who was dying to come completely out. You are like a butterfly coming out of your cocoon with all of your colors! I was unable to leave a comment before now because I hadn't created a channel. I knew you always had an amazing artist inside of you! I'm excited to see what you will create in the future!! Blessings to you & yours!💛✝🛐☮
Deb, I love love love this... great job!!! Yes you are a artist and may I add a very good artist. I have done several beginner paintings from Angela and I love how she teaches.
I am right there with you 💕 I agree… it shouldn’t take three days , or longer… lots of frustration for me when it does… so I now have go to projects to open up my creativity and happiness
More, more, more inspiration please! Flowers and McKenzie-Childs style would be awesome. I saw some painted furniture with tassels and fringe glued to it. You go first Debbie!!!!
WOW!🤯 Glad this came up in my suggestions. I'm redoing a small little two-door nightstand & opting to go over with furniture primer so I can paint an image. Although mine is not a floral theme it'll b more of an urban hip hop theme, these tips are AWESOME! TY a bunch!
Great job! And yes, it looks bad before it is finished. I find that I need to step away or take a picture to see it from a different perspective. It always looks better after that. Thanks for the inspiration 💗🌸👩🎨
so much truth in this video, wise words about the way we look at our own art.. how we can still doubt ourselves, even after many successes. Making art is an emotional experience, it can be hard to 'remember' to have fun while we're at it :) This dresser turned out GORGEOUS! So glad you didn't give up on that canvas!
This turned out soo soo spectacular! I'm completely blown away by the beauty of this piece. Thank you for the link to Angela's tutorial.....You have made me believe there could be an artist in me too!!
I love it 🌺 I am an “old canvas” artist that needs to learn furniture painting. I used your paints a few years ago and painted a black dresser with astronauts and galaxies for my nephews. It was so much fun. Your paints are wonderful. I will give you a little hint to add to your “pay attention to shadows”. Paint shapes and tones. Ignore the form once you have sketched in your composition and just paint shapes and tones in the colors you want. Another so called rule is paint dark to lights. But who really cares about rules. 😉 I love the idea of trying those pigments.
Those are some great tips cynnthia, thank you! I will definitely give that a try there is so much to learn and it feels like brain yoga every time I try to paint a new piece of art but it is also exciting to see the results💕💕💕 Thank you for watching I appreciate you!

There isn’t much you haven’t achieved through hard work and a great attitude. I’m super proud of you just diving in and going for it. I’m looking forward to seeing your progress!! 💕👏👏
Hi Debi! This is absolutely beautiful! Love the colors. I can't wait to attend some classes. I have a question. I use your paints and have been chalk painting some furniture I pick up at garage sales but afraid to sell because I don't know how to ship furniture. Can you tell us how you ship your furniture so it doesn't get damaged and what carrier is best? Thank you! You are very inspiring! Cheers!
I love your new store! How did you paint the outside of the building? I can totally relate to how ugly things can turn out. That's why I'm afraid to even start.
Debbie, I love what you did with this dresser. If I bought everything needed to re-create your design, what Supplies do I need to order, and what would it cost. 🌸
