At least I now have affirmation of the “it’s in her head” thought…… it’s always in their heads. I’m not to blame for someone else insecurity. Currently In a committed relationship for nearly 20 years…. And this will be my last. If this were to end for some reason, I’m done.

    Women's Currency:
    1) Attention (time, intimacy, sharing)
    2) Validation ( listening, acknowledgment)
    3) Protection (safety, providing)
Finding the right balance to prevent the crazy can be difficult. At the same time, if you are a Chad or Tyrone, you're their exception and need not concern yourself with such things.

I'll make it simple ladies. Your man wants peace, period. He doesn't want to come home to drama, nagging, and petty insecurities. He wants his home, where his woman is, to be his peace. I can guarantee you one hundred percent that if you are his place of peace, he will give you everything you could ever want in a relationship. Men are simple, they just want peace.

One time when my ex-wife and I were dating for a while....we went to a movie. After the movie as we were walking out, she was all over me! Hanging on me, rubbing, kissing, the works! We stood and deep kissed in the parking lot for a minute or two. Then, into my car for me to drive her home. So, at her place, I get out too and walk her inside. Where I attempt to pick up where we left off in the movie theater parking lot. "Wait! What do you think you're doing??" She exclaims. "Well, what do you think?" I said. So make a long story short, she turns me down. I really couldn't believe it. So I leave, go home and take care of myself. But it wasn't too much longer and we were "intimate". But that night after the movie, was the ultimate "mixed signals". It's astounding what women will do and then try to throw it back on the man.

I agree with those three things. But for me, showing intimacy starts with one thing that I long for women to do and do not get...
Initiate a message to me once in awhile.
That shows me that you are thinking about me.
I have had in the past...oh....35 years had only two women reach out and initiate the message.

When I first start with a women I come on strong as far as sexual desire because I want to establish immediately what I want. I am divorced with children that are young adults so I am not going fantasize too much over a future with any woman. I could be guilty of the second one. It is good advice to set a pace that I can handle. The last one I do not know. Many people in this world are too interested in themselves to want to listen to someone else talk about themselves too much.

There are two wildly underrated things that affect attraction, in my very humble opinion. a) Gait: the way a woman walks. I recall someone once remarking that catwalk connoisseur Jerry Hall in her prime glided like that rivulet of oil that once ran down the side of the can in a UK Castro oil Ad. Walking down the street I follow women unaware of the pigeon-toe and the knock-knee (it's why I absolutely adore watching the most graceful Olympic runners).
    b) Voice: there are countless audially discordant examples of this in the News Media on both sides of the pond. Your voice is extremely attractive and avoids the grating nasal discharge of so many outwardly visually attractive USA TV newscasters; that is until you cancel 'Mute' and the image is fractured.

If women only got out of their heads and started to reciprocate in a relationship, men would not lose interest. Relationships are not one-sided. Women need to do something in order to keep a man's attention. If having a relationship with a woman becomes a another full time job without benefits, then I must move on.
I am direct and loving. I do not play games with anyone's emotions nor hearts. If I like you, you will know it with details and reasons. My boundaries are present and fair. I do not expect anything extra from a woman that I do not expect from myself. My main turnoffs with women are: 1) Women who reveal personal info to others about me obtained during private conversations. 2) Women who will not defend me in public with their family and friends. 3) Women who lack loyalty. 4) Women who take and take without giving back. 5) Women who will not return calls and texts in a timely manner. I realize life and work can get in the way of communication every once in a while, but there are no excuses for not getting back to me. Respect my time as I respect yours.

Whose ever Friday night it was, they picked the restaurant and paid. So one Friday night it was my turn to pick and pay, we went to dinner and back to his place to watch a movie. I went into the bathroom and came out, low and behold there he was in all his glory, buck assed nekid standing in his living room. So much for the "slow burn"💥. Yep! It was a tad bit awkward to say the least. Monday morning I could tell he was embarrassed, I blew it off and 10 yrs later, we still giggle about it.

Hi Sarah! Question for you - who cares what women think or what habits kill attraction, etc? I've never approached dating as a dynamic where women hold all the cards, or that men need to "adhere to some secret formula" to win women over by figuring them out. I've procured a lot of women over the years and always did what I wanted. The moment women copped an attitude or resorted to playing that "you don't get me" me game, I immediately backed off and began sleeping with their friends. I don't have time for stupid games because it's not all about "her".

Best words I've seen for this is, "when did you start thinking I don't love you?" I add my own of "why did you start thinking I don't love you?" The answer is usually "I became afraid..." When I ask "where did that fear come from, it is usually suggested by some other source, typically from media somewhere. This means to guard our relationships we have to guard ourselves from sources which contain generic doubt, sneaking in from unusual angles. Consider: they don't know you or your relationship--how can they encourage or recommend you to doubt your life? Or to have anything to do with you? You have to let these things in to you, they can't affect you unless you let them in. This kind of deceit and deception is what they get PAID to produce, and that is MORE than enough reason to block it, without ever looking at it. If you actually have an issue, communicating about it, and if necessary seeking trustworthy advice from known successful friends or professionals is far better than "how do you know what he's REALLY up to...?"

Thanks, Sarah. Numbers 1 & 2 are problems that women bring on themselves, by wearing makeup, fancy hair, showing skin, playing hard to get, and all those aspects of "sex object" behavior. Number 3 is the result of men's behavior with other men. We keep everything superficial, and that's how we roll. If he's not being honest and forthcoming with her, THEY NEED COUPLES COUNSELING to open communication channels on needs and wants.

You look pretty young and no ring. So are you in a relationship? My first real on stated a little slow because I admit I was nervous. She had a baby so I was a virgin 19 year old. We went out everyday for 2 weeks before we did the do. It was exciting and I fell hard for her and married her for 26 years and out of left field she says the oprah winfrey line( I love you but I am not in love with you) Only to find out my misgivings were almost nothing because she was having multiple interludes over half our marriage.

They never stop chasing the Chads and Tyrones. No matter how good of a man you are, how genuinely you focus on Sarah's advice, and how supportive and devoted a husband you may be, it cannot prevent this. Keep in mind that you're absolutely not alone in the grief that I know you went through and are likely still going through. The same thing happened to me recently after 21 years of marriage, along with a couple of my friends. I tried, as I'm sure you did, to save the marriage to no avail (I was pathetic), only painfully finding out later the actual reasoning behind her wanting to be done with us. This situation has become commonplace in the U.S. over the last decade. It's trendy and sanctioned behavior through the rising popularity of ultra-feminist-produced social media content over the internet. Stay focused on yourself brother, and your children! Peace

Of course you don't want to fall into fantastical thinking that loses all restraint and discernment. But part of the problem is that no one distinguishes romantic feelings or the "love story" aspects from the "long-term commitment" aspects of this. Romantic feelings can and often do set in right from the start, and no feelings are wrong to feel. Some people do get excited more than others, and that isn't their fault. That's just where they are at in their internal world. As long as you communicate that these are just passionate feelings and do not mean they are going to be your life partner, then it's fine. I find that women are more understanding if you seperate your passions from your knowledge of their personal life. So there is no right pacing for a relationship in any objective sense. It depends on who you are and where you are in life, but you should not confuse romantic with partnership in life because many romantic partners may not be good life partners.
This is also confused because what yo say is somewhat contradictory here. You need to make a woman feel safe but in the same breath you say they need mystery. Surely these are contradictory expectations. Safety has to do with familiarity. Mystery has to do with the unknown, unexpected, unpredictable. Part of the problem with relationships today is that people are expecting too many things from their significant other that make long-term success almost impossible. They have to have every aspect of their lives already worked out, but the problem is that a lot of these things do not have any relevance to whether you will be good for them in building a relationship that lasts. You can have stability, but you may have to sacrifice some of the other things that you want. You cannot have it all, and that is the problem with so many modern expectations around marriage or relationships.

Regarding the second, I think that women are confounding the problem when they place high demands on men early in dating. If you have a list of 30 requirements for your date (and if we dont know what those are) then we are forced to either do everything, or risk the date ending because we failed to live up to a hidden criteria.
This sets men up with a catch 22. Either he works hard to get thr first date, and then fails to live up to his own example after a while, or he "is just himself" on the first date and fails to get a second.
Ladies, you need to be reasonable with your standards or at least express them (no: hinting is not expressing) if you want him to be able to live up to it.
The more I learn about female psychology, the more I understand why the Bible gives men and women the different roles it does. Because she would lead with hidden instructions hints and clues that he would be expected to puzzle out before he could figure out where they were going and try to catch up. Just because you get somewhere first, that doesn't make you a leader.

This is a perfect example of why men are giving up on relationships. All good men want companionship, respect, and accountability. With women, once they get what they want, they don't want it anymore. You're expected to read their mind's, and they are constantly testing you. Not complaining, just stating a fact. Men and women are wired differently, and will never cohabitate piecefully. Instead of all these instructions videos on how to change yourself to please a women, we need to accept each other for who we are ,or just move on. It shouldn't be that complicated.

@5:36 excuse me? Men are not consitent? So the implication is, women ARE consitent? I got to think about that. (Now I have a headache.) Here's a rhetorical question that will be an epiphany for most men: if there is no s3x, what benefit does she bring in to your life? Your vision improves without manipulation. Respect yourself, be deliberate, be observant. If you can be patient, eventually she will tell on herself.
