- We start at Steeple Morden Aerodrome in Cambridgeshire where there is a memorial commemorating the American and Commonwealth service men who were stationed here in World War II.
After a rather posh Tesco we arrive at Wrest Park where look round the Grade 1 listed house then Carol goes off to explore the magnificent gardens.
Time for a short rest before we get ready for an outdoor performance of Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” presented by the talented Lord Chamberlain’s Men. This is the second of their performances we have seen and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

My Mum grew up in Steeple Morden so visited this memorial many times.
I lived in Baldock for many years and my parents and grandparents worked at Keyser Bondor (they made tights mainly and some nightwear) then the back part was demolished and the frontage was kept for Tesco… 👍

You're describing the vlog as 'typical English scenes was spot on! The Tesco supermarket had a very grand front to it & made my local Tesco look like errTesco 😂😂 Field of Dreams crackin film Kevin Costner terrific actor! As for the sausage Roll...the less said the better bloody hell it looks cr*p@ 😂😱 now while I was seeing Carole drinking Gin I was,enjoying my cuppa tea 🍵 with digestive biccies & dunking,I'm pleased to report no end fell of any !!!!!!!❤🤣🤣🤣🤣very enjoyable & relaxing way to start a quiet Sunday morning 💯👌

“If you build they will come”, that’s the Field of Dreams and is just a few hours from my doorstep here in Iowa. As always the drone footage is spectacular. It’s almost always my favorite part of the videos. It looked like a great trip and you ended the day on a fantastic note by going to see a play. Big satisfied sigh…..! Mary

What an amazingly beautiful place Wrest Park. The interior of the house was magnificent with the decor and restoration. Shame about the sausage roll Ken, don't know what they were thinking.
We loved Wrest Park but that sausage roll was a shocker 😁👍
Hi both. I used to work in that Tesco building in Baldock many years ago for a small electronics company. We used to make test rigs for fighter jets. Before that I think it was Courtaulds who made tights etc.

Lovely episode. The peacock at the end reminded me of a regular visitor to our garden last year…probably his wayward cousin…who enjoyed our sweet peas and jasmine. I’ve no idea where it originally comes from but it’s been spotted around these parts for some years. Unfortunately on its first visit I thought it might be hungry and thirsty on a hot day…which it was…so I gave it some seed and water but then it took a liking to my sweet words and continued to come back until it had chewed every green shoot in the garden. The darling. Got some decent photos though. Pity I can’t show them here 😃

There is something magical about the English countryside. Some lovely footage to start the episode off. Not huge fans of 19th Century neo rococo architecture/art…a bit blingy lol but you really can’t beat the Capability Brown style English 18th Century landscape gardens. Stunning x. The performance looked like fun too…although I imagine the gin helped a bit lol.
Beautiful place, looked like the perfect day into the evening. Pity about the sausage roll that needed about another 20 minutes in the oven!!! Hope you weren’t Tom and Dick after that! Thanks for another epic vlog.

Haven’t seen such a posh Tesco! Never doubted Pocket Earth 😂 loved the house and grounds. All the pets in the cemetery! Sort of place where you could walk around all day. Good turn out for the show. Hope Carol enjoyed her gin.

Fantastic series, fantastic channel and just such fun to watch. I am due to retire early next year and my wife and I plan to get ourselves a small camper and tour the UK. Seeing your adventures has inspired us to get out and enjoy ourselves, so thank you both so much. We might even carry on the legacy of the "Little Red Camper" if we know where and when you are selling 🤣😂. Just out of interest, what satnav system are you guys using, it seems really accurate. Take care and keep up with the vlogs.......

The Tesco's in Baldock stands on the site of the Kayser Bondor factory ( closed down in 1978) which was designed in the art deco period inspired by Howard Carter's discovery of Tutankhamens tomb sadly all that remains of the original building is the grade two listed facade it is the best Tesco's in the area (staff are more helpful).
Wrest park is a beautiful place for a walk sadly not much of the house is open to the public last time I was there spotted a Muntjac (Chinese barking) deer within ten feet of me and managed to film it there is a lot of history around Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire if you go into Cardington near the church is the memorial to the R101 disaster and we have Old Warden museum which has a very good collection of aircraft even one or two used in the film Those Magnificent men in their flying machines

Question why are the lines on the road in some of the towns in a zigzag pattern
No parking or overtaking in a pedestrian crossing zone. 👍

What do the sharp wiggly lines mean on the roads🇨🇦?
Its a pedestrian crossing zone, no parking or overtaking 👍
After WWII did they start to widen the streets?
Wide streets were fashionable before then along with grand houses. The Industrial Revolution made some very wealthy people.
What is tha zigzag road marking in the Uk mean??
If it was at the side of the road you are not allowed to park within the zone of a pedestrian crossing.
It is illegal to park or overtake in the area of the markings. Usually at pedestrian crossings and outside schools.
How do you find out where to park please
There are 3 ways, an app called Park4Night, studying Google maps for potential sites and we use an IOS app called Pocket Earth which shows car parks 👍
