Jamie, I was really wanting to apply to Oxford for PPE, but I'm not doing Maths at AS/A-level.Will that basically put me straight away in the "no" pile and is it basically not even worth thinking about? I just want to know so that I should think about applying for a different subject that doesn't involve Maths at all, even though PPE would be my dream!
I'm gonna be That Guy™: Skype was not founded by Estonians, but by the Dane Janus Friis and the Swede Niklas Zennström - it was the back-end that was developed by three Estonian guys. Good video. I hope your website is coming along nicely, Jamie! I am in the start-up world myself, running a website as well. I can imagine you must have your hands full!
I've pinged my Estonian friend, so I'll see if he has a rebuttal, and thanks for the well-wishes. I currently have 20,000 words worth of content, so I'm on track. After that, I just need to proof read to make sure it is ready to be shared. What part of the start-up world do you exist in?
We run a start-up here in Kenya called HiviSasa.com. In short it's a local newspaper that's tailored for the mobile web. There's very limited access to local news once you go outside Nairobi, so we provide a way for the citizens of Kenyan counties to read local news that's relevant to them. We believe it's very important for a society to have access to news. Personally, I am interested in seeing what impact increased access to information has on a society, both politically and economically - perhaps even philosophically. That's how I stumbled upon your channel btw - I'm applying for PPE at Oxford!
That sounds fantastic! What made you want to start doing this in Kenya? And in most regional papers, e.g. China, South Asia, Japan, they have a 'media' section where academics explore the influence of media on the political process. The internet in China is particularly fascinating, so PPE sounds ideal for you :)
JamoeMills I haven't been keeping up with your videos lately, but what are you doing at the moment with regards to careers? Are you going into a postgraduate course or are you going right into work?
Caleb Perelini I will be going into work. I think I will get the most benefit from not doing any more formal education. Currently, I am trying to choose between jobs. Regardless of the one I pick, it will start in January, so in the mean time I am building an educational website for you guys and an app to help you study more effectively. You can sign-up at jamiemiles.ninja to be notified about the launch.Tell me about what you do :)
Your editing is on point Jamie! :)))

The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad? Nah Jamie's and Simon's Q&A is better.

Loved the Sburban Jungle at the start.
I know right! It makes a great ringtone, too.

Awesome, wish best of luck in your future ventures. I've just arrived in the UK, got an interview at Christ Church for History so wish me luck :D
Amazing! Best of luck and let me know how it goes.
what do you guys think of oxbridge consultancies to help people get into the unis? thanks :)
I disapprove, hence me creating this channel.
I got an offer for an interview for Music at The Queen's College, what would you say is the best way to prepare for an interview? :)
I suppose naturally my next question is why weren't you wearing shoes?! It seemed like the kind of event where shoes could be useful
But then we'd mess up the carpet!
Are you still wearing odd socks?
Yep
Homestuck is kinda very offensive and problematic
Дарья Абросимова How so?
