Great tips..If your air compressor is not working properly, get the valve on it checked . My xc70 3.2l air con was very inconsistent , and previous owners mechanics could not fix it (they only topped gas up). I found a good air con mechanic and he fixed the issue with new valve ($550 instead of $1350 for new compressor). The air compressor in 3.2 is at top of the engine passenger side (RHD) , easy for mechanic to get to.

If it is very hot and sunny outside, you shouldn't run the AC with the car standing still. It will create a high pressure in the AC system which may cause the cooling system to leak. Everybody has had a car that you need to "refill/top up" with coolant gas and it is much less likely to happen if you don't abuse your AC! Instead, open the windows, drive the car for a minute, then close the windows and run the AC with the option to recirculate the air inside the car (there is a button for it), to be able to cool down the same air multiple times. The reason for this is that the air below the car can very quickly become extremely hot in the summer if the car is stationary, creating a huge difference in temperature to the cool air the AC produces which produces permanent leaks in multiple places due to overpressure

Make sure the cabin filter is very clean as I have found it can get clogged fairly quickly. I vacuum and wash mine and when dry spray with air freshener.

You can get out with the keyfob in your pocket, leaving the engine running. The doors lock and the car keeps running for up to 15 mins. This is useful in summer and winter to keep the air warm or cool.
Some have cooled front seats too, which is very nice when the leather seats get too hot.
Sunroof rubber seals tend shrink in hot weather causing a leak into the car during washing or in the rain. Leaving the sunroof slightly open can help.

Does the air con belt need changing at the same time interval as the other auxiliary belt?

Dont know what model or engine you have but isnt the aux belt also running the air con pump?

I don’t think it does, air con has its own belt, so my mechanic tells me.

My 2013 S60 T5 doesn't appear to have the window roll down feature from the fob.... Any suggestions?

Does your coolant level ever change?

Yes it will fluctuate depending on engine temperature :)

25°c is only 77°f.... 34°c is only 93°f. This past summer in Texas in the US, I'd get into my S60 to go to lunch from work and my car would be reading 120°f or 50°c.
