That's about the smartest comment I've read in a while.
There's always some scam to get you to open the door so a dirtbag can force entry n begin a home invasion or worse. I'd hoped cops would do better this day in age, but here we are🤦🏻‍♂️
There's plenty of errors by all parties in this video n any one of several things could have defused the whole thing.
Keeping the door shut was the biggest one.
Here they can serve papers by posting them on the main entrance of a dwelling so the "I have papers for you" excuse to gain entry doesn't work. Only exception being arrest warrants n search warrants.

Cops are under an enormous amount of stress...the dog lunged at him, he thought it was going to attack him. Everyone who is so critical of police officers should try wearing a uniform for a week. They don't get paid enough and have their lives on the line every single day. I'm glad the cop is okay...and of course, mom's looking for the payout.

From the way I see it, the Officer misfires the gun when the boy and dog came out of the house, though they both still got hit and he was genuinely concerned when he asked if the boy was alright. But, that still doesn't mean what happened was right and the officer should be accountable for it.

He was not penalized for it or fired or put on leave, you can clearly hear if ask if the kid was alright and not only that, but both the boy and dog survived. In my first comment, I did say that he should be accountable for it since the bullet hit the ground inches away from the boy and dog.
The bullet fragments still hit them both, but did not kill them, hence why I said that you can hear the Officer ask if the boy was alright but that still doesn't that he shouldn't be accountable for it since he did injure them both, albeit accidentally.
