i do really like the looks of r-line one i didn't like is touch capacitive steering wheel and of course audio and climate control it's very annoying when driving but thankfully vw brought back physical buttons

which feel better compared to this mk8 1.4?
Golf rear using multi link, and MQB platform which is also very good. We never did a comparison, but personally both are similar.
Golf leans more to handling, while Corolla leans more to comfort.
Tested in Lekas highway from kajang. Floored from 1st toll, before entering 1st bend to the left after 1st exit, you will hit around 205-210kmh. Then before entering the 2nd bends your meter already around 222-223kmh. Rase macam bole pergi skit lagi kut. But quite easy to get to 190/200kmh😊.
Quite good for 150hp .. tune sikit maybe bole go 240kmh
@@muhamadaiman8683 betul bro. Kene tune. But utk standard form kene atleast GTi or more. Suspension, brake & power semua dh cun utk maintain speed >200kmh apatah lagi utk cruise 230/240 ni. Golf ni 1.4 meh 😂😂😂. Level sweet spot dia mcm kat 160/170kmh tu tanpa rasa bersusah payah. Lebih dari tu mula rasa brake tk cukup kuat, suspension rase “lembut” kat highway beralun etc

@@muhamadaiman8683 😂😂. Compare vento 1.2 saya, 8sp auto kat golf ni takde bunyi pelik2 dari GB ni. Acceleration ok, upshift biar je D or Sport mode sebab tkde jerking. Guna paddle shift ada rasa jerk skit & tak secepat DSG. Crawling during jem, cari parking mmg senang laa. Lepas brake kereta terus luncur kedepan. IMHO GB auto ni ok time jem & cruising. Nak rembat2 tukar gear, DSG lebih sedap. Kalau tukar exhaust myb bunyi tk best mcm dsg kut.

I think uncle ys khong had made it clear in this video. Gearbox for mk8 is aisin 8speed, what to resolve? It is fully solved. Engine oil tends to reduce with turbo charged car, jz need to top up when required. Even older cars NA need to top up. The reliability of car depends on owner of it. Hello where were u last 10yrs?

Ultimately, it's East or West. The good thing about cars is that you can buy one this time , and the other the next time. Also, the Golf is compact, while the Civic is big, so choose the one that you like.
Finally, pick the one that you will regret not buying.
Why not consider mazda 3 liftback for around the same price range

Like every bit of this Golf, except for its CKD quality. I was a bit disappointed to see the doors didn't line up properly with one another while checking it out in a showroom. I hope they don't go too 'creative' to keep cost down.

VW is trying to keep the selling price more affordable
Vw 1.4 tsi engine has severe engineering faults like chain guides failing causing engine failure. The DSG gearbox is problematic over time and bet expensive. Buy a Toyota and it'll take care of you when your money is running low. Vw will make you bankrupt.
It might be the case when it first came out but they've been using the same engine for ages and it's a mature product by now. Plus, it's not even a DSG anymore 🙄
@@livclw040589 this new automatic gearbox remains to be proven over the test of time. Looking at vw audi past history of automatics I don't think its reliable, time will tell.
Currently golf mk8 using 8at gearbox from aisin, Toyota camry & hilux also using aisin gearbox, no issue at all. I using a polo sedan from 2014 until now, the 6at aisin gearbox so far no issue, mileage now almost 300k km, engine & gearbox still in good condition.
Whats with that tiny thing? Gear knob? 😀 Very ugly.
