Thank you for your video. It showed me what I put in wrong with my adjustable table. I am right-handed, so I was putting the mechanism in on the wrong side! Screwed it in from the left and it works... how about that. Dah.... 🤦🏾♀️

Had mine for 30 years never no problem at all..use it almost everyday
Mine will slip on steel when punching through. I think the chuck is slipping
When you are assembling the drill press the instructions have you press the Jacobs chuck in with a board such as a 2x4 as the ram block. If the chuck isn't fully pressed in this can also cause your issue. If the chuck was really easy to press in then sadly the chuck maybe cut too small to pressure fit. You may also check that your chuck fully closes on a 1/16 inch bit. If it cannot then I would try to get a replacement or exchange the press for a new one.
You wouldn't happen to have a video on how to beat a dead horse.

How does it work with a forsner bit?
It works great! in my potion chest video I drill quite a few holes in some plywood, and it has no issues at all! thank you for your question.

Still not so safe. Can slip easily and that length of that sliding peace is to long and tocklous toclose to the frame of drill press. Be wery careful with that thinks.
So far so good! I do agree that it needs screwed down if it will be under heavy use or load.
