always a classic when he says "a bit of salt/oil" and proceeds to empty the fucking bottle
people never seem to understand that using as little oil as humanly possible makes shit food. also that it's less oil than it looks
vertigoEdits yah, but
a) its funny to see others mention it.
b) those excess fats are not that good, even if it is the praised olive oil.
Bohol Aesthetic
1) But it's funnier knowing you can't cook as well, much less come up with recipes like this.
2) Fat is moderated by not licking all the oil off the plate (not like it is SUPER greasy either)/eating the entire pile of hummus alone-and besides, alongside the oil, you've got beetroot, I think that adds at least a little balance... No?
that is "a bit of" in gordon measurement system
It's probably kosher salt, which is about half as strong I think
Gordon Ramsays scale of doneness:
1. FUCKING RAW
2. rare
3. medium
4. well done
5. gandhi's flip flop

First of all, as everyone should know Lamb Köftes originate from Turkey, and seeing as I'm Turkish and not a complete moron when it comes to cooking, you can trust me when it comes to Turkish food. Secondly all the _Middle-Easterners_ who're calling Chef Ramsay's Köftes shit, must not realize they themselves are full of shit. Köftes can be made in many different ways, a Chef of Gordon Ramsay's caliber won't prepare a dish without changing something about it so it suits their taste a little more. Chefs don't just make food that looks good and earns them money, they cook food they love to eat. The Parsley and Mint could've been chopped a little finer, *BUT* if Chef Ramsay likes it that way, no one has the right to call him out for _not doing it properly_ as there's no way to properly prepare a dish!
HUS MAN welcome to the internet. First time?
turks are middle eastern
So true, your a great chef if you can change a recipe and make it in a new way that is your own recipe.
In Bosnia we call them ćufte, very good stuff (my family is from there)

Love the very in depth explanation of what sumac is.
It's a shrub from a tree that's dried and used usually as a garnish on Middle Eastern dishes but also as a folding ingredient. It's taste is sour with very light notes of fruitiness.

I love your cooks so much I learn from you every day
Hello Gordan,
In Palestine, we bake our koftas to accent the Tahini
Well done
Palestinian food is so tasty!
the knafe make in palestine is the best!!!!!!!!!
TheOvechkinG the thing is, there isn’t necessarily such a thing as Palestinian cuisine. All Arab countries share one cuisine. Every country brought their own dishes into it, and we made it one cuisine. And it is delicious.
Sees lamd in the title* Me: DID HE FINALLY LOCATE THE FUCKING LAMB SAUCE??!
Hey, I'm from the region this dish originated from (south of turkey) and let me just say that this is inch perfect ! I showed it to my mom who is like a big momma type of mom; always cooking way too much and sooooooo delicious and she asked me to give props to Gordon Ramsey when I showed this video to her because he made this dish with 100% accuracy. Every single ingredient is authentic Turkish cuisine and my mom was blown away by the fact a Scot could make a traditional dish like this to perfection without having lived in turkey, ever. You really are the words greatest Mr Ramsey.
J'adore ce chef il réalise de très bonnes recettes

Wow this looks really good
Wow that is such an amazing dish
he forgot olive oil ontop of the hummus..and kafta is always served well done not rare or M rare
Not to mention that we never add beetroot nor tomatoes or anything other than chickpeas, tahini, salt, pepper, olive oil , lemon juice and sumac
@@rajabouzeid8801 Yeah, but beetroot hummus tastes really nice and it's nothing new. You can buy it like this in the supermarkets for years now
I agree on the mediumrare minced lamb though.
The beetroot hummus thing I s a weird trend that you see in a lot of health food restaurants now. Not only is it against tradition, but I’ve tried it and I’m really not that impressed. It mostly just adds a strange sweetness to the hummus, which is out of place and distracts from the taste of the original ingredients in my opinion.

Can you please do an Arab/North African dish? I dont really see you making any. Try something from Algeria!
Sarah Djitli what does algerians eat ?I mean what kinds of food ?
Clash Of Lords couscous, a cuisine called Osban (stomach/intestines stuffed with ground beef and rice), an onion+tomato dish with beef, something called bourek (Pastry with ground beef, chicken, or fish filling), hrira (tomato soup), Algerian almond cookies. There's a bunch of different things, if you look it up im sure you'll find good recipes.
Sarah Djitli . Sounds good. But i guess couscous is italian and maroc dish ? And harira as well from maroco ? And bourek is turkish and serbian and east europ they also eat it? And osban is italian sausage. Mean those are generally mix from italian, greeks, african, middel east dishes. They are all taste great 👍☺
But im sure sure algerians make those dishes good as wel .👍☺
Clash Of Lords Sorry i didnt explain well, but couscous and harira are from Maghreb, which are parts of north Africa like Algeria, morroco, and egypt. Osban is also traditional in Algeria, and i meant Algerian style bourek. Sorry
