I have a Weishi long handle that actually performs really well. With the right blade, it’s a comfortable and fairly close 3 pass, comparable to my Slim on 5 or 6
I just wanted to drop a line for these folks they have hands down the best customer service ive ever experienced. I've not spent a single penny on any thing the sell, I didn't discover them till id spent all my money, but yet when I messeged them for help and advise on a razor I had bought they messaged me back in a timely manner and answered all my questions. I can only imagine how they treat paying customers if there even is a better than that. Good customer service is rare today, and excellent customer service I thought was extinct until yesterday. Needless to say but the next purchases I make will be with razor emporium.
Matt, I’m 4 month double edge rookie. Loaded up with all kind of products. I bought your Rex Ambassador and received it about 3 weeks ago. I will admit; high quality product, nice weight and balance. Now I have tried level 5 once and did ok. I usually start at 3, then 2 on second pass and will finish with 1 for the 3rd and final pass. I plan to attempt level 6 soon. Great razor! Will last a life time. 👍🏻
Try going the other way. Start on 2 for the first pass, then 3 and the second and then 4 on the third. This is my preferred way if I change setting between passes.
I tried Harry's as a cheaper alternative to the Gillette fusion, before I went to switched to a de razor and the Harry's was the worst, most uncomfortable shave. I tried fewer days in between shaves and a few other things and nothing helped. I didn't get ingrown hairs, but it just felt like I was using a dull butter knife.
I loved the 6:09 part, Matt I would love to see your review using only that single blade in that cartridge for a complete shave, that would be a great experiment
another awesome video man. I was a Harry's user before I went to wet shaving. my first wet shaving experience oddly enough was the Van Der Hagen. very quickly I bought a parker 91r and also around that time got a great price on some vintage gillette razors (2 slims, tech, parat, flair tip superspeed for $5) after using those a whole new world opened up to me. So glad I found wet shaving. The Harry's razor is cheaper than others which is why I used it but man does it ever start pulling baddddd after the first shave.
I remember when you threw that razor across the room and I said “ Don’t bust on that razor to hard it started me on DE razors and I upgraded over time to better ones!! Like my 34c , my 63 slim that you guys rebuild amazingly!!!!!!!!! Wife’s xmas present. Lots of people are coming over the DE world now. Your channel helps to show a better shave and save money.
I changed from cartridge/multi blade razors because they really bothered my skin. My face would always feel raw after even using a 2 blade disposable. Switched to a shavet in 2014 then to a DE razor in 2015. Never looked back since and I've converted some of my friends to DE saftey razors aswell.
Great head to head! Thanks Matt! The van der Hagen was my first de. What a difference when I first went to vintage Gillettes. I started out with a fusion and had the same problem. Happy to say no more ingrown hairs. Cheers!
Can Der Hagen was my first try at a safety razor. Aside from being no less irritating than the cartridge razors I was used to, the butterfly doors would loosen and I would constantly have to keep tightening it down. It completely ruined my experience and any hope of finding a comfortable shave. Until recently out of desperation I did some research and after giving a look at some new popular SE razors I have decided to give DE razors another try. I recently ordered a Rockwell 6C and can’t wait to give it a try as my DE wet shaving training razor.
Nicely done Matt💈💈 Thanks for another great video. I haven't used a cartridge razor in ??+ years. Last one was a Track II or Atra type, IDK. Sure glad vintage wet shaving made a come back, artisan soap and my Rex Ambassador makes me happy😉along with several other vintage type razors. Sure, an occasional rough shave happens but that's my fault🤔, not the equipment. See ya next time. Enjoy!
I tried Harry's razor many years ago.... Haven't used it ever since, I don't even remember how it felt on my skin. I never re-purchesed it because I seen so many videos of people saying "It tugs and pulls so much!! So yeah... Saved money! Oh and I've seen videos on weishi de razor and they say Its a nice bang for buck!!
I picked up a 40s SS, a 61 Fatboy and a very nice Torrey straight at a peddlers mall a couple weeks ago less than 40 bucks for all three. Thanks for the education Matt.
I just shaved with my WEISHI loaded with a Blue Bird blade and got a fantastic, 3-pass BBS. I have a huge collection of vintage razors but the WEISHI is my go to razor. As we always say, YMMV. Great video, Matt. Thanks for sharing with us.
Nice video, folks. As always, thanks for the transparency. I had the same experience that Matt described: a good shave (B, B+), but the tugging and ingrown hairs persisted. DE took care of that and more.
Funny story about Harry's. I've been wetshaving with a safety razor for about six shaves across three weeks as I was transitioning from using cartridges to a DE razor. I felt kind of bad I had not used my Harry's trial kit yet because I was using my Dollar Shave Club trial kit first and I thought it would take more time for me to get accustomed to a safety razor, which is why I got a set of 8 razors and shaving gel as a "back-up order" just in case. For pure curiosity, because Harry's really nails the presentation and quality of their products on first-impressions, I actually chose to shave with my Harry's razor and shaving gel this week. I was surprised how well it performed compared to my DE--which I had been using the same razor for 5 sessions, so the blade was starting to get dull by this point--yet I didn't feel as much drag and pull nor did I find the cartridge clogging up as much as my Dollar Shave Club razor. (I guess this is why Harry's says each cartridge can last two weeks if you only shave once or twice per week.) On my last session with a safety razor, I used the Harry's shaving gel with Cremo as a pre-shave cream and I was again surprised just how good of a shave I got with zero nicks for two passes. I think my experience alone should put into perspective just how much quality you get out of Harry's while having decently affordable prices (in my situation) for getting 8 razors and shaving gel at $22 (free shipping too.) Also, something I noticed that is important between Dollar Shave Club vs Harry's razors is that Harry's razors do not bend as much, which makes it more sturdy and less prone to pop off. Even though I probably won't use their stuff as much, I will likely keep my current razors and get more blades from them if I need to travel in the future. I also wouldn't mind if Harry's put out a limited edition set of Double Edge razors some day because I'd bet they would have just as much quality.
I have one of those really coarse beards and I switched to DE razors and blades about a year ago. Love the fact there is no drag along my face. I actually do use cartridges once, maybe twice a week depending on time. I do like the Harry's and they are half the price of the big boys. For a quick shave, it's pretty good. I do agree that DE shaving is the best! The blade cost is amazing over those big box store cartridge prices!! Thanks for the comparison! Jim
I got into DE shaving after watching your videos and love it. But I also have a Harry's subscription and use that razor every now and then when I travel. I like the shave it gives and would still recommend it even though DE has taken over for me
The Weishi 9306, which you used for this video, is for daily shaving. You definitely don't want to skip days when shaving with it. The longer-handled variant is heavier and should offer a somewhat better shave. I bought mine off the Van der Hagen label and I've never regretted it. I use it as my travel razor.
Wonderful video Matt! I used to use Harry’s before switching to DE safety razors. I don’t believe I will ever go back to my primitive ways 😌 keep up the awesome videos!
I have found that the hinges split on Harry's. Well it's not even a hinge it's just plastic which when it bends back and forth it splits. Mine did not have trimmer. Maybe that's a different design.
I started with the Micro-Touch 2 years ago. Now I am Vintage Gillette all the way with the ones I use and a growing collection. My wife says “how many razors do you need?” HAHAHAHA...time will tell!👍😊
Matt Danko 3-4 years ago I told my wife I only wanted a max of 7 razors I currently have 10... Of the 7 I was planning on I am still missing the mulhe R41, Edwin jager de89, ikon slant, a custom straight razor, and a travel safety razor (I forget exactly which one I was thinking of at the moment).
That's a great story! Mine is slightly different: I had already owned a Parker 26c, but I didn't know razors had different levels of aggressiveness. The Parker would always chew me up, and who'd thought those old Gillette razors could still work? At my wife's suggestion, I bought a C-3 Super Speed based on novelty, we both figured it would look really cool on the bathroom shelf. Then I thought, "let's put in a blade and give it a whirl, why not?". My first pull down was so smooth, I had to stop.& open the razor to make sure I loaded a blade. Been collecting vintage Gillettes ever since.
Hey Matt the weishi is a hit or miss for every one. My brother has thick stubble and it does a good job removing it. It also worked for me. But now a days I only use my aristocrat open comb and ATT H2. THE weishi isn't engineered very well and the head doesn't bend the blade much resulting in mild shave. Less Blade exposure and less blade gap makes it even more mild. My late 30s aristocrat bends the blade a lot more than the wieshi and gives a more closer shave. I never had bad shaves with wieshi but ATT and vintage gillette gives me closer shave. Wieshi razors are the best razors for the price and quality. They are full brass. And you can get 1 below 20$. A few years back you could get a cool case and gold or brass finished for less then 10$.
Just shaved with Harry's for the first time. Very comfortable but the shave wasn't as close as my Dorco / Pace / Barbasol razor. (All three names are the same product)
I personal use the Weishi(Van Der Hegan) almost every day, and have very think hair never had an issue. I think it comes entirely to personal preference(I also use a Gillette fusion when I’m in a hurry).
Great vid as always, Matt!! I started with the MicroTouch then found a bunch of Gillettes from different antique shops. Lucked into a Slim Adjustable which is my "go to"! 💈💈
My Wilkinson Sword Classic (all metal) is exactly the same construction as a Weishi and the blade exposure is very uneven. One side a lot more exposure as the other. Only by pushing the blade in one direction while loading can i get an almost even exposure. My advice, only buy three piece razors, the blade alignment is better.
I use a Weishi as a mild daily shaver. I get a close comfortable, enjoyable, irrigation free shave from it. I’m not bbs but the results look good and feel good.
I tried Harry’s 4 years ago. I didn’t like it because it clogged so easily due to the tightness of the blades. I found the Dollar Shave club was better. Now I travel with a 1940s Gillette Tech fat handle handle in a Frugal Shaver Altoids tin. If I fly and just have my carry on, I just go to a dollar store and pick up a cheap pack of double edge blades. All those blades are Persona blades and work well.
These are the sharpest blades in the business. The German high carbon steel is phenomenal and unmatched. I’ve used one cartridge 16 times already and just now it’s starting to tug
Matt, Good review. I got one of these free and gave it to my wife! I won't use cartridge razors, if I need a quicker shave, the alternative to my DE razors is the electric razor believe it or not :)
I got a VanDerMicroWeishi razor because it: Was cheap. It has a long handle. It came with a stand. It is mild enough that I need to use sharper blades such as BiC Platinums, Voskhods, or Personna Lab Blues to get a decent shave. Agreed that Parker would be a better choice - the Semi Slant shave is way above the razor's price.
Well Mark, just another confirmation cartridge is lost, once one starts DE/SE. That is good so, cheaper as well. Myself even wud go that far to not shave for 1-2 weeks than use a cartridge again. Congrats, cheers fm the Lion City.
I really like the Harry's razor. Whenever I use a cartridge razor I choose them. Their cartridges are just so much better than the Gillette carts. The pivot is better, the blades are wider and they feel sharper, the blades aren't just secured by a metal clip that tugs hair out like the Gillette cartridges, and on top of all that they're like half the price. As for the safety razor I was never able to get a good shave with mine. It would always cut me for some reason. I'm glad I finally got a 34c.
I use Harry's right now and love them. Tried dollar shave club (trash) and used Gillette 3+ blade cartridge and electric rotary and foil shavers for many years (since I started shaving 15 years ago. I have been looking at trying a SE OR DE razor
Well done getting through that shave. I honestly expected more from the Harry's considering the advertising. You'll be looking forward to your next shave already I'm sure.
I can get a good shave with the micro touch/weishi if I shave 1 day of beard growth. Otherwise I use one of my other 20 razors ahah but it's still decent.
Great Video Matt! I use the Van Der Hagen pretty regularly and I agree with you. It is very very mild to the point that it is frustrating & time consuming to use, always requiring 3 passes and a bit of 'touch up' to get to that BBS shave. It is a good razor but I have found that I actually got a better shave from The Dollar Tree Store's Assured Brand DE Razor ($1) and enjoyed the shave much much more simply because it is much more aggresive (BBS in 2 passes every time w/no 'touch ups'). Now. I would NOT recommend this razor to anyone because of the lack of quality materials used in it's manufactor, it is very light in weight and I found it will leak rusty water (something NONE of my other razors have EVER done) if not completely dried and thoroghly cleaned by submering it in rubbing alcohol after each use. I am now looking at purchasing an adjustable razor so that I can find that 'sweet spot' of aggresiveness that I enjoy. I am thinking about a Gillette Slim Adjustable from the year I was born to add to my humble collection and would like to hear your opinion of this razor and how it compares to other adjustables that are out there. My dream razor IS The 'Mighty' Rex Ambassador BUT the price of it is astronamical and way too much for someone with my budget (I am disabled and have a very limited income as a result). I am hoping to hit the Lottery someday so that i can afford The 'Mighty' Rex but until then it will remain just a dream razor in my world. Maybe You could do a video showcasing several diferent adjustable razors from both the past and present and give us your opinion of them, how they rank, Pros and Cons, etc. sometime?
The VH is a garbage razor, I switched to the DE89 and wow what a difference. Just found a Gillette tech, 1965 model, found at an antique shop, cant wait to try....
@@Mike-.747 One Mans garbage is another mans treasure... I am disabled BC of a incurable neurological disease that I was struck with 10 yrs ago... I have lost everything as a result, my home, my career, my once very useful body and I have no $ to spend on expensive razors. I live on food stamps and rely on a pittance compared to the life that I once had. I had to give up other necessities that I would normally have purchased on the the day that I found my Van Dr Hagen at a Walgreens Drug Store. It was the last 1 on the shelf and it was about $10. That $10 may not seem like much to you BUT to buy that razor I had to take $ that I was going to spend for my toilet paper that month to buy it, then to make up for needing toilet paper I had to trade with a friend some of my food stamp $ (Buy them food) so that I could have toilet paper. I went with less food that month so that I could have that Van Der Hagen. It IS a treasure in my world. I am sure that I am NOT alone when I say... Choose words carefully... they can be very hurtful... I wish I had the $ to throw away on expensive trinkets and then trash talk the cherished possessions of others like you do... The Van Der Hagen is FAR from Garbage!!! It IS very mild razor and it works extremely well. It IS a GREAT introductory Razor for those new to Our Hobby. It is affordable and has NEVER fail me. You do Not like Mild Razors... I get that but the word 'garbage' is simply unnecessary and untrue.
Weishie is actually a Japanese company that co owns a manufacturing plant in China. The plant has ten highly efficient sink die casting machines spitting out parts 24\7. The 9306 is perhaps the most popular DE razors in the world with over 1 million sold to date. It was my first DE razor . I am nostalgic about it. I love your company - FYI!about it.
One of my coworkers wanted to get into double edge safety razors, and I tried to warn him, “Don’t buy that Van Der Haggen. Instead spend a little more for a Parker, Merkur, or Rockwell 2C.” And of course he didn’t listen, lol. Hopefully he’ll like it enough to invest in something better next time, lol.
Tbh i own the emperor Augustus and a weishi...that weishi easily won even on max the Vikings could barely cut and i used brand new feathers for both was very disappointed but i kept it because its just so damn beautiful with the gold and cognac
@@RazorEmporium its great i got one yesterday, Its a lot like a long handled aristocrat with a barber pole handle with a super speed head on it. The quality is pretty decent although it is made in China, but looking at the razor you wouldn't say it is.
I think, they bought the company "Feintechnik Eisfeld" back in the 1920s. They are today the last DE blade producer in germany. They produce blades like "Bolsano", "Croma" and "Wilkinson" blades.
I agree with the awful tug on the Harry's razor. It was the worst shave of my life. Took mine back to Target and got my money back. Safety razors blow Harrys out of the water. Great video!
The Weishi razor is a very good close shaver, I get alot closer more comfortable shaves with my Micro than I do with the Merkur 15c which I purchased from your company. From my experience it is not mild by any means!
Oh yeah that faux slant move was the "Gillette Slide". Great video like always! I personally do like Harry's but more because they are a good company, the reason I switched to DE and shavettes was that horrible clogging issue. Incidentally it's not so much tugging as dragging. I'm half asian with eXtremely thinck whiskers and even a feather blade in a shavette has a "tug" ... multiblade cartridges just have a large area that drags sort of like friction on the skin vs tugging on the whiskers. Atleast that's my opinion ymmv.
I love Harry's. I never understood these hobby "wetshavers" I tried it and honestly didn't find it any better than cartridges. I shave my head as well as my face. In fact I found it too time consuming and not as close as a shave
Matt, please try the new Gillette Skinguard. I use it, I like it, and suspect you might like better than other cartridge razors. The Skinguard appears to be trying to be the best of both worlds. It has far less tugging than a Fusion 5, is nearly as close, had no burn, and in some ways is reminiscent of a single-edge (e.g. injector) razor. Try it. Sharpologist (Mantic59) likes it too, a little.
I have to agree that some cartridge razors do tend to feel quite rough, compared with a good DE razor & blade. I get the impression that the manufacturers of these things don't really care how sharp the blades are. After all, when you have 3/4/5/6 blades - at least SOME of them should cut. Or perhaps they are designed to be less sharp in order to pull the hairs out from the follicles, and the multiplicity of blades eventually gets the whiskers mowed down. After all, a super sharp 1st blade, which sliced cleanly through the hairs, would make all the following blades redundant.
I got a Harry's set for Xmas.. tried it... it's okay for a 14 yr old for a first set … I got some irritation... the razor started to rust after a second use.
I find the backside one blade trim option one these plastic razors helpfull but the other side of these razors just pretty much suck indefinettlely. Honest review though.
"Maim your face"? It is a cartridge, you will have to not be paying attention to even get a nick. It looks like you are shaving with the Harry's as you shave with a DE, i.e. no pressure. You need to put more pressure on a light cartridge head. I enjoy my DE89, but I never knew what razor burn was when I used Harry's or a Mach 3. Nor did I ever get a nick or cut. P.S. Rinse the Harry's blade from the backside to clear out.
Like mat I am also shaving with a safety razor for about a year. The main reason was my acne problem; It happened for me that I was watching one of the razor emporiums videos and as you know mat always mentions that he had been suffering from ingrows, irritation and etc. And I though that maybe it is also the case with me so I started shaving with a de blade, good preparation and surperizingly it worked even though I was using a very cheap de razor the lord tech. I would have used a better razor like 34c or de89 if they were avalible in Iran, but unfortunately you can not find any de razor better that lord tech because its the only de option in Iran despite the fact that you can find plenty of cartridge razors here, there is a tribble stereotype of des in Iran, everybody thinks that they should be using a cart because they think that carts are much safer and comfortable. Maybe this is why they do not import quality de razors. Thats so unlucky for a wet shaving ensiuxiast like me. You can not understand how comfortable des are untill you try them. One day I ran out of blades and I was not in the mood of going out and buying a pack of them, so I decided to use the 3 blade bic easy razor that I had. It was brand new. After lathering up I did the first stroke but it was pulling and tugging my hair like tweezers. It was not really easy. In the following week I was left with 5 or 6 redbumps on my face. If you also have a sensative skin like me, Use the de once and you will never go back.
I tried a Harrys razor (before moving to DE shaving) and I absolutely hated it. For me, I found the very straight/upright angle of the cartridge head on the Harrys to be awful for shaving with.
I bought a Harry's razor...used it once and put it away forever. I can't stand having to flush the blades out every few strokes, only to have them clog up on me again and again. If you compare the distance between the individual blades on the Harry's to the blade gap on a Gillette Fusion 5, the gap on the Gillette is much bigger than on the Harry's. That means when you rinse the blades, more water gets between them and they flush out more easily and completely than the Harry's. Despite all the hype about Harry's owning a German blade manufacturer in Solingen (pronounced: "Zolin"), a German city long renowned for the manufacturing of fine swords, knives, scissors and razors since medieval times, I think the Gillette blades are much sharper and last longer than the Harry's. Also, my Gillette Pro Fusion 5 "Power" is more aggressive than the Harry's, delivers a better shave and is the next best thing to a DE razor. If I run out of DE blades, the Gillette Pro Fusion 5 "Power" is the razor I reach for. Harry's, unfortunately, is a distant second or third.
But for about the $10 of the Harry's razor, one can get a Weishi direct shipped from the manufacturer, via E-Bay. And for the $20 of the MicroTouch1, one can get an authentic Super Speed, again via E-Bay. For someone just starting out, why bother with a $30 razor?
You have definitely proven the old adage, "Your Mileage May Vary", in this video. I have both razors and both give me excellent shaves. I prefer to use Harry's on the neck/throat area as a supplement or backup to any DE that is tugging. I have the Micro Touch One version and it works every bit as well my Edwin Jagger DE 89 L...But that is how it goes....
I like Harry’s better than Gillette 5 blade but I got into wet shaving because of the clean shaver but he never makes videos anymore and then I met u and I love wet shaving and I want ever go back to cartridge razors. But you guys just shave y’all’s face I shave my face and head!!!
The VDH/ Weishi etc is ok if you like a 6 pass shave and great if you are new to DE shaving. But in truth they are both crap. i started with a VDH, went to a Merkur DE and now use a straight. If my shave is too aggressive, i have infinite control over the blade angle and a blade that never clogs. Shaving using great soaps and blades and taking the time to enjoy it is what turns a ballsaching chore into a pleasure. T
I have a Weishi long handle that actually performs really well. With the right blade, it’s a comfortable and fairly close 3 pass, comparable to my Slim on 5 or 6
What blade would you recommend?

The Weishi goes in my Dopp kit. Not going to risk my vintage razors getting lost during transfer at the airlines.
Have you done a comparison with the cartridge razors that use a battery to vibrate? Would be interesting.
Not yet
For a cartridge I love the Defender, refills are not over-priced like the Gillettes are.
Nice video, folks. As always, thanks for the transparency. I had the same experience that Matt described: a good shave (B, B+), but the tugging and ingrown hairs persisted. DE took care of that and more.
Thanks for sharing! Like I said it's great for a lot of people but we all do have a unique beard.

I like the shave it gives and would still recommend it even though DE has taken over for me
i tried that vander from walmart. sliced my self to shreds, lots of blood. did i get lemon or was i doing it wrong?
Great video I use a tech with silver blue best set up for me 👍
Thanks Matt. I got rid of my Harry’s razor and went to a DE. No regrets much better shave.
That Weishi is a pretty good razor.
I like mine a lot
You should try Defender razors, I have used DE for years and its the only cartridge razor I can use.
I've been trying to steer him to this too. I use de for my face and defender on my head.
If you shim the weishi with a couple used blades with the edge cut off it works way better.
You would probably like the El Grande from wet shave products. Similar price, but gives a better bend
Honestly enjoy the Harry's products I almost always use their post shave balm
Great vid as always, Matt!! I started with the MicroTouch then found a bunch of Gillettes from different antique shops. Lucked into a Slim Adjustable which is my "go to"! 💈💈
My Wilkinson Sword Classic (all metal) is exactly the same construction as a Weishi and the blade exposure is very uneven. One side a lot more exposure as the other. Only by pushing the blade in one direction while loading can i get an almost even exposure. My advice, only buy three piece razors, the blade alignment is better.
I have the same razor but don't experience that problem. I like it.
I use a Weishi as a mild daily shaver. I get a close comfortable, enjoyable, irrigation free shave from it. I’m not bbs but the results look good and feel good.
you should try the dorco pace 7
We did do a dorco video - I'll check that out thx
I tried Harry’s 4 years ago. I didn’t like it because it clogged so easily due to the tightness of the blades. I found the Dollar Shave club was better. Now I travel with a 1940s Gillette Tech fat handle handle in a Frugal Shaver Altoids tin. If I fly and just have my carry on, I just go to a dollar store and pick up a cheap pack of double edge blades. All those blades are Persona blades and work well.
Amen, on each point, including the Altoids case.
Wait do let me get this right. A mild DE Razor can cause tugging????
These are the sharpest blades in the business. The German high carbon steel is phenomenal and unmatched. I’ve used one cartridge 16 times already and just now it’s starting to tug
Sounds like you have a lighter beard than I do. That or more resilient skin ;)
Glad to hear you're liking it !
That razor is so mild even a feather won't make it aggressive
Mild nothing.....it is the most aggressive razor I have ever used.
Dunno about that. Had a fantastic shave with a Feather in my Weishi. You might consider a freshly sharpened axe for your shave. Lol.
@@patkaczmarek7362 😂😂Basically I shave with Muhle R41 and Merkur Futur and they always give me a close shave unlike your Baby Weishi
Hey matt, how about a Parker 87R vs Gillette Aristocrat TTO for a next video?
I use Harry's right now and love them. Tried dollar shave club (trash) and used Gillette 3+ blade cartridge and electric rotary and foil shavers for many years (since I started shaving 15 years ago. I have been looking at trying a SE OR DE razor
Well done getting through that shave. I honestly expected more from the Harry's considering the advertising. You'll be looking forward to your next shave already I'm sure.
I was too honestly. And yes they have great branding and presence.
Maybe You could do a video showcasing several diferent adjustable razors from both the past and present and give us your opinion of them, how they rank, Pros and Cons, etc. sometime?
Glad to know it wasn't just me ;)
The VH is a garbage razor, I switched to the DE89 and wow what a difference.
Can you please try a DE razor from the Vikings Razor company? The Emperor DE razor I hear is good, and the Crusader.
Tbh i own the emperor Augustus and a weishi...that weishi easily won even on max the Vikings could barely cut and i used brand new feathers for both was very disappointed but i kept it because its just so damn beautiful with the gold and cognac
What do you say on Wilkinson Sword Premium Classic ? :D
Are you referring to the new TTO razor?
Haven't tried it yet
@@RazorEmporium its great i got one yesterday,
Its a lot like a long handled aristocrat with a barber pole handle with a super speed head on it.
The quality is pretty decent although it is made in China, but looking at the razor you wouldn't say it is.
It looks exactly like a Weishi 9306-P:
www.amazon.com/Wilkinson-Sword-Double-Blades-Refills/dp/B07J4VDX3J/
www.aliexpress.com/item/32898158977.html
I think, they bought the company "Feintechnik Eisfeld" back in the 1920s. They are today the last DE blade producer in germany. They produce blades like "Bolsano", "Croma" and "Wilkinson" blades.
Good info thx ;)
I agree with the awful tug on the Harry's razor. It was the worst shave of my life. Took mine back to Target and got my money back. Safety razors blow Harrys out of the water. Great video!
"Not as bad as I was hoping." That pretty well sums up your opinion on carts.
I'll check it out. It's been on my list for videos for a while!
Also: what is your opinion of Bevel? Other web shavers like it.
Even swipping down sometimes doesn't even work when you try a multi--blade razor.
I'll take a Weishi over a cartridge razor any day!!
Just bougth The hone 15 brass razor any news on that from you 👕👍💈🇩🇰
You should do a shave with a rolls razor
Great suggestion!
I find the backside one blade trim option one these plastic razors helpfull but the other side of these razors just pretty much suck indefinettlely. Honest review though.
Thanks to the subtitles, I now only ever hear, "Hey everyone, Matt Bizarre Sick"
LOL
I really wanted to like the Harry's razor, but it tugged on my facial hair to the point where it was unusable.
Thx for the feedback.
Moved from electric to DE with the Van Der Hagen. Then I discovered Merkur, no going back.
Will you manufacture 3 piece razor like REX in future... Then anyone can get REX brand.... if you release world wide
Yes - already in the works ;)
Folks I talk to about DE shaving are afraid of getting cut. They also can't imagine that there is a huge difference.
Great points. I agree to get started on the cheap and see if it's for you.
Great comparison video. For me I'll pass, thank you. DE till the end 😊
Bought a Harry’s cartridge razor on clearance for 2.50$. Wasted the 2.50$.... gimme straight edge all day long!
+1
The weishi shines with a feather blade! It needs a sharp blade.
I'd use a Dollar Tree DE over that cartridge razor any day of the week.
T
Harry's isn't bad....that's about all I can say
Every video I hope he would shave off that goatee.
It'll never happen lol.
Watch the WSP El Grande Video ;)
“If that’s not going to tell us, who is?”
Matt Pisarsik (sorry if i Misspelled your name)
PAA
Mantic59
Geo Fatboy
The Clean Shaver
And many others.
Can I use harrys for my private parts
Try it out but DE is superior for manscaping ;)
I hate Harry’s razors. They tug and pull. Never bought it again. I’m tying the razor he is showing. First thoughts, I think it will work well.
Oh that cartridge tug... ugh....
Harry's hack, funny...
If five blades are good, fifty is better... 😉👍
