I've rolled a couple characters up for Shadowdark, and there are two that I really want to play. One because she turned out really well (A Dwarf Wizard with the talent that gives you an additional spell), and one because he's going to do his best to help the party, and probably die in the attempt (A Half-Orc Thief with 1 HP).
I have a goblin warlock that is still kicking at level 3 after having 1hp at level 1 and 3hp at level 2 (and that was after having to fight off two gargoyles solo when trapped against the side of a temple)! So you never know!
Fair enough! I like it because it feels like it saves me from flipping through books more than I would need to, but neither way is more valid than the other as long as you're having fun!
Thanks so much for checking it out! And it's true that the stat bonuses top out at +4. Maybe since I'm playing solo though I could incorporate a +5 to make the character a bit beefier!

"Land of the Lost" was a TV series from the 70s, not the 90s. I don't know what "previous one" you're talking about, though. There was a series of movies that came out starting in the 90s called "The Land Before Time", that was about a bunch of talking dinosaurs. Perhaps you are conflating these.
The previous one was the Land of the Lost series from the 1970s! The one I'm most familiar with is the reboot from 1991, so that is where I'm drawing inspiration from. There was a movie from the late 2000s starring Will Ferrell as well, but it wasn't very good.

Great video! I also own the Mythic Deck. I Don't use it much though. I just Prefer the feel of rolling dice over flipping cards. 🤘

I wonder if there is any stat over 18 or bonus over +3 possible? Great view, looking forward for the adventure to start :)
You can get your stats to 20 (actually I think you can raise them above that), but the bonuses cut off at +4.
