The Hex Flower is an interesting mini-game method of handling an envounter like what you ran

Lycanthropy! Will a possible quest to have the characters cured be conducted quickly, before they go through their first change, or can they be cured later, after they've turned into wereboars? The new ruleset for hunting the monsters was a little complicated, but fun to watch. Nice episode!

Based on my interpretation of the rules, once they change they cannot be saved.
